  • Q. Considering that price difference between Hyundai Venue SX petrol and diesel version is ~35000, should we buy diesel variant from mileage point of view? With the improvement in diesel engine technology in recent times, I got to hear that maintenance cost difference between diesel and petrol variant is not huge.

Basically, the selection of fuel type depends on your daily running with the car. We recommend opting for the diesel engine if you drive for 50 kilometres or more in a day and vice versa. The diesel engine uses 15-20 percent lesser fuel as compared to the petrol ones and returns better fuel efficiency resulting in cheaper running costs. As for the maintenance/service costs, for the diesel engine, it is estimated at Rs. 18,959 in 5 years and that for a petrol engine is Rs. 14,371 in 5 years.

  • Q. How is the ride quality and real mileage of Hyundai Venue 1.0 litre turbo petrol in the city and on the highway?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 3 weeks ago

Inside the city, you can amble about comfortably without having to downshift too often in Hyundai Venue. You can hop over a speed breaker in third gear, and then accelerate past 100kmph with ease. On the highway, you can cruise at triple-digit speeds all day long without a hiccup. Here too, overtakes will require very little planning. There’s enough torque at your disposal to let you pull ahead in the same gear. The 1.0-litre engine feels versatile enough to tackle city duties as well as road trips. For a three-cylinder engine, it’s refined as well. Yes, it isn’t as smooth as a four-cylinder engine and some vibrations do creep in on the floorboard. This is especially noticeable during start-up and under hard acceleration. The ARAI claimed mileage of Hyundai Venue 1.0 litre turbo petrol is 17.52 kmpl. Moreover, we would suggest you take the test drive of the vehicle so that you can understand the difference which will help you to make a final decision for your purchase - Car Dealer

  • Q. Why am I having less mileage on my Hyundai Venue AT petrol?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 3 weeks ago

At the initial level, you will not get good mileage figures as a new car takes time to accustom - the Engine, Piston, Fuel Lines all takes time to lubricate and initial mileage will be low. It generally takes up to 800 to 1000 kms for your car started to offer better mileage. While at around 4000 - 5000 kms distance when covered, mileage will be at its best and will stabilize which even gets better on an oil change at 7500 - 10,000 kms.
