    Nikhil

Yes, please go for the same.. This will help you get rid of all the fuss that might occur after 3 years. The extended warranty is for 2 years. So, your car will be protected for total 5 years.

Extending the warranty has its own benefits and if you plan to keep your XUV5OO for a longer period of time, we suggest you go for the extended warranty.

  • Q. I am confused between WRV, S-Cross, XUV-500-Diesel Manual. My Basic Needs are 1. 7-Seater car, 2. Mileage-above 22 Kmpl and 3. Low maintenance Cost. Please suggest. - XUV500?

Your basic need of 7-seater is fulfilled by only XUV500 in the selected cars. where as ur second need of 22kmpl, it's not possible in any of these options. if u want to fulfill both the basic need then I would suggest Honda BRV.

You won't get the mileage of 22 in any of these cares. 7 seater there is only one - XUV500. If you ignore the 7-seater factor, you can choose WRV. But I would suggest to have a look at Tata Harrier and Hyundai Creta.

  • Q. What is ground clearance now ? has it been increased? What is the ground clearance as compared with creta and scorpio - XUV500?
    Sharanbir
    Sharanbir | 1 year ago

Sir when we look at the vehicle and the road the opposite appears to be true scorpio maximum creta in between and XUV the least . Why is this ? Is it an illusion or ground clearance definition is different for all ? Please be kind enough to reply . I am a farmer and need some suv /xuv not very expensive but good or best ground clearance . Thank you.

It is 200 mm for XUV500 and Creta has 190mm compared to Scorpio which is 180mm

  • Q. Life time of an engine or how many kilometers does XUV500 engine run under good maintenance?
    Vishal
    Vishal | 4 months ago

Hi, No fixed Parameters to judge or to limit the life of any engine, it depends on a lot of factors. My XUV is touching 1.15L KMs, it is 5 years old but still performs like new, I used it for both, city driving and highways, it has never let me down so far. I have done non-stop solo trips in extremely rainy conditions, in extreme summers, and in extreme wintery condition as well, all such trips I'm talking are between 800 to 1200 KMs. Never a problem, ever! If you'll respect it, it will respect you back, if you'll abuse it, well, it will still reciprocate! With my engine, I'm sure I'm not gonna have any major issues in the engine before 5L KMs. Regards!

@ Nikhil | I have been driving this for past 4 years and 80k kms and it seems to perform pretty well. Not sure, how many kms the engine takes. But, considering the performance it shall last easy 2L kms. Thanks

Well, I had bought xuv 500 in sep 2013, and have driven it for 70,000 KM's. But mine was a bad experience. The car's body is badly corroded in multiple places and rain water is leaking through the roof!!. Despite of taking good care of the car over these 6 years , the condition is badly deteriorated. This is for sure that Mahindra uses cheap quality door making their cars and any investment ( I had paid 18 lacs ,on road price then) made would go down the drain. Would never buy a Mahindra car ever again!!
