  • Q. Among Dzire, Amaze and Aspire which is better in Petrol?

All above mentioned cars are good and have their own forte. Choosing one will depend on fuel type, brand preference, specific feature requirements etc. The Honda Amaze makes a pretty serious case for itself as THE choice for customers in the compact sedan segment. It’s unique design, spacious interiors, premium features, excellent ride-and-handling qualities and, very importantly, the brilliant diesel engine coupled to the equally brilliant first-in-segment CVT, make it highly attractive. Honda has also promised a premium ownership experience without the costs involved. While, Dzire don’t get any more polished than this. A spacious cabin, comfortable ride, feel-good features and a hassle-free ownership experience - the Dzire promises it all! On the other hand, The Ford Figo Aspire makes for a nice city commuter in its petrol guise and a great all-rounder in its diesel avatar. There are certain inconsistencies in quality both on the inside and out; but it isn’t a deal breaker in any manner. It’s a rare compact sedan that’s easy on the eyes and while it’s not a traditional Ford in terms of handling, it should be easy on the pocket in the real world too. The petrol engines are refined and will lap up the city commutes with ease. If ‘fun to drive’ is a must-have on your checklist for the next car, the diesel is the one for you. Overall, the Figo offers good driveability, a long list of features, a good set of USPs and in many ways, undercuts cars that cost a lot more. Sir if your running is 3000 km per month then go for diesel only coz there is no price difference in diesel and petrol and for diesel variant you have to pay more as well as government is strict on diesel vehicles....so you have to calculate your running and depreciation cost of diesel vehicles......but apart of this if you choose petrol variant then you can go to Honda Amaze as aspire in petrol variant gives 12 to 15 kmpl and your running is on higher side Honda is good for petrol engine and service network is also strong as u have to drive between cities Ford has this drawback......My choice is for you is Honda Amaze further choice is your ....Happy Riding

As per your monthly car usage, we would suggest you pick for a petrol car because diesel makes more sense when your monthly car usage is more than 1500 km.

  • Q. My driving is less may be 10000 kms per year. Should I go for the diesel or petrol - Aspire 2018?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 8 months ago

As your average running is 833kms(approx) per month which makes your daily run to be around 20-30Km. We would suggest you go with a petrol car according to your requirement. If you are more of an enthusiast and demand swift response from your car, then a petrol car makes more sense. The petrol engines more over demand a low maintenance cost and lasts longer than the diesel engines. The gases released by the petrol engine are less harmful than the diesel engine exhaust.

  • Q. How is Ford Aspire, is it good to buy? What resale value can be expected for petrol or diesel variants?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 9 months ago

The Aspire is a good overall package of looks, features, safety and driving dynamics which are not easy to find in the segment. With the recent update, Ford has plugged all the gaps in the Aspire’s arsenal. The new petrol engine is almost as fun to drive as the diesel. It’s amongst the most value-for-money compact sedans on the market today. Ford Aspire offers comfortable ride quality gobbles up potholes and broken surfaces easily. Its clutch, steering and gear action is light that makes it super easy to drive inside the city. Talking about its petrol engine, it comes with 1.2 and 1.5-litre petrol engines. The 1.5-litre engine makes 123PS of power and 150Nm of torque but it’s available with the 6-speed AT gearbox only. The 2018 Ford Aspire facelift we drove had the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 96PS of max power and 120Nm of torque, which makes it one of the most powerful engines in its class. Although, it does need to be revved if you want to have fun, but the sweet spot lies just above 3000rpm that is not only approachable but also more forgiving on the consumption front. You only need to rev it all the way up to 6000rpm if you really intend to test the limits of the vehicle. At sedate speeds, it is equally well mannered and there is ample torque available to perform quick overtaking manoeuvres. Talking about the resale value it would be really hard to share any predicted value here. The value completely depends upon the factors like the year of manufacturing, kilometres the car is driven, what is the ownership of the car, the physical condition also play an important role in it. So to get a better word would request you to please visit the nearest authorized dealership so that you can get complete gist regarding the valuation of the car.Related read:2018 Ford Aspire: First Drive Review: https://www.zigwheels.com/reviews-advice/reviews/2018-ford-aspire-first-drive-review/32041/

  • Q. Sir, which one is best in all aspects among these all are Petrol versions : Elite i20 asta, S model Honda amaze, Ford aspire titanium + ?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

Undoubtedly. With the changes, the Aspire is definitely a much better package. The key takeaway for us is that the Aspire petrol no longer has a chip on its shoulder. It isn’t going to be the unloved child in the engine lineup, anymore. It’s easy to drive and has enough pep when you’re in the mood for some fun. It’s just as desirable as the diesel in our books. The cherry on the cake is the fact that it's actually lighter on the pocket than before. Petrol variants are at least Rs 16,000 cheaper, and if you're eyeing the mid-spec Trend, that's a full Rs 34,000 less. What's also appreciable is the introduction of the new Trend+ variant that sits at roughly the same price as the old Trend, and offers a bucketful of added features.

Both the cars good to buy and have their own forte. If you're looking for a performance oriented car with solid built quality and good fit and finish then we would suggest you to pick for Ford Aspire. Otherwise, opt for Maruti Dzire as it is a spacious cabin, comfortable ride, feel-good features and a hassle-free ownership experience - the Dzire promises it all. Do take a test drive in order to judge your driving comfort.

  • Q. My monthly usage is within 1000 kms. Which one is preferable diesel or petrol with in 8.5 lakh range. - Aspire 2018?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

As par your car usage, we would suggest you to go for a petrol version. The premium that the "Trend+" warrants is totally justified considering the value proportion of the added goodies over Trend variant. In fact, the Trend+ is certainly among the most value-packed mid-spec variants in the entire sub-4m sedan segment. It would’ve been icing on the cake if Ford could have added height-adjustable driver’s seat from the Trend+ onward.
