The new wagonr has a 1.2ltr engine where as the old one has a 1ltr engine The new one has bigger and airy cabin space. New wgnr has a pretty large boot space, literally double the space of an old one . Its much more practical and has got better suspension , ABS and EBD are standard in all varients. Though it looks a bit awkward from the outside its a very practical car with a bigger engine.

New one length dimensions are bigger. Lookwise there is an improvement. Although the driving characteristics and overall performance should be similar. If this is your first car, please go ahead and buy the new Wagon R. If this is to be your second car, you may go for the improved Swift or Baleno. Try to do technological upgrade every 6-8 yrs.max., in case you can afford.
