• Q. Thanks for your time and valuable suggestions. Could you please suggest me with the best choice if I have to choose between 2018 New Ertiga AT and BRV CVT considering below requirement, 1. Automatic transmission 2. 7 Seater 3. Reverse parking camera 4. In city (avg 30KM/per day self- drive) 5. Occasionally long drive with family 6. Reliable and Stable for long-term

I own a V-CVT BRV and have taken a test ride of Ertiga AMT last week. My friend was looking for one. I would point out, where Ertiga scores over BRV. 1. New ertiga offers little bit more space in 3R than BRV. 2. The dashboard looks better in Ertiga than in BRv especially with the wooden finish. 3. Ertiga top end is way cheaper than BRV, even if you compare automatics. 4. Ertiga AMT version gets FR seat AR where BRV does not. I have installed the Armrest separately from Honda itself. 5. Ertiga AMT version gets the 8inch touchscreen system where BRV does not. Now where does BRV score over Ertiga 1. 2R tumble seats. Much easier to get in and out of 3R in BRV than Ertiga. 2. 3R is also tumble seats. Just imagine the boot space when 2R is tumbled and 3R is fold flat. 3. CVT beats Marutis torque converter any given moment. The acceleration and power generation is better. 4. Honda engine is better for long term reliability compared to Suzuki's. I have also owned City before before exchanging it for BRV. 5. Driver as well as all row passenger visibility is better compared to Ertigas. Last but not the least, soon you will find Ertiga Taxis waiting next to your personal Ertiga. IMO, thats an important point. Happy driving!!

Honda is more reliable, as I did have an Ertiga earlier I can confidently say that. CVT is better than the 4speed torque converter. I can even say the reliability of parts, wear and tear and even cost of service that I found of Honda is much better. Where BRV would not shine is the actual space inside as the second row is not as wide as that of the Ertiga. Being Indian Maruti has a better resale compared to Honda, but if you are considering keeping the car for at least 5yrs then go for Honda

Well if power and handling is not yoir concern then definitely new 2018 ertiga is the best option it has features and its wider than brv, but performance is first on your list then nothing can beat brv in terms of acceleration and handling combo.
