The dual-clutch transmission is a bit on the heavier side as it has a lot of moving parts and gears comparatively. There are two clutches that controls even and odd gear ratio with the first one getting an odd set of gear. It also has two transmission shafts that control those gear ratios which are already divided the odd one being inside the even and longer. Compared to an AMT, the gearshifts on the DCT are jerk free and smooth and as there are no breaks in transmission, it has better efficiency. Moreover, Renault Triber gets a 5-speed 'Easy-R' AMT. For the exact maintenance costs, we'd suggest you to connect with the nearest authorized service center in your city.
