  • Q. Sir considering the fact that maruti is discontinuing diesel engines especially the one from Fiat.Is it worth buying one with heavy discounts on maruti diesel cars.i mean it's resale and spare availability after 5 and more give me unbiased suggestions.

    Due to BS6 , there is need of upgradation of diseal Engine and that is why they start discontinuing production of diseal vehicle. But they said they will not stop production of diseal Engine in future but presently discontinued due cost factor in upgradation of such engine to BS6. Now, spare parts will be available because all diseal vehicle they sold earlier must get spare parts. In case resell value, in diseal vehicle the resell value will less due to the upcoming BS6 norms. You have to bear cost of upgradation of your vehicle from BS4 to BS6 to use BS6 fuel. But in petrol there no problem because they can use BS6 fuel without any upgradation of their engine. Now ball is in your court, whether you will go for BS6 diseal vehicle or you want stay with BS4 vehicle.

    Spare parts atleast for maruti won't be an issue. About resale, the fact (depending where you reside) people prefer well maintained diesel over petrol any day.

    I am not satisfied with mileage i have ertica zxi 2021 company claim 19 kmpl average but since i have purchased my car mileage is not more then 13 kmpl

    Fuel type was diesel.So spacious.Mileage is 18 kmpl.In middle sear there is arm rest.It brings a royal look and comfort.

    I have a ertiga 2020 petrol cng model, It’s driving experience is good both in cities and highways.The pick-up is average to good based upon your driving style.Ertiga gives mileage of 15-16 on petrol and 20-25 on cng.The service cost is around 5000-6500 based upon how you maintain your car.It can easily fit upto 7 people in the car and somewhat luggage with you.It’s build quality is average in comparison to what its competitors are offering.The engine is very refined and powerfull in this era of modern cars.
