- The 2020 Honda City is more of an evolution rather than a revolution. Honda has played it safe by ironing out the older car’s shortcomings and making it an overall complete product. It still rides on an identical 2600mm wheelbase, but the new City is longer and wider, courtesy a heavily revised platform. The new City’s design looks premium with elements borrowed from the Accord and Civic. Even the interior is more European with a cleaner and simpler design which we really like. Honda has also loaded the new City decently. New additions include Honda’s LaneWatch Camera (part of blindspot monitoring wherein a camera is placed on the left side outside rearview mirror), a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch screen, connected car technology with Alexa remote capability, and a tyre pressure monitor. Carryover features include touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, cruise control, a sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start and auto headlamps. Safety features on offer are six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors with a rearview camera and electronic stability control. The new Honda City’s petrol engine has 2PS more power but the torque figure remains unchanged. It also gets a new 6-speed manual over the 5-speed manual transmission offered in the fourth-gen City. The new petrol engine also claims an extra 0.4kmpl of mileage. Both fourth-gen and new-gen City petrol engines get the option of a 7-step CVT automatic with paddle shifters, but the new one has an improved unit.Read more -2020 Honda City Goes On Sale Alongside Its Predecessor.-2020 Honda City Launch Tomorrow: 5 Things You Should Know.
- Yes, From switching to renewable and reusable materials to cleaner means of transport, switching to an electric vehicle for next-to-zero emissions seems like a good idea too. Converting to electric mobility is about more than buying an EV. New EVs like the MG electric SUV will not take away the fun of driving either. An electric powertrain offers immediate throttle response and the surge of undelayed torque makes it easier to overtake other vehicles on the road. EVs also offer a more serene experience as the electric powertrain is virtually silent, especially when compared to the distinct clatter of a diesel-powered car. Currently, long-range EVs carry a slightly premium price tag, but the government is already offering various benefits to make them more affordable. These would also offer savings in terms of energy costs as electricity is a lot less expensive than fossil fuels like petrol and diesel. For the early adopters, new EV offerings will be feature-loaded with extensive warranties for a wholesome ownership experience.

- Both the cars are good in their own forte and are from different segment. Honda City 4th generation is still the same comfortable, reliable, spacious and easy to own car as before. Honda has almost perfected the City’s positioning as a great all-rounder. The City’s interior space and build quality is good. In fact, it is comparable with even some D-segment sedans. On the other hand, the Nexon does have a couple of aces up its sleeve. The ride quality, though slightly stiffer than before, can still match up with the best in the segment. Its sure-footed mannerisms mean that it makes you feel safe and its biggest ace is the rear seat experience, which can easily be termed amongst the best in the segment. It looks better, feels more premium on the inside and now has a feature list to walk shoulder to shoulder with much of the competition. Honda City : The Comfortable Cruiser
I recently bought the new Honda City 4th generation and have been enjoying its comfortable ride and practical features. It comes up with more legroom, a wider cabin and a quiet engine the City feels spacious and refined. The seats are cushiony and supportive, absorbing bumps well. The infotainment system is easy to use with physical buttons and a simple interface. While not the most powerful engine, the i-VTEC offers enough power for city driving and the CVT transmission helps keep the engine in its efficient range.
