I woupd suggest you to get the gt tdi because it is better for hilly roads due to more power

For the hilly roads, the petrol model is more preferable owing to their less weight and instant power delivery. The less air, at times, could cause some trouble in diesel working.

Now petrol comes with 1.0 ltr engine its better to drive hilly road is polo Diesel 1.5 ltr.

Both good, petrol will be 50k cheaper. but mileage is high in deisel.

In Petrol go for GT not the normal 1L petrol it lags in power Or in Diesel go for any variant which u like
