  • Q. My i10 car is second hand and we took the car in year 2017. We have no idea how many servicing the previous owner did. Recently a week ago I gave my car for normal servicing and in that servicing we got a call from Hyundai showroom that apart from normal servicing there are many other changes to be done including that of AC. When we got the invoice there was no major change done and no other parts or extra accessories fitted or replaced. Still we got the invoice and the cost over it for normal car servicing is 28000/-. For a moment I was freezed to see such a huge invoice. I really don't know if the Hyundai showroom have charged me correct for my car servicing. Kindly help me with this.

    Service centres will never do the job in your presence. Keep watchful. There are so many reliable mechanics are available. Normally near auto parts shops you may find such mechanics working on roadside. Get few smaller jobs done first. Then decide. Same thing happened with me continually for at least 5 to 6 years. Now I get the job outside. They will do the job in front of you, if you want.

    Usually when they change a part they keep the old part in the car or atleast the box if the new one ensuring you that it has been replaced if not so you can go to the service station again and get it confirmed.

    You must email and give written complaint for the same. If issue not solved, then you may go for consumer court too.

    It's a great one for city traffic, Can be cornered very easily, Good initial pickup for prompt taking over, It's allround a small family car.Maintenance cost is pocket friendly.Milage is pretty good around 20 kmpl, Overall so need not you worry about regular filling.Handling & engine response is very good.
