    Its all depends on the performance of vehicle, the diesel vehicles generally have more pulling power than petrol varients and have more torque in comparision to the petrol in addition to this the diesel vehicle have better mileage with lower fuel cost. So the people want fun with sharp pick up can choose the diesel varients. Some cons are also there the life of the vehicle, marginally higher service charges but these are the useless point on account of fun and smooth driving pleasure.

    It totally depends upon your use. If you want good mileage and initial torque go for diesel, but diesel will be more in price than petrol. Maintenance will be more compared to petrol. Petrol car will be smooth in driving. less in cost and maintenance. but initial torque you'll miss out.(this is my view). You please try both the vehicles and decide

    Depends on your usage it your running is minimum of 50+then diesel or less than 50 or use car alternate day or twice a week then petrol is good option * Do your calculations in the end both are same cost if we calculate fuel and service costs
