Q. I have brought Elite I20 Era petrol model which was in my budget, later on I came to know this gives very less mileage as compared to Baleno which is in same price range. Can you help me out what exactly petrol Era gives mileage in city and highway. I am new learn and will go in minimum spend and also what are additional accessories I need to upgrade for this, this is my new and first car and really seeking your expertise suggestions and advise.

Mileage is a concern, from my last 1 year experience, city mileage is 13kmpl and highway mileage is upto 15kmpl. Mileage mainly related to the driving skills. As you said that you are a learner and during learning stage we press clutch and brakes to often which results a mileage issue. Accessories are your choices, in market various varieties are available, so choose according to your need. As you are learner my guidance that first install back sensor so that you get alarmed when to apply brakes in reverse gear.

I have been driving i20 Asta O 2017 model, even i felt same while driving my new elite i20. i used to get in city 10 -11 and highway around 13 -14 km per ltr only but after realize vehicle need to drive very passionately. if you looking for good mileage from the vehicle, city max you can get 12 -13 km per ltr only because of neck to neck traffic but highway you can get around 16 -18 with full time ac and driving speed maintain between 70 - 80. Even when i maintain that i gets mileage around 16 - 18 km per ltr.

Thanks all for your valuable suggestions and answers.. when I went to check accessories in showroom, the prices almost 30 to 40% higher compare to outsiders.. and also showroom guys were telling that you have to go accessories here only since we will not give warranty to car because we never know how outsiders are doing fittings of electrical wires. Is there any suggestions on this regards whether to go outside or with in showroom..

After 2nd service is i20 petrol gives 12 to 14 in city and 16 to 18 on highway, which is very less in compare of baleno, you can buy infortainment system it costs 15k to 16k,you can also change your steel wheels to alloy wheels and shark fin antenna is also available after market. I think these accessories is enough.
