DSG Gear Box is fitted on Polo. Which is a proven technology from VW
No, we can't say it a powerful car in its segment. Volkswagen Polo 1.0 MPI Comfortline Plus comes with a 999 cc MPI petrol engine which makes 75bhp/95Nm and these are decent figures for it. If you want a car that can fulfill all your basic requirements with a good build and like calm driving, it would be a good pick. Do take a test drive for better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
Among the two, if you are looking for a more fun-to-drive car equipped with a host of safety features, then we'd recommend going with the Ford Freestyle. Ford is always known to bring cars loaded with a best-in-class safety kit. The Ford Freestyle is no different and scores high on safety with six airbags, ABS with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), ESC (electronic stability control) and TCS (traction control system) along with ARP (active rollover prevention). It’s a fantastic all-rounder that manages to combine the basics of space, fun and everyday usability right. Moreover, we'd recommend taking a test drive of the car for a better insight into the performance, comfort and compatibility. Follow the link for dealership details - Ford Car Showrooms

For strictly city drives predominantly, I would go for Polo highline, but for mainly off road drives Ford freestyle will be my choice. Freestyle driving comfort is more, panoramic view is more, but after all Volkswagen is Volkswagen. I hope you understand.

Maruti Brezza and Volkswagen Polo are from a different segment and selecting between the two would depend on your preference of the segment. If you are looking for a sub-compact SUV with a spacious cabin, lower maintenance costs, frugal diesel engine and good road dynamics, then you may go for the Maruti Vitara Brezza. On the other hand, if you are looking for a premium hatchback with quality interiors, good engine options, the convenience of 7-speed DSG and good features, then you may opt for the Volkswagen Polo. In order to know which car would be a more suitable companion, we'd recommend taking a test drive. Maruti brezza you should prefer because unlike other maruti cars brezza's build quality is very good and vw didn't gave any update to the polo so brezza looks more fresh ,brezza's maintenance would be low and you won't get much resale value on vw polo later on and maruti is known for very descent resale value .i saw many polo cars selling at very low price later on but maruti gets very descent reasle value
Volkswagen Polo can be had with 75PS, 1.0-litre petrol engine or a 90PS, 1.5-litre diesel engine. Moreover, Polo is also available with a more powerful set of engines - 1.2-litre TSI petrol and 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine that belts out a power output of 105PS and 110PS, respectively. Though the smaller engines are fairly capable of easy manoeuvrability in the hilly areas, you can opt for the more powerful engines if you seek better power and performance. Also, take a test drive of the car before making the final decision as it would help a lot in making up your mind. It's good to ride. but make sure the chassis wont touch the ground. it's well protected with fibres. but the shocks of polo is sensitive. if 5 members sit and ride almost every bumps and gutter your back side will touch the ground. I live in Bangalore and almost every time I face this issue when with family. other than that it's a beast in hilly regions. very much comfort and nice pickup.
