The Baleno which we knew as the YRA had been in speculation since a long time coming now, but no one really anticipated that it would once again attract the Baleno name tag. While people might wonder if the new car carries any of the old cars genes, let us clear that first up that the new Baleno is a completely different ballgame. The Baleno is an international model for Suzuki and is based on an all-new platform, which will underpin future Maruti models including the next generation Swift. In spite of being larger than the current Swift, the Baleno is 100kg lighter and said to be 10 per cent stronger. This not just helps it meet the stringent European safety norms, but also offers excellent power to weight ratio. The ride quality of the new Baleno is far superior to any of the recent models launched by Maruti Suzuki in India. In fact, we could go so far as to say that it is probably the best. It rides with a certain poise and confidence and seemed extremely surefooted on the highways. The steering is light and reasonably communicative, more in tune for city use. It’s a large car, but there’s hardly any body roll or wallowing. Brakes, too, are good for their job, with ABS and EBD ensuring it stops quickly and safely. We like what the new Baleno brings to the table. Its got refreshing new style, plenty of features, in fact the Baleno gets ABS, EBD and dual airbags standard across all variants, climate control, apple Carplay and the works. Yes it could do with more powerful engine options but then India is a market for high fuel efficiency numbers and the Baleno has got that covered. suggest you test drive both Maruti Baleno and Maruti Baleno RS.

Until now it's very good experience to have baleno alpha1.2 petrol. Its a good car mileage is good, maintenance cost till now after 1year is in my pocket but sometimes it pinched a little on a long drive why I didn't go with diesel. But still nice to have petrol Baleno because it has good mileage in petrol as compared to its rivals like i20 petrol, Figo petrol and others.
