Swift lacks in following points:- - Ride: Stiff set ride not suitable for bad roads. - The quality of plastics inside the Swift's cabin feel hard and not premium enough. - Prices of several variants overlap with that of the more premium and spacious. Performance: The Swift continues to be powered by the same set of engines with the same output. Petrol and diesel both the engines retain their inherent characteristics - the petrol being the smooth and relaxed one that charges up as it goes past 4,000rpm and the diesel being the more torquey and fuel efficient of the two that unleashes as the turbo kicks in post 2,000rpm. The manual Swift continues to be an enjoyable car with a light clutch and short-throw gearbox. But it’s the AMT that’s the talk of the town. The AMT or the AGS, as Maruti Suzuki likes to call it, is finally the gearbox that can manage most of the driving situations on its own whether it is a hill, slope, flat, rough, choc-a-bloc or an open expressway. The shift responses are now quick and it understands throttle inputs better now. Read more: 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift: First Drive Review- https://bit.ly/2tPtvgh

Swift is sporty & performance oriented. Test drive a swift & you get the pleasure of performance. The swift diesel is the benchmark. After crossing 1800 to 2000 RPM, the turbo kicks in, & you literally feel as if an elephant is pushing the car from the rear.If you want additional performance, you can get a Pete's performance kit fitted for about 50K. This will give you amazing & thrilling performance but will bring down the fuel efficiency.

I own a Swift petrol zxi. the performance is simply awesome. the low end performance is just more than efficient which makes it a good car for city drives and it's also a good car for highway drives.this car can do triple digit speeds in the highways with ease and the high speed stability is also good. braking is at good too.

The performance has got better in the latest version because of the reduced body weight. This car has a good overall performance and if taken care properly this car is very durable. This car is a value for money deal. I have a Swift VXI since 2012, it has travelled 94,000 kms till date and is still in tip-top condition because I always serviced it in time and replaced old engine oil and changed some old worn out parts, this way you can keep your car in good condition.

Depends on what you expect from your car. It's not a 0 to 100 in 2 min. vehicle. But it will get you from point A to point B in comfort without burning a hole in your pocket.
