Q. How is engine performance as compared to Innova crysta?
  • Tata Safari is powered by the Harrier’s 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 170PS and 350Nm. The new Safari gets the choice of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The 2-litre diesel engine and gearbox have been carried forward from the Harrier, and in this new 170PS state of tune is pretty easy to drive. The drive modes sharpen its suitability for a given environment. City mode makes it easier and peppier to drive at low speeds in the city whereas Sport mode makes faster drives or highways stints snappier. Travelling in the Safari will feel all the more enjoyable as the engine gets up to speed quickly and more importantly without making too much of a fuss. On the other hand, Toyota Innova Crysta comes equipped with the existing model’s 150PS 2.4-litre diesel engine and 166PS 2.7-litre petrol engine. Both engines are offered with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions The Innova Crysta comes with a rear-wheel drivetrain. For a better understanding of compatibility and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.

Q. Is Toyota Innova good for daily 300 KMS running with family of 7 occupied?
  • I have traveled to Bangalore and back the same day from Chalakudy in my innova, drove it myself, thats about a little over 1000 kms, I had a 2 hour break in Bangalore, thats all, and I didn't feel tired at all. The only complaint I have is, it should have a six speed manual or automatic . Its a bit tough in Bangalore city traffic.
  • It is absolutely good to do 300plus kms everyday. However it will only be good if you have to face relatively less traffic and drives are long enough. Daily city driving with tight roads & congestion with frequent short hauls may drop your mileges very low.
  • It is a comfortable car but for 6 feet or above people find it a bit cramped in driver seat as the adjustments for driver seat are not as good as it used to be in the older innova ,if you don't mind about the plastics in the car and your priority is comfort ,I personally think Xuv500 seems to have a bit more room and the engine is also a bit smoother
