Toyota Etios Cross Overview
Toyota India has discontinued the Etios Cross hatchback in India and has removed the BS4 model from the company website. In the BS6 era which began on April 1, the Glanza will be Toyota’s entry-level model.
Production stopped in January and dealerships are clearing the BS4 stock before the April 24 deadline for BS4 sales.
The Etios Cross is a cross-hatchback based on the Etios Liva. It distinguishes itself from the hatchback with bulkier bumpers and body cladding. Under the bonnet, it offers the choice of the 90PS and 132Nm 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Etios sedan in addition to the Etios Liva's 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel motors.
It offers a more premium cabin than the Etios Liva, although the design is identical between all three models of the Etios family. The Etios Cross may not be an SUV, but its powerful engines and protective cladding make it seem more rugged than its hatchback and sedan siblings.
