Handling, Electricals, Fit and finish, Spongy brakes
The Tata Safari a decent SUV for the price and while most niggling problems can be overlooked, reliability will always remain a question mark with this vehicle
Editor's View of Tata New Safari
The Tata Safari is a lifestyle SUV that has been around for over a decade and with the advent of increased competition, it has started to look a little old in the tooth. On the inside, the Safari is spartan, however there is loads of space and passengers travel in comfort. The Safari is known for its smooth ride quality and the 2,2 DiCOR engine offers ample power to haul this behemoth around. Plagued by some time honoured Tata problems such as poor electricals, vague gearbox and questionable brakes the Safari still manages to rake up quite a fan following.
