The Magnite has crossed 40,000 bookings since its launch in December 2020, Nissan has stated.

The Nissan Magnite is available in five variants and two engine options. It comes with features like an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, and LED headlamps. Nissan also provides the Tech Pack, an accessory kit that includes a wireless charger, an air purifier, a JBL sound system, ambient lighting, and puddle lamps.

Priced from Rs 5.49 Lakh to Rs 9.59 Lakh (ex-showroom), the Nissan Magnite locks horns with the Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Ford Ecosport, and the Tata Nexon.

The price of Nissan Magnite starts at Rs. 5.59 Lakh and goes upto Rs. 10.00 Lakh. The price of petrol variant of Magnite ranges between Rs. 5.59 Lakh to Rs. 10.00 Lakh. Nissan Magnite is available in 20 variants and 8 different colours.

Magnite Specifications

Nissan offers the Magnite with two petrol engine options: a 72PS 1.0-litre naturally aspirated unit and a 100PS 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor. The Magnite comes equipped with a 5-speed manual as standard while the turbo-petrol engine also gets the option of a CVT. The turbo-petrol engine has a claimed efficiency of 17.7kmpl with the CVT, and 20kmpl with the manual transmission, whereas the naturally aspirated unit offers a mileage of 18.75kmpl.

Nissan Magnite Variants

The Magnite is available in five broad variants: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O).The naturally aspirated petrol engine is limited for the first four variants, whereas the turbo-petrol will be offered across the top variants. The CVT, which comes with the turbo-petrol option, is available with the XL, XV and XV Premium only.

Magnite Features

Nissan Magnite comes loaded with features such as an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument display, cruise control, air purifier, LED headlamps, and keyless entry with push-button start. Safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitor and electronic stability control. Nissan offers an additional Tech Pack for the XV, XV Premium, and XV Premium (O) variants which adds features such as an air purifier, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, puddle lamps, and a JBL sound system.

Q. Which is the best among Nissan Magnite Turbo XL, Altroz XT, Tata Tiago XZ, Maruti Baleno Zeta? My priorities are engine smoothness, comfort and mileage.

This pricing will be applicable only till 31 December but along with that, this package does have some compromises too. For example, the cabin experience isn’t rich and fitment quality is of a budget grade. While it does get a turbo petrol engine, it isn’t complemented with a driving dynamics package that’s particularly exciting. Of course, Nissan’s sales and service network is also going into revival mode and its rivals have a clear upper hand here. Simply put, if you want the most premium and sophisticated pick from the segment, the Magnite probably isn’t for you. But if you want an SUV that’s spacious, practical, well loaded and comfortable to drive, all delivered at a price tag that’s serious value for money, the Magnite is certainly worth considering.   • XE was the most value for money model when it was offered at Rs. 4.99 lakh till 31st Dec. 2020. Now, as XE price stands revised at Rs. 5.49 lakh, I think XL is the most value for money model at Rs. 5.99 lakh.
  • The lunched price was 4.99/ but now it present is 5.49/ of XE variant .I think its sell go hel 40% becz who are thinking to buy this car they are already back minded. they don't pursese next time.
