The A class is not discontinued, you can find some good Mileage cars on the market, pls avoid the Diesel and look at the petrol its pretty refined matted with the 7speed dual clutch.. great on the highways returns over 12-13 kpl.. if driven well..
The new W177 A class could get launched next year.. it will be a CBU to start with post which they could do assembly for it.. currently new gen cars are only coming as CBU's
There is no update regarding the launch of its facelift
Being a German car the service intervals will be every 15 K kms or 1 year which ever is earlier... typical cost of a petrol A class which I own is about 32,000 /- for diesel it cud be slightly higher by 5-10 % or even same not sure.
I own the petrol wrt FE u will get around 8-10 KPL in city and highway i have touched 15-16 KPL... the diesel on the other side is more frugal with higher torque figures and more HP than the older engine of 107 HP to 135 HP now and better FE.. but running cost of the diesels are much higher and they need to be cranked up every day to keep them in running condition.
They are different price points.. one is a Compact SUV commuter.. dont expect much of offloading and the other one the A class is a pure low rider which handles well on corners with its sporty stance with great straight line stability.. managing it over bumps is a challenge due to its stiff setup and low ground clearance... practicality is limited in the A class but boot as big as a normal sedan its upto you to decide...
I hv GLC 220D Formatic. And I'm extremely happy with it.
All the three cars are different in their segments. Mercedes Benz E-class is one of the most famous offerings of the German car maker in the Indian market. In term of exteriors, the E-class features veryAerodynamic and contemporary styling, making it favourite among the business tycoons. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class in India is the cheapest offering and targets the customers who want to move into the luxury car segment but do not want a conventional sedan and would prefer a hatchback instead it has been the best selling car in its category. The Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class is one of the most beautiful 4-door coupes today and is targeted to the young luxury car buyer. With both petrol and diesel engines, the CLA-Class is a hand down winner. Choosing one will depend on one's requirements. Hereby we would recommend that you may please take the test drive of the cars to pick the best matching your needs and requirements.
MrRevant has all answers...I will say in another angle ..cla was an entry level sedan from merc in 2013 criticised for its lack of space ...spare in boot and unenthusiastic ride...but with new updates changed rear with decent boot ...it has a distinct coupe like look(nowadays coupe design getting all attention) it is the choice over much costlier E class and A class with unenthusiastic drive.
