About Maruti Vitara Brezza 2016-2020

The Maruti Vitara Brezza is a leading compact SUV stacking under 4-metres of length, with a huge lead over its rivals. The Brezza has got all the right ingredients on styling and this Maruti looks every bit an SUV. The interiors of the Brezza are also sensibly designed and all the controls are placed well within reach. The rear bench offers plenty of space and the boot is quite spacious too. Maruti still offers the Brezza only with the single option of a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine that puts out 90PS and 200Nm, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with an AMT option from the VDi variant onwards. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza offers incredibly high fuel efficiency figure of 24.3kmpl and the widest dealership network of Maruti Suzuki adds to the overall brand value of this compact SUV. The Vitara Brezza retails in the price range of Rs 7.24 lakh-10.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is challenged by the likes of the Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra KUV 100.

Maruti Vitara Brezza 2016-2020 Overview

Afacelifted Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza sub 4-metre SUV has been spotted ahead of its launch in early 2020. The updated sub 4-metre SUV gets a handful of styling revisions such as a twin slat chrome grille like the bigger Vitara, new headlamps (possibly LED units), a tweaked front bumper and new alloy wheels. Inside, the updated model could come with an updated infotainment system.

The facelifted Vitara Brezza is expected to be a petrol-only model as Maruti Suzuki won’t upgrade its diesel engines to meet BS6 emission norms. It could either be the 1.2-litre Dualjet unit (from the Baleno) or the 1.5-litre K15B engine (from the Ertiga). The Dualjet unit develops 90PS and 113Nm while the K15 engine puts out 105PS and 138Nm.

The Vitara Brezza facelift is expected to launch at Auto Expo 2020.

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Vitara Brezza 2016-2020

Q. Vitara brezza petrol launching date?
  • The 1.2 petrol engine which Maruti has in baleno is a misfit to brezza as it lacks power and torque which cannot be compromised in an SUV and 1.5 ltr new one just doesn't fit to its engine bay with all SHVS thing inside...1 ltr turbo is expensive and has mileage issues.....So mileage problem, under powering and pricing issues haunts Maruti tech team ...that's why the delay...may be they will find an answer compromising some power and mileage......The best alternative as of now is Venue for it offers optimum power. style and mileage.....even with a second row vent which is missing in the power champion Mahindra XUV 300......
  • The new compact SUV, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is a no-nonsense car for someone that wants to buy a reliable, stylish and yet, very well-equipped SUV with adequate performance. As of now, it is available in diesel version only and there is no official update regarding its petrol version.
  • No one has the real date for this, as No Automag has even given an approximate date for this. But expect it to be launched by April 1st 2020

Q. Which one I should buy Brezza or Venue?
  • Hyundai Venue has been offered with features like new Blue link smart from Hyundai, e-SIM that paired with the infotainment, Sunroof, multifunctional steering and OBD-based diagnostics and a nifty mobile phone application to give you access to the myriad feature. The Hyundai Venue is expected to be getting two petrol motors, a 1.0 litre 3 cylinder engine mated with 6-speed MT / 7-speed DCT and 1.2 litres, 4 cylinder engine which would be paired with 5-speed MT. The diesel variant of the car will be powered by a 1.4 litre, 4 cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed MT. The car would be offered with standard airbags for the Driver and the co-driver.The Maruti Vitara Brezza, on the other hand, is only offered with a single engine option. A 1.3-litre DDiS200 diesel engine that churns 90PS of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque. This engine is offered with a choice of a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The Vitara Brezza has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 24.3kmpl. It would be hard to give a verdict on the performance of the Hyundai Venue as the car hasn't been launched yet.
  • Venue if you are looking for better quality fit and finish and premium feel. brezza if you are not looking for comfort but hardcore driving pleasure only as brezza is quite light weight and gives kick in the pants feel when you smash the throttle.
  • Both the cars are good.In terms of diesel brezza is better choice than venue. But in petrol venue is best among all its rivals especially 1.0l turbo engine. In terms of technology too venue is best as first connected car of India. You can also wait for brezza petrol arriving soon .But venue is very good car around 10 lakh in terms of petrol , so go for it... I too own both the cars so I think it would help you.

Q. Which is better brezza or creta?
  • Thats a good question. Though CRETA looks “slightly” premium in looks slightly by mean is Slightly but overall price is not justified at all. Creta top end variant is 18.3 lakh In road Delhi, simply 6 lakh costlier then BREZZA Top end Automatic.12.3 lakh And believe me i am both Maruti and Hyundai customer, hyundai may be better in looks but under the hood maruti is much more reliable ( japanese cars any case are). Hyundai is fine but somewhere it comes with issues like leakage , part failures etc. Now coming back to comparison- Vitara Brezza is more value for money 1) JUSTIFIED cost for AMT model 2) Cabin space ( that matters the most ) is almost same in both cars. Slightly better in creta but not that much 3) AMT IS very smooth relaible and cost effective solution where as AT comes in hyundai has its own issues. 4) SAFETY- 4 star by NCAP which is remarkable 5) Services and support is very good 6) Design structure wise brezza is more upright and have excellent road view from sires back and bonet so LESS STRESS while driving. 7) REFINED and tried and tested engine witn GOOD torque. NO UNDER POWERED FEELING and i am verna driver too and did not felt like underpowered and infact found good to drive. Creta points 1) Looks more plush in terms of interior 2) few better features which may be good to have but not be necessity 3) Hyundai also has good after sales service 4) More powerful engine but Vitara brezza is also fine as torque difference is about 40NM only. 5 ) Total thumb down for pricing. SIMPLY NOT WORTH IT With this price bracket.
  • Both the cars are capable but both comes with the different budget range i.e. Brezza comes in the range of Rs. 7.52 - 10.49 lakh and Creta comes in the range of Rs. 9.44 - 15.04 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The Brezza ticks the basics of punch, practicality and peace of mind. The AMT is a brilliant addition to the Vitara Brezza; in fact, it’s so good that we’d recommend you chose the automatic over the manual. It’s actually better to drive in the city and that in our books makes up for the slight drop in efficiency and the increase in price. On the other hand, the Creta is expensive but, it feels like you’re getting your money’s worth. It’s well-built, has a comfortable ride, enough gizmos to keep you occupied and a brilliant set of engines. You’ll have trouble upgrading from this one. If you are traveling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of a diesel. With the extra Rs 1-1.50 lakh spent on a diesel purchase, you can actually drive a similar petrol car for as many as two years! So, do your math carefully. A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day. So, if you are on tight budget then you can opt for Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. If budget is not a big issue then undoubtedly you can head to Hyundai Creta. Click on the given link to compare both the cars: https://bit.ly/2OGb7wE

Q. Why tata nexon is not better than vitara brezza?
  • Tata's build quality has always been strong, we all know this, although I agree that the Brezza is better in terms of service But the question is will you take the Maruti's Brezza to the service center repeatedly because of weak build quality or skip many months without servicing of Nexon due to strong build quality of Tata.
  • All right!!Now that you want to know where Brezza scores better than Nexon, then here is my list 1. After sale service of Maruti Suzuki is an inch ahead of Tata.Hence Brezza would be a machine to be relied upon.2. Resale value of Brezza would always be better compared to Nexon and that's because of Point-1.3. Some people like the Boxy design of Brezza over the Curvy Nexon. This us purely on personal choice. When it comes to drive pleasure, Nexon diesel is far superior to Brezza. When it comes to interior quality, Nexon is better than Brezza for sure.
  • Nexon is better than Vitara Brezza ,looks, build quality, features, handling, ride quality and safety are matchless in the segment. You just sit on rear seats you will feel and like it immediately. Only thing it's not boxy instead an advanced design philosophy so some may not feel it that familiar otherwise it's car you will love once you will own it.

Q. I drive 15-20 kms daily for my office. which option would be better out of Brezza (D) and Venue (P). still diesel cars are not recommended for short journeys like in my case.
  • I would recommend you to buy Brezza, as Venue has a tall body, but sitting capacity is not good.Brezza is a complete package, a true value for money car.
  • Dont go diesel. Diesel is going to be not a favorite with the Govt or environmental organizations...I would recommend a petrol hybrid if that's in your budget
  • It not that diesel cars meant for long drives. 20 km/day also you can ride brezza. For venue we have wait for results. Swift (P) can be also considered.
