I call the car Miss Swift, she is really quick at accelerating, and great to climb up hill sections, 'Ghats' as we call them in Maharashtra. Leaves all types of cars including imported ones behind when climbing up slopes. But on our highways its best not to drive at more than 120 kmph, because of sudden appearance of hazards like cattle, jaywalkers e.t.c. Although I have driven her at 150kmph, it does feel unsafe. Braking action is good up to 100kmph. She is a driver's car, would hate to sit behind and let someone else drive her. The family loves the spacious interiors and the ride comfort.

I have an XUV500 W11 (O) variant. I'd heard from many people that this car is not good, it has monocoque does not have ladder chassis, is not for off road and what to know, but I have myself driven from Varanasi to Goa and Goa to Varanasi drove, about 4200 km and it was a very comfortable journey which also had six passengers. I also did offroading but never felt a lack of power. The only boot space is disappointing. The rest of the car has no shortage anywhere. This is my best buy SUV.

Good car, Safe on Roads, Low maintenance cost, Spares are Cheap, Interiors need to be revamped completely, New Model 2019 has better Exterior, but previous one was not bad, Dashboard needs some better color combination, Plastic quality of interiors needed to be improved, New colors should be introduced, Dual tone interiors should have options. I had driven it on Long routes, Trips from Nagpur to Goa, Hyderabad, Pune, Bidar, Satara, Jabalpur etc.

- Both cars are good enough and have their own forte in their segments. The XUV500 has always been a trailblazer of sorts, practically creating a segment for itself. If you want a 7-seaer car with better power performance, road presence and often tackle bad road conditions, you may go for Mahindra XUV 500. On the other hand, Honda’s fifth-generation City sticks to the tried-and-tested formula. If you are looking for a car to be driven around in, the City makes for a solid choice. That’s also because the ride quality is now a whole lot better, filtering out road imperfections without making a racket. It continues to be among the most expensive sedans you can buy in this segment. Even with the new generation, you’re paying for a balance of feel-good features and space. You may compare both the cars according to their variants too. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- It’s purely SUV or Sedan. Finally Depends on choices but for features do not leave the main peace on mind of driving a vehicle for long term. No petrol car is reliable then honda and Toyota in diesel. However Xuv will be occasionally used for trips which honda city can also do with peace of mind on normal terrains.Sedan is always the most comfortable even with lesser space during long trips 1000 km plus. Xuv maintenance is 2-3 times higher then Honda city and overall build quality is not value for money which starts rattling with engine, door panels, dashboard etc. Xuv 2021 might be a better product if can wait. Xuv looks bigger and bold on the road and handle more passengers Without any issues on damaged or off road where honda city will struggle to be honest.Xuv will dominate others on the road but honda city will feel fear.Xuv diesel for 10 years use if in delhi .
- XUV500 way above Honda City. It is a segment above, so there is no comparison. XUV500 is a huge car, extremely spacious. If you want features you can go for something like Creta, which is also much much better than the Honda city. It has a panaromic sunroof! Lastly, you can save some money by going for Verna which is cheaper, it's SX variant (petrol) is at around 12 lacs on road and still comes with sunroof, digital IC, wireless charger, etc. If you want diesel, Verna diesel is anyway better than the Honda City. Another good alternative can be Tata Harrier, this car is next level!!! So seriously, NOT the honda city.
- It would be unfair to give a verdict here as the resale value and life of a vehicle depends on certain factors. The resale value depends on the vehicle's physical condition, popularity of the model, kilometers driven, number of owners, etc. Whereas, the vehicle would last you many years if you take proper care and timely service the vehicle. The XUV500 is exclusively available with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which produces 155PS of power and 360Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
- It's right in the center of the vehicle, under the front bumper, around half a meter from the bumper's front edge...
- The front tow hook in XUV500 is located under the bumper.
- You should wait.
- Yes
- It's not specified clearly, it may be 5 to 7 litres...However, the best practice is to fill the tank when it goes to quarter capacity... best for fuel injection vehicles...Once the indicator start blinking, you are in danger zone. If you run out of fuel, the car onboard computer will lock itself as a safety measure against injector damage. Even if you fill her up and use the pump manually, the engine won't start until the system is unlocked, which is done by the service center guys through their computer...
- Mahindra XUV500 comes with a 70 Liters tank including the reserve and the last fuel indicator bar starts blinking when there is around 7 liters fuel left in the tank. Generally, 10-12% of the total fuel capacity is determined as the reserve capacity.
- Hyundai Creta Diesel would be the best choice as per your requirements if number of seats doesn't matter. This 1.5 litre motor makes 115PS of power, which is 13PS down on the old engine, but while driving you hardly notice this fact. From the get-go, this engine impresses in terms of refinement and smoothness. There is very little turbo lag, which means gear shifts are kept to a minimum. This makes the Creta diesel-manual a stress-free car to drive in the city. Even out on the highway, the punchy nature of this engine makes overtaking easy and thanks to the tall gearring, it cruises in a relaxed manner too. The light clutch and slick gearbox makes your life even easier. In our performance tests, the Creta diesel registered decent times. In the 0-100kmph run, it took 12.24 seconds, which is a bit longer than the old car. But thanks to the good drivability, in-gear times were actually much better, with 30-80kmph in third taking 6.85s seconds. If we talk about MG Hector Plus, it is spacious, delivers better power performance and comes in 6-seater configuration. The 170PS, 350Nm diesel is a punchy motor and feels at home both in the city and on the highway. Sound and vibration levels are kept in check and while it is not the most refined version of the Fiat-sourced engine we have driven, it won’t leave you complaining either. Overtakes in the city are handled with ease and the motor proves to be plenty tractable as well. However, the gear shifts are a bit clunky and take a conscious effort to shift. Plus, the clutch is a bit heavy and will make you regret missing leg day in bumper to bumper traffic (if such a thing exists anymore). And then there is a tendency to stall while applying the throttle after overcoming a minor undulation. If we talk about XUV500, it offers good balance of power performance and driveabilit. As far as NVH levels are concerned, they are well controlled and the engine noise is only audible in the cabin when revved beyond 2,500 rpm. However, the same cannot be said for the Bridgestone Ecopia tyres which emit a lot of rolling noise with some of it making its way inside cabin. But that still isn’t bothersome and can be washed away with the audio system. Its clutch pedal is light, its long travel range will be irksome when driving in stop-and-go traffic. There is no hint of wobble or nervousness while taking curves at speeds north of 70kmph. It’s agile for its size, but while its steering is fairly accurate, it doesn’t provide great feel. The ride on the bigger wheels felt sporty but not stiff at any point. That said, the tendency of the XUV’s back end to feel bouncy over sharp bumps still remains. You may compare all these cars accordingly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Harrier 7 seater ( safari) first option which looks bigger on road and Hector plus looks better in interiors with same performance as Harrier. No Xuv please.
- I don't know about others but don't buy XUV 500.. unreliable vehicle
- Kia Carnival and Mahindra XUV500 are two different cars and selecting one would depend on your budget, preference of the segment, usage of the vehicle, features required, etc. If you love to travel with your extended family on long road trips, then the Carnival will ensure that you can seat everyone in absolute comfort. On the other hand, if you are looking for a muscular and powerful SUV with an extra row of seats, feature rich cabin and good road presence then you may go with the XUV500. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.Read More: - Kia Carnival vs Mahindra XUV500

- Cars require special care when parked up for long periods. In order to protect your car we'd suggest you to keep certain things in mind such as using a cover for car, have the car cleaned inside-out, start up the engine every few days and leave it on for 10-15 minutes in order to preserve the battery, check other functions while starting up the car, don't leave the parking break on as the break pads may get stuck if left of a longer time period and lastly, do not let the fuel tank get empty as lack of fuel being circulated through the powertrain could cause smaller components to malfunction.

- Yes , and a very good position as well, perfect for second row people to stand
- Yes XUV500 has sunroof in variants like W9, W11, W11(optional)
- Is w10 a typo error? Because w10 was a nomenclature of the previous version, the newer one is W11 and in addition to all the features from the lower variants, the W11 variant gets brake energy regeneration system, six-way power adjustable driver seat, quilted leather upholstery, soft touch leather on dashboard and door trims, illuminated scuff plates, sporty aluminum pedals, chrome door sill cladding and chrome tailgate applique. - W10 is old facelift

- The model w6 is now discontinued you can buy either w5 or w7 and prices may vary state to state checkout at carwale.com
- Petrol vehicles are silent and comfort will less cost and low maintenance cost, where as Diesel variant is powerful and good engine performance.
- Diesel varient is better since mahindra is well known for its reliable diesel engines , it’s refined and powerful .
- I found, for heavy engines diseal is the best
- Can you please elaborate on what backwards you are referring to???the engine of any car is designed to run only in one direction of rotation and any other direction is only hypothetical, it's the gearbox which translates this into forward or backward .....
- I think it needs servicing
- Go to service center
- It will not discontinue but will have a completely new vehicle with same name ,may be at the end of 2020. better go for a new launched vehicle. xuv has very poor second sale
- You can wait Mahindra new gen xuv5oo will be launched maybe next year
- It depends on your priorities. If you want to be chauffeur driven, definitely go for innova crysta. But the price is higher compared to xuv500. If you like drive your car, go for xuv500. If you ready to spend extra 3-4 lakh, go for innova. Because you get good resale value and peace of mind from toyota.
- Definitely Innova if you consider Value for money...
- Depends on the variant you buy. Even if you buy base model, you can install it after market.
- Your choice to fit in your xuv500
- Yes
- Tata Hexa. Telling out of my experience. Owning it for a year. Wonderful vehicle
- Pl go for Compass

- 3 years and 100000 kms and extended warranty can be availed
- Sir my car music system not working
- No idea
- No yellow board
- Normally no speed limit is prescribed for nee engines like cars in earlier era.however it is good for the health of engine clutch transmission to not to use 100 percent of engine power for initial 5k km.it is my personal opinion based on my own experience.
- 2-3 years and parts are expensive. Normal speed is better for car and you
- 80km
- X XUV 500 is the best option
- Both are different categories of vehicle not a fair comparison
- XUV 500 is best
- The older models does not have voice command, not sure of the recent models.
- Yes
- Nooooo......u cn only cnct Bluetooth 👍🏻
- Wait fr smtim the new 2020 xuv is abt to launch soon so upgrade to tat....even I m waiting for tat car👍🏻
- Great.. What car are you looking to upgrade for? And any specific reason you want to upgrade?
- Power & performance wise XUV is better but with inferior parts quality & more cabin noise irritants
- Xuv500
- Xuv 500 is a SUV nd creta is Compact suv so xuv 500 is much better
- It depends on ur driving. If u r driving on hill areas then u hsve to change after 5000-6000 kms nd if u r on highways then it can go up to ,15000 to 20000
- I change it without fail by 23/25 k kms....smtimes there was no need to change but still I changed it👍🏻n wheel balancing n allianment by every 5k
- After 20-25k kms i guess. Although, it totally depends on your driving style and if you drive it more on highway or City
- I have driven more than 80 thousand KM without much fuss. It is great car. I assume 4lakh can be done easily with the engine that is fitted in the car
- My Engine got Seized after 90k kms
- Its comfortable to drive nd for passengers also.fot long drive
- Marazzo is best
- Best 7 seater car in that budget has to be XUV500. It has good features and looks premium
- W7 at of xuv 500 is best under 15 lakhs
- I have manual one
- Very good no issue
- Yes
- W11 have sunroof
- Diesel
- Petrol
- No from W9 onward sunroof will come
- No
- This is interesting...I am also thinking of upgrading the front grill of my xuv500(2013-W8) to latest grill. where can I get front grill in Chennai for this cost. Please let me know
- Anyone upgraded? Possible to share pic?
- Hi @Amit, are you done with the Bumper upgrade? can you plz share the pic?
- In my opinion technically you can do this but not advisable at all as the gears are designed with different power ratio .
- U can directly used 2nd gear
- If you understand the limitation of XUV like noisy suspension n bumpy ride, you will find it excellent like me, which encouraged me to upgrade from 2014 W6 MT to 2019 W9 AT
- X u v 500 w 8
- It's purely depends on your preference, in comparison towards boot space with 3rd row open XUV 500 have no space even to keep single box comparing to innova and hexa..
- If you have a driver, Toyota Innova. If you want to drive it yourself, Xuv500. I dont know enough about Hexa...
- Tata Hexa
- Engine is reliable, clutch is not reliable for long journey. Always keep 25000 Rs for clutch replacement. Clutch will be catastropic failure which is not acceptable. DMF is a failure and not reliable in XUV.
- Xuv500 was the top model in 2015 when I purchased my W6 variant.. All the specifications of W8 was similar to W6 but it was majorly the features that was the differentiator. W8 had features like Touchscreen, Leather seats, Alloy wheels, Indicators on OVRM, etc. compared to W6. Not sure why this has been discontinued
- Ever Car Changes its interior, exterior, modify it and relaunch, Previous versions were W4, W6, W8 and W10, Now replaced by W5, W7, W9 and W11, with Changes in Exteriors and interiors of car.
- It's possible. you will have to buy new tyre set and new alloys. the 17inch old tyres can be traded in for some money at the Tyre dealers. 18 inch alloys can be bought from Mahindra or you can even get some better looking ones from outside. Decent tyres and alloys can set you back anywhere between 70K to 90K
- Can i change the second row jQuery22407668750503236523_1603297686769 I want slider seat.pls help me
- Yes u can change after market or from company if available it may cost avg 30000 delhi ncr or negotiable just an idea i give u⁹
- You haven'e wasted your money. The engines are modified and developed to meet the new standard and norms and emission standards. It doesn't mean that the engine you have is bad
- No ur money is not wasted ur car has still much value
- No problem..I am one who bought W9 AT in May 2019..
- The new XUV500 looks compact from outside compared to the older version that used to come earlier. Xuv500 overall is very comfortable for a pack of 5.
- Auto sensing headlamps, the front grille, rear headlamps, upgraded interiors, an automatic variant
- The only comfort is tht the seats are a bit quilted more than the previous model
- Mahindra has not declared tht it is going to stop manufacturing diesel engine. FYI they has started testing the BS VI upgraded engines.
- Next year bs6 noms
- Yes
- Yes the fellow ans are right
- If u have done tym to tym seŕvice then there will be no engine problme at 5 lakh kms
- No but once u have used xuv try alturas g4I think it would also be a good option
- Have check your vehicle in company
- I owned XUV500 since 2014, never had a suspension issue, anyway the company gives 3+2 years of warranty, I don’t see there will be any issue. I use it in city driving, highway driving, and some light off-roading. On highways I’ve done up to 1200KMs in about 18-19 hours, except some breaks here and there I mostly drive non-stop, that’s how comfortable it is. Happy hunting Warm regards!
- Xuv 500 is better choice for u from.mine suģgestion xuv 500 look premium and much ground clearance once u drive xuv thn u feel how the suspension all.the rumours comes
- You should probably look at a sedan- Vento/Verna Diesel. However, if you want to stick to your choices I would recommend Creta
- Very comfartable in comparision to indian cars
- In these segment it is the best
- For 5 adults it is super comfortable and has air conditioning in all 3 rows that's a plus.
- Not every feature is a standard feature in all variants, OPT stands for Optional, could be for a technical feature, for a design feature, for mechanical or electrical feature, or for any other feature which is not standard in all variant.
- You should buy
- Hi, It mostly depends on your use! XUV 500 is full size SUV and XUV 300 is a compact sedan. If size is not an issue I would suggest you go with the 300, as it is compact, should be more fuel efficient, easy to navigate in City traffic and likewise. But if size matters, go for the 500, it's huge, very comfortable, okay with efficiency, if you drive economically on highways you'll get upto 18KMPL and in city you'll get between 14-16KMPL which I believe is a decent milage for a full sized SUV. Be happy with whatever you'll choose, I can understand it is a tough call, all the very best! Regards!
- No confusion. XUV 500 is 7 seater large size whereas XUV 300 is 5 seater smaller than 500. So you have to decide according to your family size.
- If u are trying to save money then w3Or else go to w8 has it includes many extra features than w3
- I don't think Innova crysta is better than XUV500. Innova has small cabin space compared to XUV500 and XUV is more stylish and has a lot more features loaded compared to Innova.
- Both are different segments of vehicle. XUV is a SUV nd Innova Crysta is a MUV. both have their own comfort level. It just depends on the person what he prefers.
- Who said it's best Crysta is costly Maintenance is more Milage is very poor Power is also less compared to xuv SO XUV IS THE BEST AND BEAST
- Very satisfied with xuv 500, i am using XUV 500 since 2012 and i dont have any major issues with the car, and more importantly its a value for money car.
- Satisfied up to a point that my next vehicle will again be an XUV after 5 years of using it and driving it for about 1.15L KMs
- Very much satisfied. worth the money. enjoy riding it, already done 75k in 2.5 years
- Hi there! XUV is a segment above Creta, not fair to compare between them. But if we talk about the top vatients of both, XUV is having more value for the money you'll shell out. Unmatched features (it leads the segment), Flat floors In the rear, Plus on space, Plus on storage, and decent fuel efficiency. I'm looking to change the car this year but even in the premium SUV segment, except Alturas, there is no match for it, eventually I know I'll buy this car again. It spoils you with luxury and features. Happy hunting! Regards!
- If u r a family of four n want a decent enough SUV for city and highway performance go for creta..but if u r a driving enthusiast n want the robustness of sheer torque n power , want a true SUV feel, with an added advantage of space and boldness,go for xuv..xuv s something which u LL fall in love with Everytime u hit the road..
- If you need a 5 seater then you should go with creta if you need a seven seater then you should go with xuv500
- AWD fuel consumption is more than fwd, but traction will be good in awd , if travel a lot especially in hills area you can go for awd, or else fwd is good to go
- First of all MT is fun to drive. Secondly W11(0) has an All Wheel Drive system. So you can go for the W11(0) MT variant.
- XUV is better
- No
- Sorry, but neither the W8 nor the W10 variant is available for the xuv. But between the W9 and W11 variant the difference is that the W11 gets logo projection lamps on ORVM but W9 doesn't. Otherwise all the features which are present in the top variant W11 are present in W9. Also the W9 costs less than W11.
- W10 was better, but currently the Mahindra have changed it to W11
- Luxryness feature
- In w11(o) there have diamond cut 18 inches alloy wheel available
- Only difference alloy wheel of 18 inch
- XUV 500 W10 had any 4wheel drive model
- The tata nexon is a five seater suv and xuv 500 is 7 seater. So it really depends on your choice. Moreover the xuv 500 top variant has some extra features such as sunroof. So, the xuv would be the right pick. But the choice depends.
- Better go for Creta as Indian products have serious reliability and durability issues
- It depends for on ur usage. if u need a complete family car with 7-seat options and most of the luxury features. go for XUV500. it's worth the money.
- Your basic need of 7-seater is fulfilled by only XUV500 in the selected cars. where as ur second need of 22kmpl, it's not possible in any of these options. if u want to fulfill both the basic need then I would suggest Honda BRV.
- You won't get the mileage of 22 in any of these cares. 7 seater there is only one - XUV500. If you ignore the 7-seater factor, you can choose WRV. But I would suggest to have a look at Tata Harrier and Hyundai Creta.
- Not possible
- Creta for five seater xuv for 7 seater
- XUV500 for sure. Since it has good interior and exterior. Also it has great Power, features, and more importantly 7 seater :)
- They fall in different categories of SUV's- MUV, but of these... Creta is the best followed by XUV5OO
- For offroading AT else FWD ...
- W7 comes with more features compared to W5. It has features like touchscreen, GPS, Steering mounted controls and much more. You can compare it here: https://www.zigwheels.com/compare-cars/mahindra-xuv-500-w5-vs-mahindra-xuv-500-w7
- Don't even consider w5....w7 have all essential needs
- Just that W7 has more features than that of W5
- Depends on the ride..if u r a driving enthusiast, go for manual, torque converter auto s equally good..con about manual is that gear box is notchy
- Depends which city you are in and how do you want to enjoy driving. Manual are more fun for some and vice-versa
- Manual always have better control if you are buying car upto a budget of 30Lac..
- If you want to buy the top model of creta then dont go for xuv but if you want more space in your car then you can go for xuv...features wise creta top model is best and it costs same as w7
- Xuv 500 is more spacious and vfm but its suspension is not as refined as that of creta and you feel the niggles after 3 to 4 years
- Yes it's better then creta in terms of space and ride comfortable
- Roll is almost negligible as compared to the earlier model
- 15000km or 1 year and service is approx. 14000Rs.
- Let me me use for 1 years then I will tell you
- I'm using the manual version of XUV. Driving at 100kmph on highway in average traffic conditions pushes the mileage upto 14+ and driving beyond 120+ then its 11.50
- Manual on highway will give u 15-16. but try to maintain a constant speed around 80-100kmph. variance in speed during long drives hamper ur mileage
- Automatic will have a mileage difference of about 10-15% from the manual one,
- It is Still BSIV which company is providing. BSVI will come up by 2020
- What nonsense... what do you mean mahindra brand speakers... your speakers are pathetic and i will change them the day my warranty expires. Thank you very much
- Talking of sound quality.I have both W8 and W11 but the quality isn't good enough. At low pitch it's sound is averagely good but at high pitch it's terribly bad.
- Think basic Nippon..speakers r the worst if u r a music lover..upgrade recommend
- XUV500 is much bigger as compared to other two vehicles. Have 7 seater options and also way to luxurious and excellent driving experience.
- Definitely xuv..it's value for money..a 5+2 seater..more road presence...punchy engine..
- XUV 500 much bigger, more features most comfortable nd 7-seater.
- Diesel is good in XUV 500
- Depends on your usage and what kind of driving experience you looking for
- If your goin for long term then go for petrol..
- XUV 500 is a SUV nd Innova Crysta is a MUV. both are different geners of vehicle. in my opinion don't compare it with each other. both are best in their classes.
- There is no comparison because of the price difference. XUV500 is an SUV and drive quality and features are great.
- I am Own w8 so no idea about w7
- It's the variant
- 2nd hand
- W8

- The best part about XUV 500 is the flexibility of having 7 seats. And when guests come calling, which happens often in Indian families. The 7 seats come in handy. When you don't need extra seats, you can fold them down neatly. This gives you massive boot space for a road trip.
- Xuv500 any day is a very good car for family of 5-6. It is quite comfortable and delivers great performance. The build quality is great and thus safety is supreme. Thanks

- Xuv 5oo...as the cost factor plays it all.... compass needs to be priced more aggressively to compete this beast..trailhawk edition is good and worth comparison
- This is a misconception , I own an etios liva diesel and XUV , both same age and run almost same , and servicing and spares of XUV 500 is often 20-30% cheaper than Toyota , clearly it's a better vehicle to own.
- It's not that expensive as people say. but then again y comparing with Innova nd Ertiga, all are in different class. Innova nd Ertiga won't give the features that XUV provides.
- Maintainence car to sabhi me hai but mahindra cost effective hai. Easy to maintain hai, spare parts easily available everywhere. So xuv is better than all this.
- No only normal maintenance is required
- I m using the vehicle its not expensive. Also it depends how you maintain the vehicle and how many users drive the car.
- Yes it's high maintenance

- Xuv 500 w11 is 7 seater and harrier xz is 5 seater is up to you which 1 to prefer according to your use but if you will see features xuv 500 is feature loaded suv and features are practical...
- Both are very good machines. XUV makes you more attractive and Tata'harrier is a also good car but issues is more than Maintain compare the XUV 500..I l am suggest you are pick the XUV 500...
- Many variants are available..just google it..u will get all the answers
- Top end is W11 O but road price varies as per which city ur in.
- W11 top end model
- Off course xuv it's big n more comfortable with good mileage n service cost is very low
- No comparison between a hatchback type Ecosport and a well grown XUV 500 a true SUV
- For me its my XUV always..
- Hi, No fixed Parameters to judge or to limit the life of any engine, it depends on a lot of factors. My XUV is touching 1.15L KMs, it is 5 years old but still performs like new, I used it for both, city driving and highways, it has never let me down so far. I have done non-stop solo trips in extremely rainy conditions, in extreme summers, and in extreme wintery condition as well, all such trips I'm talking are between 800 to 1200 KMs. Never a problem, ever! If you'll respect it, it will respect you back, if you'll abuse it, well, it will still reciprocate! With my engine, I'm sure I'm not gonna have any major issues in the engine before 5L KMs. Regards!
- When to change ,cluch plate and timing belt,i have 2012 model 95000 driven but change only beack pads ,and car is running still now like new car, goning to update arc suspension as many sugest it will absorb all body rollnand bumpy ride, pls guid is it good ir i go for regular company suspension..Thanks
- Well, I had bought xuv 500 in sep 2013, and have driven it for 70,000 KM's. But mine was a bad experience. The car's body is badly corroded in multiple places and rain water is leaking through the roof!!. Despite of taking good care of the car over these 6 years , the condition is badly deteriorated. This is for sure that Mahindra uses cheap quality door making their cars and any investment ( I had paid 18 lacs ,on road price then) made would go down the drain. Would never buy a Mahindra car ever again!!
- When it comes to XUV 500 petrol, performances are not equal as you compare to other vehicles, well it consumes more petrol than the others. It all depends on how you drive. THE FACT IS IT CONSUMES A BIT MORE FUEL THEN THE OTHER SUV VEHICLES. In traffic areas it give the maximum mileage of 13 approx not more than that and in LONG DRIVES ON HIGHWAYS you get 16 km approx
- Not great, power comes in a lump which gets over in a bite
- I am using the Diesel version. It is little laggy on the Automatic Varient on low speeds. But, can achieve good top speeds for sure.
- I did owe a xuv and i had sold it in great price. More than 50% I got back after using it for more than 4yrs.
- Scorpio i think has good resale value and it depends on the use and maintainance.
- XUV 500 as it is more performance oriented.
- Wonderful vehicle .....mileage is around 10-11kms per litre of Diesel in city and on highway it fetches around 13...value for money with all necessary features
- Awsssm no doubt
- Why have an SUV (XUV) if u like automatic! u kill the fun!
- XuV 500 any day! I am an owner since the last 6 years, the SUV has done close to 80K KMS and still rules the road. The performance, maintainance and road presence is unmatched. Manindra is more reliable vs. Skoda . Resale value of XUV is better than Rapid. Plus you get an SUV vs a Sedan.
- Thank you Mr Devendar, I was little worried that some were saying that XUV 500 has gear box complaints and early suspension problems. What do you say as I’m planing for a automatic transmission one.
- XUV500 will be best for you if you are looking for a very built car. It cruises at good speeds has great comfort and pretty safe. Also, you should not be comparing an SUV with a Sedan
- Good performance ,10-12kmph , maintenance is reasonable , overall i can say full value for money spent as i own it for six years
- Performance is great. Average in City is Appx. 12kmpl and Maintenance will be Appx. Rs. 10 thousand per year
- Performance is best ...very less maintenance and a mileage of 12-13 in city and 15-17 on highway
- It has a six speed manual transmission and a six speed automatic transmission both petrol and diesel in a 2.2litre mHawk engine
- It comes with Manual as well as Auto transmission
- Mannual
- Innova ground clearance is 174 mm, XUV ground clearance is 160 mm , and more over if you are going to utilise the 3rd row seats in that case innova would be better even with luggage space , XUV doesn't have luggage space if 3rd row is utilised. but in aspect of driving comfort XUV is better than innova.
- I would suggest going for Mahindra XUv500 because it has great performance and the car works pretty good with full load
- Xuv is better choice..
- Yes, Xuv500 is better than Innova because of its features and designing. The car is quite comfortable on long routes and has great performance
- If you want for driving pleasure....definitely XUV is far far better
- Never. Innova is always the best so far
- Metal body..........Fiber is only at front fender
- Metal and plastic
- Fiber.
- They are at two different price points and not comparable in my view. Duster tops at 15 odd lacs and XUV500 goes up to 21! Duster is more rugged but underpowered in my view. The new XUV 500 is powerful but is delicate around rough terrain, its more a big car than an SUV. XUV is definitely more fun to drive, more feature loaded, much better road presence and more space for sure. But also almost 5 lacs more at every variant and not as much of a resale value post 3-5 years of ownership so if you have the money to burn get it. If you are more price conscious.. go for the Duster.
- Now a days new model of xuv500 is good ,xuv has long list of features so u wont miss out in any of the features,,,but if u look for prices ,,then it has around 5lac difference, .Duster is a great car. Starting at 10lac,,nice to drive big wheels,, sold in many big countries snd good customers, numbers,.if u dont have budget problem go for xuv w16 u get all the features,
- Xuv is 7 seater and Duster is 5 seater. Xuv is 2100cc and Duster is 1500cc. So, both the cars are very different and there is no comparison between the two
- You shall not consider Innova Crysta for sure. XUV and Hexa both have a decent suspension and good ground clearance. If you have to choose between these 2 cars then XUV is a better buy.
- Xiv is not compatible with off-road and hexa is a beast In that
- XUV....driven all the three for Leh and found that XUV is far far better
- I say it's not. Because it's a big car and not for just 20km of daily running. I mean its average kmpl in city traffic like mumbai is 11-14kmpl and highway is max 18 kmpl I get. .It's better to buy small cars which have more powerful engines with equally worth money you will invest in xuv. Afterall it's all your personal opinion at the end.
- There shall not be any problem if you drive the car less. Just keep the servicing cycle in check and there shall not be any hiccups. Thanks
- Thanks for your prompt reply
- Thanks 4K_ I really appreciate that comparison. However, can you pls advice as the feature that gonna make it a must have SUV while keeping in mind with BREEZA,HONDA CR-V??
- You cannot really compare the two cars.Xuv 500 comes with 2100 cc engine and is more expensive car than the Xuv 300 (XUV 300 is 11 lakhs and XUV 500 is 16 lakhs)
- Price Tag alone.
- According to me xuv 500AWD O AT because the performance better than Innova Crysta and Mahindra all spare part are not expansive
- IF you want performance, go for Crysta.
- Innova crysta is better option.
- Present day cars are pretty good and it does not matter at all if your running hrs are less. First 3000 kms are for "running in" after that engine performance is best.
- If you drive 3-4 times a week then there should not be any problem with the car.
- No. It won't affect
- You can't get so many features and safety in this range, You have to take care of it, You have to drive like a normal car, if you take care of it, it will be good, proper maintenance is needed, that's all. Mileage will be 11-12, this is a big issue.
- Pl do not buy it, certainly no value for money
- The only issue i am facing is the break screetching sound. Else, everything is great
- Please do not buy any Mahindra / Tata vehicles as they have serious reliability and durability issues and not worth the price, please opt for Creta or Duster.
- XUV500 is a comfortable and very good car for family and on long routes. Xuv500 has a bigger engine and better interiors thus I would suggest Xuv500 over Marazzo
- For driving and style xuv 500 and for comfort marazzo
- Yes, there is a 4x4 variant available in Xuv500. 2 variants that has it: W11 Option AWD and W11 Option AT AWD
- Only w11 optional is 4x4
- In city driving conditions mileage is not more than 9..as per my experience..highway the mileage is about 14. It is Rough and tough Suv ...if you are happy with Scorpio this is even better ..but lacks finnese compared to other SUV s...again you cannot complain as the price is considerably low
- On highway it gave the mileage of 15-17.5 ...in city range from 11-13. average service cost 9000.....Rating-Best ...Better to go for W9
- Overall rating is between 4.3 to 4.5
- Yes it's a very good engine but there is a bit power lag as compared to diesel engine but it is common in all types of cars it's a quite refined engine. But you have to cry a bit with the milage.
- If running is low u should go for petrol
- Not sure, if you can do that. Since it is designed and built like that. Although there might be some custom car architects who can get this replaced
- Yes now in market android sc4een of 13Inch are avilable for this purpose
- If driven under 2,000 RPMs at 80-90 KMPH; I get anything between 13-14 KMPL. Going above 100 and RPMs going towards 2500-3000 RPM range; mileage drops to 11. Mine is a 6.5 years old XUV and has been driven to almost a lakh KMS
- 17
- W11 has option of AWD or FWD...
- Yes w5,7,9 are FWD
- No
- XUV500 W9 has more features than scorpio S11 but scorpio is better in offroading than xuv500 but still xuv500 has hill decent control, Anti lock bracking system, sunroof, cornering lights, rear fog lamps, engine start stop button, automatic rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, etc
- I have XUV w9 model, if u are planning to between scorpio and xuv, XUV is best option with features, on road presentation, style. Scorpio is for local type neta....XUV is iconic....
- Kuch bhi bakwaaaaas..scorpio is the undisputed KING
- 1-)SPECIFICATIONS_:: XUV500 has so many features that hexa doesn't have automatic rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, sunroof, 7 inch led touchscreen, cornering lights, room light, etc. But it's sound quality is not so good.Hexa lacks so many features than Xuv500 but its sound quality is better as it has JBL sound system, and so many other features.2-)RIDE QUALITY_::No doubt hexa's ride quality is better than XUV500 as xuv500's suspensions are stiff and we can feel the potholes there are some rattling noices in the car. Hexa's ride quality is better potholes cant be felt inside the car it's so smooth.3-)RESALE VALUE_::I have no idea of resale value but I have heard that Tata's resale value is more than mahindra.4-)THE CITY AND OFFROAD TRAVELLING-)Both the cars are not made for off-road purposes but small things can be done as they have good ground clearance XUV500 also have 4wheel drive. XUV500 is a bulgy vehicle so you might have some problem in tight spaces but other than that it's nice and there is no such problem. Hexa also feels nice to drive in cities but if there would some more features it would have been better.According to me XUV500 is the best value for money pack because it has more features than hexa at a low price it's power is more it's on road presence is very nice.
- Hi, Both XUV500 and Tata Hexa are good cars. Answering to your queries 1) Both the cars have similar specifications and make a good buy for specs and features they have. Although, Xuv score a touch better in terms of power and Torque 2) Ride quality is awesome for Xuv500, not sure about Hexa 3) Mahindra and Tata both doesn't have great resale value but if you drive the car for 5 years or so you shall be able to sell it at a decent price later 4) Xuv500 is certainly a value for money car. Although, Xuv500 will be a better car if you take this on long drives. Thanks
- Thanks a lot for your reply Mr. Kalra.
- It totally depends on the variant you are taking. There are leather seats, colored touchscreen, lavish dash in the top variant. Although, the middle and lower variant interiors are also not that bad.
- Third class
- Marvelous
- Yes. Here are the details of in-car entertainment available in W7: 18cm (7") color touchscreen infotainment display with GPS, USB (audio/video), Bluetooth audio, handsfree call, iPod connectivity & picture viewer, configurable wallpaper, Tweeters on Dashboard, DIS in-built in infotainment system, E-Manual
- Yes it does i checked as i own a xuv500 w11(o)
- It is useless
- When u have bought W7,actually m planning to buy it in Nov or Dec2018...what is your mileage for W7,, your Maintenance Cost ?plz give Overall rating out of 10 ?Amit .
- What is main difference W11 AT optional and W11 AT optional AWD... Fuel pe koi fark padega, ya fir maintenance cost per.. Thoda confuse hu AWD lu ya nahi
- Gofor W11 model for features you get are Pwer adjustable seats,Sporty padels, Bonnet with hydraulic Assist, Puddle lamps, side curtain airbags.
- Sunroof on Cars...Today sunroof is attached to many top of the range models in India and advertisements specifically point this out as a premium feature...Well, my experience...I had used three makes of SUVs with sunroof - namely Landrover Freelander, GMC Envoy and Nissan Armada... in a country with climatic condition of extreme heat and dust, high humidity, cold and some rain... over a period of 12 years...I found sunroof utterly useless. Can't keep it open because of high wind noise above 40kmph approx... one of the cars the Freelander, due to lack of moment of the sunroof, the surrounding rail got rusted and water leaked in.The only slight advantage I found was that during extreme winter, keeping the shade of the sunroof open lets in sunlight which is enjoyable, but, the same is easily compensated by the heater in the car air conditioning...I wouldn't therefore never again waste money on sunroof...
- Just another perspective. most of the features of W9 can be installed in W7 by asking the service Center guys to install those as additional accessories or as spare parts and it would be well under 2 L difference. The only option that you are unlikely to get is the Sunroof. I feel that it's not important enough here in India. So it's your choice on how you want to spend your money. Looks can be made to match with that of W11 as well by buying parts from M2All.
- See if you are addicted to sunroof then you can buy W9 but if you are okay without it then W7 is great and there is no such issue with normal times but with allow wheels it looks great. If you don't want sunroof then buy W9 and there is no such difference in between these two models
- Sunroof is available in W and W11 variant depending on the features you are looking for.
- In Xuv500 the sunroof starts coming from W9 variant
- Monocoque is the term used to indicate when the body of the vehicle is designed and built to support the weight of the vehicle and perform any other function of a chassis. This is achieved by strengthening the floor of the vehicle, the pillars and using bracing along various parts of the body. Monocoque SUVs are significantly lighter and thus, all other things being equal, offer better performance & fuel efficiency. They also have superior ride comfort and road dynamics. Monocoque SUVs are safer because of more effective crumple zones (though there are always exceptions to the rule). The chassis arrangement in XUV 500 is very well tuned to keep the ride smoother. In addition to this, the powerful construct and wide grounding of the vehicle also boosts stability during the ride.
- Far beeter than other car in this segment
- 7 people
- 5 Adults and 2 kids for a smaller journey. For long route, 4-5 Adults with luggage
- XUV is a full fledge 7 seater
- Tucson will be the wise choice
- Go for xuv it is best car with all feautures

G AT in Petrol. It is available in these variants in Diesel – W5, W7, W9, W11 and G AT in Petrol.
- I own the car from past 3.5years and driven for more than 70k kms. The ride quality is very good and even after 3 years I am happy with the car"s overall build and ride quality. Although the shocker and suspension is a little lite, that should not be a problem if you are not looking to use the car for the off-roading purpose. 2nd row is pretty comfortable for an average sized 3 adults. I get a mileage of 12kmpl in City and 13.5+kmpl on highways.
- Very good family car, also having good ground clearance due that fit for Indian roads
- Xuv500
- Xuv500 is any day better than Safari. Xuv is more comfortable and better looking
- Xuv W11
- May be after market
- W9 me 18 inch ka alloy wheel nahi lag sakata
- No only 17inch
- XUV500 Ranges from ₹ 12.56 to ₹ 19.26 lakhs Ex-showroom Delhi. However it depends which features you desire for with the XUV500, the W7 is very reasonable & feature rich as well & is around 17 lakhs, However all the variants are well equipped & value for money.
- Hector
- W9
- Dear Narayan I am sure you have heard about Armada or Marshal SUV's from Mahindra & which are still running on our Indian roads cause of its build to last quality. Hence be rest assured as the Marazzo get standard ABS & EBD from base variant itself. Also the Marazzo gets all 4-wheel disc brakes to enhance the braking. We at Mahindra are in this industry since 1948.The 3 customer benefits it aims to provide are - Convenience, Transparency and Personalization.
- Sorry, I do not agree with your view. I am having a xuv 500 for more than two years and have driven 47K . All the brakes are ventilated disc supported with ABS . It's pickup and braking both are very nice.
- Sorry dear XUV is the best in its class
- Hi, It totally depends on your needs. The base variant has very less features available and might not be a good buy. I suggest you raise your budget and go for an upper version
- No
- It will cost you around Rs.12-15k
- 25 to 30k
- Maintenance is not that huge if you have the warranty in place. Also, it totally depends on your drive style and usage that will define the maintenance cost. If you are using the car for more than 20k kms per year the service cost will be around 15k-17k for 2 services(done every 6 months). Thanks
- It's been 4 years since I am driving XUV now, maintenance as such is not an issue wid the vehicle, I agree with Nikhil jis point that it also depends how are you driving your vehicle, single hand drive is always a pleasure in XUV 500
- Xuv 500 is a standard 7 seater car
- Yes it is a 7 seater car
- Yes
- Hi, yes the car is available in White colour. Please visit the dealer near you, he will help you out with the same. Thanks
- Out of market go with w11
- Yes it has monocoque chassis
- Hi, yes this car has chassis. Both front and rear. Thanks
- No
- It is better to go in for the W7 or W9 model as W 11 has only got sunroof which has got no use.
- This is a family car. Very good for long drives. Very spacious. It has great performance on highways.
- Hi, I own the car and it is very comfortable for the family and for long routes. Thanks
- It depends on your usage. Ideally, the car should be serviced every 6 months if your usage is moderate to extensive with a periodicity of approx. 10k kms every service
- 10000 km Gulf oil shoul be used
- Hi, yes the car is available in Black color. Please visit the dealer near you, he will help you out with the same. Thanks
- Exceent colour of xuv is black
- There is no W12 Model as such.W4-6-8-10 series (even numbers) was for earlier model of XUV 5OO (past years), and after new Model launch in 2018 (Plush) it is named with W5-7-9-11 just to differentiate the new series/models from the past.W11 is top end Model (as earlier was W10).AT added to it means Automatic Transmission.MT generally indicates manual transmission.AWD means All Wheel Drive (4WD).
- IT is still not confirmed.
- Once get launch you will get the price
- Depends on your requirement .. in terms of off road capability and raw power the dmax will blow xuv away !! you are comparing hard core offroader dmax with soft roader xuv. See your requirement. A car is good or bad according to your requirement
- Xuv500
- Pl go for Creta or Hector based on your budget, do not waste it on Tata / Mahindra
- Hello brother navneet its good wehicle buy w10 with all features
- Good car
- They both are in entirely different price bands. And hence no comparisons.. eventhen xuv catches up with its agile performance and torquey engine..and the feature list ofcourse...Still the size matters..full grown suv the fortuner is..and the best offroader also... ya xuv can do offroading well but never like a fortuner..but there u consider the price band..Both are excellent suvs.. if u got to spend more and more into offroading and a full size vehicle go for fortuner..if u hv some budget concern but still u wanna do all these with not a full size but still a huge suv, go for xuv
- XUV500 is more value for money. Fortuner is a good car, but it is also very expensive, if you can afford it you can go for it. But XUV500 will also give you good space, comfort and performance at a much lesser price. To be honest you won't regret buying any. It depends on the budget.
- The XUV5OO is a full-fledged 7 seater SUV that has been a trendsetter ever since its launch in 2011 & is one of India’s most awarded SUVs. It is packed with hi-tech features that are not available in vehicles even double its price. However, the Toyota Fortuner belong to different segment and it wouldn't be a fair match for comparison with the Plush New XUV5OO.
- Mahindra XUV is a great car to drive and own. Overall comfort and performance of the car is pretty great and would recommend this.
- Sure go with xuv500
- Petrol W9
- 14000Rs/Year for 15000km. clutch needs replacement at every 40000km approx is very disappointing . Approx 25000 rs.
- Hi, It totally depends on your usage. For a usage of more than 20-25k kms per year then you have to get your car serviced every 4 months and it might cost you an average of 10-12k per service. Thanks
- You see maintenance cost ,it depends upon how you handle it, in my case it was 50 thousand avg yearly expence
- The car is comparatively stable. It's just on the higher speeds that you feel a little discomfort in changing the path since it feels that it might topple. Else, the body weight ratio is balanced.
- Roll is almost negligible as compared to the earlier model
- Nothing
- Sir when we look at the vehicle and the road the opposite appears to be true scorpio maximum creta in between and XUV the least . Why is this ? Is it an illusion or ground clearance definition is different for all ? Please be kind enough to reply . I am a farmer and need some suv /xuv not very expensive but good or best ground clearance . Thank you.
- Scorpio has the most ground clearance,XUV500 has a little bit less ground clearance than scorpio,Creta has less than Xuv500
- It is 200 mm for XUV500 and Creta has 190mm compared to Scorpio which is 180mm
- ABS, 2 Airbags are standard in all variants. AND I guess AWD option will come from w10 variants.
- W11
- ABS is in every varient but Auto transmission is in W 11
- Can i change the second row jQuery22408265826904859579_1603297592984 I want slider seat.pls help me
- It has a reclining seat
- Hi, That's the question I would love to ask the manufacturer. :) Although, the seat is meant for children
- There are some hiccups with the front shockers. But, nothing to worry about. Since manufacture knows about this issue and this will be changed for free from the authorized dealership if you face any issue in the warranty period. Thanks
- Which is better automatic or manual transmission for long term usage
- Best
- 200mm
- Unladen: 200mm
- I own the old W6 model and was very happy with the overall configuration. The choice of Variant is as per your necessities since that may vary from the user to user. Thanks
- Xuv500 w11
- W7
- In my opinion; Creta is a better tuned and hassle free machine. XUV comes with all gizmos but still Creta is (A) easier to drive, (B) ride quality is better & (C) with the latest revamp Creta has added all the missing features like sunroof. 6 years back when i bought XUV; it was the best Value for money options in its segment. I don't think the same stands true now. Creta would be my suggestion.
- Xuv500 is a 7 seater compared to Creta which is a 5 seater car. Xuv has a bigger engine compared to Creta thus XUV500 has higher power. Comfort wise XUV is much better. Thanks
- I can't say anything about Creta. But, Xuv500 is a great car to own. With almost everything you require from an SUV is offered in this car. Thanks
- Ashu i strongly recommend you not to go with petrol variant go with diesel one, it has awesome pickup as compared to petrol. In diesel go for W8 is your budget is tight , if budget is not an issue go with top end.
- No
- No
- I own W6 variant and its pretty good. I love XUV as a car overall anyways, Big fan
- Yes it's good
- Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra XUV500 ex-showroom price starts at Rs 10.0 Lakh for S3 (Diesel) and Rs 12.57 Lakh for W5 (Diesel). ... As far as mileage is concerned, the Scorpio has a mileage of 16.36 kmpl (Diesel top model) and the XUV500 has a mileage of 14.0 kmpl (Diesel top model). Scorpio is solid buld at affordable price . It has an option of 140 BHP. Wheras XUV500 is more of luxurious and stlyish. XUV is has caugh more attention from people who drive sedans. Both the vehicle has got thier own followers.
- According to me XUV500 because its a great car there is no such issue. Scorpio has less space than XUV500 and Scorpio's suspensions are more stiffer than XUV500. Xuv500 is a family car it's not made for hard offroading but if you want a offroader than you can have Scorpio
- Scorpio is a more rugged suv of the two. it has a body on frame chasis and is very reliable off the road scenes. It is a rear wheel driven car. XUV 500 on the other hand is an urban suv and is has a monocoque chasis. it is also front wheel driven car and is more premium and better in terms of ergonomics, comfort and safety. choice is for you to make between ruggedness and comfort.
- The steering is a light at high speeds so you feel a little less confident. Last row obviously gets bumpy.. but other than the Innova the last row is bumpy in all 3 row sub 25 lacs vehicles. The second row AC is not as powerful and not controllable so the seats get un comfy over long drives. Also, under thigh support could have been better, tall people might find it off.. up to 5’9” it shouldn’t be an issue. The suspension is light although Mahindra have done a great job of reducing the roll, but I think it can be reduced a lil further. Its a heavy vehicle but it drives like a nimble hatchback! Ya, its weird and I like that about it, but that’s because i don’t have a lot of highway drives. I’m mostly city. Nothing better than the Innova, feels more grounded and safer and drives like a dream at high speeds. Third row is great for pets, children and young adults around 5’ tall. Sitting is a little low but manageable.
- Performance is superb..its super stable at high speeds..planted feel u will get..and pushing down on throttle will make the cheetah roar and fly...Ride quality is v good...being a monocoque suv, body roll is well contained.(even though there is noticea le bodyroll, but still for an suv of this size its nothing when compared to all other big suvs out there)..but second row is a little bouncy when compared to crysta(even though its an mpv and doesnt stand a comparison between the two)..third tow is good, but is meant for short adults or kids only..
- Second Row is comfortable, third row is better than its countrerparts, Stable even at 180 KMPH, Braking and control over vehicle is excellent. It never exceeds 180 KMPH. Sudden braking is good. Biggest problem in second row is that, you can't move forward the seats, they are fixed, so the leg room is less for 3rd row.
- Why do you want to sell it just because water pump is not working ? BTW, you would have paid a hefty price to buy it right ? You can have it repaired and use it further.....On the maintenance part, please check from the seller as to when the Brake shoe for all wheels, tyres for all wheels were replaced, get the service history from Mahindra showroom and make an assessment on what could be your maintenance cost going forward. Generally Brake-shoe replacement is for every 35k kms, Tyres for every 60K kms and so on...
- Hi, I would suggest since the car is still in the warranty period thus there might be some issues where the service center will get these issues resolved. Also, if these issues arise in another 6 months again you should better look to sell the car. Since this has been driven for too many kms. Thanks
- Its great for front seating passengers and last seat passengers. However, for middle row its just ok.
- XUV has a pretty good AC. I have not faced any major issue with the car AC even at 40 degree heat.
- AC is very powerful in xuv500. You can face many problems with this car but not with the AC.
- Yes..Its the start stop technology
- Yes
- Yes
- Yes, please go for the same.. This will help you get rid of all the fuss that might occur after 3 years. The extended warranty is for 2 years. So, your car will be protected for total 5 years.
- Extending the warranty has its own benefits and if you plan to keep your XUV5OO for a longer period of time, we suggest you go for the extended warranty.
- Yes you must have extended warranty, if you are planning to keep your car with you for a longer period of time.
- I BELIEVE YES
- No
- Yes
- Ride on XUV is smooth. Its bumpy for rear seat passengers as its a monocoque body.
- No ride is smooth and comfortable. No issue of torq.
- As a car, the Crysta is way better in terms of drive quality, power, space and finishing. But it comes at a almost 3-5 lac dearer price tag. Crysta will also get you better second hand price post 3-5 years of ownership.... BUT.... nothing like the road presence of an XUV500. I have been following the car since its launch in 2012 but only now I feel like Mahindra got its drive quality right. XUV500 is super loaded in terms of features and cost a whole 3-5 lacs less at comparable models.. how I decided between the two was... when i get off the vehicle and hand the key to the valet guy.. the valet should love taking care of my beautiful car.. and you can make an Innova as premium as you want, the valet will always drive it like a van!
- Xuv500 bro its features and safety and its looks bro i had a accident with my xuv a innova came at 40 to 50 kmph and crashed its front end into xuv500 backend and the xuv had minemal damage innova had some major damage front end was gone radiator was leaking and bumper and headlight was like gone only and the xuv also had a shelid behind but it directly at the bumper it had some scratches and one of the number plate lights fell but much part hit on the bumper and trunk
- First of all thats a wrong conparison. First you should decide on, whether you want a mpv or suv. Crysta is an mpv and xuv is suv. Capabilities are totally different. Regarding performance, offroading and anywhere go xuv leads. Being a monocoque it offers a decent ride quality also. But second row ride is better with crysta than xuv. Crysta is a for overall comfort(all rows). In terms of safety, both are almost equal, but xuv is more tough and stable on road and offroad.. Mileage also, xuv leads by some 2kmpl or so. Engine life, both are heavy duty engines. Both have a similar maintenance cost too..Now, regarding resale value, crysta has got more resale value than xuv, thanks to toyota brand name.
- Hi, XUV500 comes with the 2.2L engine and it will be impossible to get a good mileage from that big engine. The max mileage you can manage from this car will 13kmpl(City + Highway drive type). The car is pretty good and works like a charm. I own this car from past 3.5years(driven more than 65,000 kms) and have not faced any major issues till now. Thanks
- Dependable and reliable, but not fuel efficient as it gives 12 kmpl. What more can u expect from a 2.2 ltr engine car ?
- Thanks for the valuable comments
- I had a similar clutch problem at 25000km . Had to spend a bomb This is my fifth car and never ever had any problems in previous makes of cars !!!Now at 65000 km again that problem has occured !!!They will try to convince me that I don't know how to drive after 30 years of Driving numerous brands....but This will definitely be my last Mahindra car for ever...that I am sure...
- I also had similar problem clutch plate burnt within 1700km brand new vehicle.. I have been driving other car for last 25 yrs never even changed any clutch plate in any of my 3 cars and XUV 500 W11(o) its given way within 20 days of purchase.. poor quality control...Must go for any Japanese cars they have good quality control...
- I have XUV 500 W4. Within 5 years, I have had the clutch problem twice. The last one came yesterday and I had to get the car lifted by crane. I was with family and was a horrible experience. If after paying so much they can't fix a simple issue, I would say XUV is not worth buying. It's a complete failure !!
- Tell me any other car which is even comparable in features, looks and performance at this price.
- Yes, very much worth the price in comparison to its competitors
- Yes, every model of xuv500 is worth of its price.
- Guys, please dont do such things on vehicles...its not possible to change..and even if u want to do, do it as a project on scrap vehicle.
- No, you can't change the 4x2 vehicle in 4x4
- No you can’t.
- Actually my was xuv500 w11 opt automatic.and I got mileage up to 9.5 km/ltr in the city.
- New XUV manual might give up to 11 kmpl, Automatic up to 9 kmpl
- I get around 13 Km/lit,, but i drive in WA
- Yes it is. Since it looks more of an urban class suv so people might doubt its capabilities. Believe me, take the beast for offroad and it wont disappoint you at all. Wooping 155bhp with massive 360Nm torque won’t disappoint you ever. Preferably take the AWD version for hard offroading otherwise for mild or low offroading all version are a great option!
- It is called Family SUV, not for off-roading, but like other cars minor off road drives are possible, the vehicle is heavy, the Shock absorbers will bend if the car is tilted on one side for more time and even you cant go on steep down roads, it damages your Shock absorbers, SUV for name sake, not for off roading due to shock absorbers/ struts.
- It should have been but due to very third class quality of seat anchorages, door locks and dashboard fitments, it has noise and vibrations even on highway.
- Hi, It depends on your needs what car type you need and how much money you can spend. There are multiple car types that come under Mahindra's umbrella-like XUV500, KUV100, TUV, Scorpio, Thar, etc.. All of them have their own set of positives and negatives. You can see the all the Mahindra models here: https://www.zigwheels.com/newcars/Mahindra
