- Both MG Astor and Kia Seltos are considerable SUVs. Morris Garages might be late to the compact SUV party with the Astor. However, MG has given its segment-first features like AI tech and autonomous driving features to ensure the Astor stands out from the crowd. Then there’s the interior quality, which is easily one of the best in its segment. The Seltos, on the other hand, promises to be a combination of premium quality, stylish looks, and a plethora of engine-transmission options with a sprinkle of premium appeal. And more than anything its pricing makes it one of the hottest picks in the segment. The Astor’s biggest trump card, though, is the interior quality. In fact, MG has done such a good job that it might just set a new segment benchmark. Also, the ADAS system proved to be well-calibrated and promises to make your everyday drive much safer and convenient. For a better understanding of compatibility, performance and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details. - No Idea.
- Selecting between the Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki XL6 would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, features required, drivability, etc. Maruti has done enough with the XL6 to distinguish it from the Ertiga but a few more wow features and a better safety package would have made it an irresistible package. As it stands it's a good option for a large family looking for one car that could do it all. Maruti XL6 Zeta is powered by a 1462 cc engine which is available with a Manual transmission. The 1462 cc engine puts out 103.2bhp@6000rpm of power and 138nm@4400rpm of torque. It returns a certified mileage of 19.01 kmpl. Zeta variant features Touch Screen, Engine Start Stop Button, Alloy Wheels, etc. On the other hand, the Seltos impressed us So much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. There are even choices galore in terms of variants, trim, and equipment levels. And more than anything its pricing makes it one of the hottest picks in the segment. Kia Seltos HTE G is powered by a 1497 cc engine which is available with a Manual transmission. The 1497 cc engine puts out 113.42bhp@6300rpm of power and 144nm@4500rpm of torque. It returns a certified mileage of 16.8 kmpl. - My car engine just stop while I was driving on Sports mode in GTX automatic version. Luckily due to traffic congestion, I was saved from getting hit from behind since I was in 3rd lane..
- Same issue i have faced in last 2 days in Seltos HTX petrol
- Selecting between the Kia Seltos and Skoda Rapid would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, features required, drivability, etc. The Rapid is a nice handling car with lower variants priced quite attractively and a long warranty. A good option for those living in tier 1 cities and have access to Skoda service. On the other hand, the Seltos would be a good pick if you are looking for a feature-rich SUV with good road presence and multiple powertrain options to choose from. The Seltos have a great mix of style, tech, quality and comfort. When you add the various engine and gearbox options, the trim levels, plus the variants, there is a Kia Seltos for everyone. In terms of shortcomings, the rear seat could have done with a bit more support and the petrol automatic could have been a bit smoother, but other than that the Seltos is hard to fault. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.\Read More: - Kia Seltos vs Skoda Rapid

If your car is not under warrenty you can service it where ever you want.
- The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine in Sonet comes mated to the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The engine delivers a claimed mileage of 18.3kmpl combined with the DCT. Moreover, the DCT would not poise any heating issues if maintained properly. This type of automatic transmission is purely a performance-oriented transmission that also delivers good fuel efficiency but comes at a penalty of higher manufacturing cost. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

- Yes, the Seltos is worth buying. It offers a lot of first-in-segment features, a plethora of engine transmission options, premium interiors, and that too at very competitive pricing. The Seltos impressed us so much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. If you want a comfortable car for your family with great interior quality, ride quality, and a good feature list at a price, with better fuel efficiency, you may go for Kia Seltos. It comes with three engine options: 1.5-litre petrol (115PS/144Nm), 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol (140PS/242Nm), and 1.5-litre diesel (115PS/250Nm). - Selecting between the Kia Seltos and Kia Sonet would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, features required, etc. If you are looking for a diesel SUV on a tight budget then you may go with the base variant of Kia Seltos. The base variant (diesel) is equipped with all the necessities and it doesn’t feel lacking in any department. However, if you are willing to get a petrol SUV then we would suggest you to stretch your budget a bit and get your hands on a higher variant. On the other hand, if you do not wish to stretch your budget then the Sonet would be an ideal pick. - You wouldn't face any issues. As expected of a petrol motor, it is smooth and quiet too. At high speeds and on broken roads the Seltos feels like a healthy combination of car and SUV. It takes the harshness out of potholes and bumps with ease and yet it feels very composed and confident at higher speeds. The all-wheel disc brakes on higher variants give it added confidence. It would be a good option for hilly areas as the Seltos impressed us so much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. There are even choices galore in terms of variants, trim, and equipment levels. Moreover, after performing several test brands brings cars on road with the new technology. So far we have not come across to any heating issue in Seltos. We would suggest you take a test drive for a better understanding of performance and comfort. - I say its average performance. it has a pull back if you want to start in hilly regions where is slope is less. Hill hold assist needs a certain angle to get activate. No engine heating notices.
- Unexpected performance at hilly area it has not any problem of engine heating

If you drive less than 50km in a day then we recommend you to go with a petrol car as they are easy to maintain, have a longer life span and they cost less initially than the diesel car. - It would be a good option for hilly areas as the Seltos impressed us So much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. There are even choices galore in terms of variants, trim, and equipment levels. And more than anything its pricing makes it one of the hottest picks in the segment. The 1497 cc Petrol engine generates a power of 113.42bhp@6300rpm and torque of 144nm@4500rpm. Seltos is also equipped with features like Hill Assist. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
- We have HTK+ variant of same engine and have driven on every type of road a normal person residing in semi urban locality will go to and encountered no issues and coming to your point on hilly regions it's great if you are moving but from stand still you will need to rev a little with good clutch coordination else car will stall and it struggles for traction if driven from standstill on slope/hill as it's only front wheel drive. if you reside in mountainous region you can opt for diesel one else if you specifically want petrol motor & if your pocket permits to shell out some 2-3 lacs more get 1.4turbo motor but then forget the efficiency. or if you are experienced driver you will manage with this too. btw great car no issues as such. and a proper head turner.
- The Nissan Magnite has a lot of potential as a family car. Audio: 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth and four speakers The Kia Seltos’ base variant is equipped with all the necessities. It doesn’t feel lacking in any department and the fact that it undercuts the Creta petrol and is closely priced to the Nissan Kicks makes it a sensible option. That said, Kia has pegged it as a premium, modern-day SUV and to capture its true essence, we would suggest that you read on for our pick. - As per your requirements, the diesel engine would prove to be a good choice. A petrol car makes sense if you drive less than 1500kms monthly on average. Diesel cars are more fuel-efficient and provide more torque, therefore, are preferred for a person whose driving is on the higher side.
- HTK Plus variant makes sense for diesel buyers. HTK Plus is priced at Rs 12.69 lakh/ Rs 13.69 lakh (AT). (ex-showroom, Delhi). - Kia Seltos is powered by offering a 1.5-liter engine with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed planetary (automatic) gearbox. The engine doesn't feel very diesel-like. It is smooth and refined, the clutch is light and it responds smartly even under 1500rpm. So, it can be quite enjoyable for everyday commuting in the city. The automatic transmission combination is even more impressive, as it cuts out the hassle of gear changes but without the clumsiness associated with autos. Despite its modest output of 115PS, it feels capable of high-speed cruises. After 3500rpm, the noise associated with diesel engines becomes obvious. For a better understanding of compatibility and driving comfort, we would suggest you take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership in your city.

- When comparing the more affordable Seltos variant with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the Creta SX, the Kia offers more comfort features at a lower price. However, we’d recommend spending the extra cash for the added safety features of the Creta. You also get a panoramic sunroof in the Creta. Hyundai Creta is clearly an impressive compact SUV. It is spacious, comfortable, loaded with features, easy to drive and offered with powerful petrol and diesel engine options. It is hard to fault the Hyundai Creta and it comes across as a well-rounded product. On the other hand, Kia Seltos clearly has a great mix of style, tech, quality and comfort. - The Nissan Kicks would be a brilliant pick if you are looking for an SUV with premium design inside-out, powerful turbo petrol and CVT automatic option and brilliant ride quality. The Nissan Kicks has the potential to be an exciting alternative in the compact crossover segment - it looks exciting, has well-appointed interiors, has one of the most balanced ride characteristics in its segment, and has some segment-first features like a 360-degree reversing camera. The new turbo petrol means it's also the most powerful in the segment. However, it does have a few other small niggles, like the blanked out steering controls and the missing 60-40 split for the rear bench but it makes up for this with good highway driveability and excellent ride quality. You may pick the Nissan if you prefer better drivability and ride quality.

- Torque converters or we can say Automatic Transmission feel quite responsive and are well suited for city or highway driving. Depending on their tuning, they can either offer great performance or excellent efficiency, or even a good mix of both. A torque converter is a good bet for you if your driving includes a mix of different scenarios such as slow city crawls in traffic, long highway stints where you easily cruise at triple-digit speeds or a twisty road that requires you to go through the gears often -- and all of that with the option of still returning a fuel efficiency that would be close to its manual counterpart. A torque converter uses two turbines, one connected to the flywheel and the other to the gearbox. A transmission liquid in the middle transfers the force from one side to the other. On the other hand, DCT(Dual Clutch Transmission) has two different clutches which operate two sets of gear ratios, one odd and the other even. When driving around, a computer pre-selects what it feels will be the next required gear using the second clutch, and thus, at the time of the gear shift, the difference between the two is negligible. The computer uses multiple parameters to judge if an upshift, or a downshift will be required. However, the basic premise here is that a higher gear will be selected if you are accelerating and a lower gear will be chosen if you are decelerating. In terms of price, they are ideally around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh more expensive than their manual counterparts and are a lot more expensive to repair as well. Due to the extensive machinery onboard, a dual-clutch transmission can be fine-tuned to offer quick shifts or more comfortable shifts. - The Seltos impressed us So much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. It offers great interiors and cabin experience. And more than anything its pricing makes it one of the hottest picks in the segment. On the other hand, the Hector, though, strikes a healthy middle ground. It offers an unmatched technology package with no real compromise on daily usability or practicality. It offers better power and it is spacious too. You may compare both cars accordingly. - No, it would not be a viable option to install a CNG kit in Kia Sonet.
- The cabin design, the choice of color combinations, the quality of materials and the finish make it look like it costs well over Rs 20 lakh. Cleverly, all the touchpoints - like the steering wheel, the gear lever, the elbow pad on the door and the crashpad on the dash - have soft-touch leather on it. The leather-wrap for the flat-bottomed steering wheel deserves a special mention as it wouldn’t be out of place on an Audi either. On that note, the quality of the steering-mounted buttons and the silver finish used around the centre console felt worthy of a luxury car. Other than this, Kia has made use of hard plastics which undoubtedly will help keep the price in check. Thankfully, everything is designed sensibly. The aircon vents are large and you can shut each one as well and the armrest between the front seats is well placed too. You may explore all its specefications and features according to its variants.

- The spare wheel, be it a full-size non-matching spare tire or a compact spare, is typically a smaller diameter than your four normal use tires. It may be a slight half-inch up to a couple inches in diameter different and the width is usually significantly less than your factory tires. This is to save space in your vehicle when the spare tire is stored. The spare wheel is not provided for regular usage. The structure of the spare tire rim is less important than regular use rims, so it may have a much different wheel offset, or may even be made of lightweight steel compared to normal wheels. Being smaller and made of lightweight material makes it easier to install when necessary but also not usually as rigid or capable of the same abuse a normal wheel receives on the road.

- My choice will be Diesel Automatic
- The Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta shares the same 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed torque converter. We think the Seltos makes for a safer choice thanks to its traditional design and long list of features while the Creta will appeal to those who want to make a bold statement and need a bigger sunroof. The Seltos impressed us So much that all we could complain about was a lack of under thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. And more than anything its pricing makes it one of the hottest picks in the segment. Whereas, the Creta feels like it’s lifted its game a step up, and in some ways, even a step and a half up with a more sophisticated ride, comfort and features list. But we’re used to Hyundais being leaders of the pack, especially when it comes to features. And the new Creta does have a few misses in the features department. - You may have an aftermarket black sticker installed on your Kia Seltos in order to get a dual-tone look. However, the durability would depend on the quality and maintenance. Originally, the Kia Seltos is available in 5 dual-tone paint options: Glacier White Pearl With Punchy Orange, Steel Silver With Punchy Orange, Intense Red With Aurora Black Pearl, Punchy Orange With Clear White and Glacier White Pearl With Aurora Black Pearl. Here, dual-tone is obtained with the combination of paints and not a sticker. For more details, you may connect with the nearest authorized service center. - Both Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta shares the same 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox options. With the Kia Seltos, you get an option to choose between an automatic and manual, while in Creta the turbo engine is only available with a 7-speed DCT. The young at heart will undoubtedly be seduced by the Seltos’ charm and will make peace with the somewhat iffy ride quality, the low-speed lurch of the gearbox, and the cozier cabin. Meanwhile, the Creta’s lower levels of finesse and glaring feature misses will be a sore point. However, as a family SUV, for the city or highway the Creta’s better ride, airy cabin and smoother drivetrain will be the better pick. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. - Selecting the right fuel type depends on your utility and average running of the car. If you drive less then 50km in a day then we recommend you to go with a petrol car as they are easy to maintain, have a longer life span and they cost less initially then the diesel car. On the other hand, diesel cars are preferred if the average daily run is more than 50km which makes it feasible purchase. The diesel cars are more fuel efficient and provide more torque, therefore, are preferred for a person who drives more than 50km. Whereas, petrol engine has a low service cost, more life span, generally have a well-controlled NVH level and are cheaper in cost than the diesel engines. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- The HTK+ variant does get a few interesting add-ons such as LED DRLs, 16-inch metallic alloy wheels, cruise control, auto-folding ORVMs, auto headlamps, etc. However, doesn't justify the premium over the HTK variant. Most of these features are either cosmetic or feel-good in nature. And most of these features don’t hold much relevance in day-to-day usage either. However, the HTK+ is the most affordable variant with a diesel-auto powertrain option and would be a good option if you are eyeing for the diesel powered Seltos. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- The Seltos HTK+ variant offers rear wiper and washer, auto headlamps, LED DRLs, 16-inch metallic alloy wheels, LED Sound Mood lighting, smart key with push-button start, cruise control, auto-folding ORVMs, etc. over the Seltos HTK variant. - What are the changes in coming 2021 Seltos HTK pulse
- Both cars are of different segments and come under different price ranges. The Seltos impressed us So much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. There are even choices galore in terms of variants, trim and equipment levels. And more than anything its pricing makes it one of the hottest picks in the segment. So, Seltos can only be recommended over if you want a more spacious and bigger car at a price. On the other hand, Urban Cruiser remains good value for money for an everyday city-centric SUV. It offers a better feature list at a price and its refined petrol engine makes it a better driver as well. You may compare both cars accordingly. Do take a test driver for better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- You may have some of the features installed in the HTK variant, however, it would be a expensive task. For more details, you may connect with the nearest authorized dealership and they would be able to assist you with the details. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- The HTX and the higher variants of Kia Seltos comes equipped with automatic AC and Climate Control Panel with silver garnish.
- The Hyundai Creta is clearly an impressive compact SUV. It is spacious, comfortable, loaded with features, easy to drive and offered with powerful petrol and diesel engine options. It does have some shortcomings like the polarising design or the lack of features like front parking sensors and telescopic adjust for the steering. But other than that, it is hard to fault the Hyundai Creta and it comes across as a well rounded product. Kia’s Seltos is a vehicle you can’t go wrong with. Because of its high wow factor, it will attract a lot of attention. More importantly, it backs it up with a solid and sensible personality too. Of the four engine options that we drove, you wouldn’t go wrong no matter which one you choose. The space in the cabin and comfort on offer makes it very practical for all occupants. However, it just misses out on hitting the bulls eye for a few small niggles like the seat base cushioning and the clumsy headedness of the 1.4-litre petrol-automatic combination. A little bit more by way of driver involvement would have pleased the enthusiasts too. These may be small gripes but it’s actually a testament to how good the rest of the Seltos package is. It’s clear that the Kia Seltos has set the benchmark in the segment, not by being dramatically different, but by being better in most areas. The Hector, though, strikes a healthy middle ground. It offers an unmatched technology package with no real compromise on daily usability or practicality. Additionally, while the interior quality isn’t as luxurious as we’d hoped, it’s still well made and tastefully designed. It’s also important to note that even the base variant is well-equipped with no silly compromises to get a namesake starting price. The MG Hector offers fantastic value for money and is indeed a gamble worth taking. If you want an SUV with road presence, cabin space and practicality without breaking the bank, the Tata Harrier is the best choice in the sub-Rs 20 lakh price bracket. Jeep Compass comes across as a value-for-money product as compared to its only direct rival, the Hyundai Tucson. Compass looks tough but also welcoming, has a very comfortable cabin, feels premium with the features on offer, is surprisingly good to drive and is practical too. The Compass delivers on critical fronts like handling, off-road ability and stunning design. However, you do pay a premium for that badge and compromise on space. If backseat comfort is your number one priority, we’d recommend the Tata Harrier instead. The Hector offers fantastic cabin space but falls short on seat comfort. If you want the richest cabin and want the most fun to drive pick, that’d be the Jeep Compass. You may compare all these cars accordingly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.

- The Seltos is a brilliant offering from Kia and it clearly has the great mix of style, tech, quality and comfort. In terms of quality, the Seltos misses out on soft-touch plastics but the graining is well executed. In terms of shortcomings, the rear seat could have done with a bit more support and the petrol automatic could have been a bit smoother, but other than that the Seltos is hard to fault. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive for a better understanding of comfort and compatibility. You may click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details. However, the diesel engine does get a bit noisy post 3500rpm but because this motor feels strong from as low as 1400rpm you rarely end up working it hard. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive for a better understanding of comfort and performance. You may click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- The 1.5-litre petrol engine in the Kia Seltos generates 115PS of power and 144Nm of peak torque. If you prefer calm driving and want an hassle-free option for daily drives, then the 1.5-litre petrol engine could prove to be a brilliant option. Also, the HTX variant gets most of the Seltos’ segment-first features and asks for a healthy but rather acceptable premium. - Kia Seltos is a brilliant offering from the Korean carmaker and it impressed us So much that all we could complain about was a lack of under thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. - Kia Seltos comes equipped with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 115PS of power and 250Nm of peak torque. The engine is available either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. If you want a smooth automatic then you should go for the diesel, because the torque converter transmission that it comes paired with is smooth and gear shifts are jerk-free. The power delivery from this engine is creamy smooth, and it is free-revving too as it spins to its 5000rpm redline with ease. The engine does get a bit noisy post 3500rpm but because this motor feels strong from as low as 1400rpm you rarely end up working it hard. For a better understanding of performance and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
- Yes, Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition IVT does have a sunroof.

- Kia Seltos is available in two different tyre sizes. While the higher variants get 215/60 R17 specs, the lower variants get 205/65/ R16. Both tyres offer great handling traits and great ride quality. Now, if you are willing to upsize the tyres, then you may go for it as broader tyres offer better handling. Moreover, having bigger tyres would also have a minor effect on the fuel efficiency and performance. Read More: - Should you upsize your car tyres? Read to know

- HTE (base variant) is recommended for those looking for a diesel SUV on a tight budget. The Kia Seltos’ base variant is equipped with all the necessities. It doesn’t feel lacking in any department and the fact that it undercuts the Creta petrol and is closely priced to the Nissan Kicks makes it a sensible option. HTK, mid-variant of the Seltos Tech-Line is a brilliant value offering for petrol buyers. It gets a host of additional equipment at just a fraction of the premium that diesel buyers will have to pay. For the diesel variant, the premium might sound a bit steep, but it will help improve your ownership experience in the long run. Thus, for the sake of modernity without loosening your purse strings by much, you can get the Seltos HTK. But for a loaded Seltos that delivers value as well, you’d need to stretch a bit more. HTK makes sense for diesel buyers. The add-ons that one gets on the HTK don’t justify the premium over the HTK variant. Most of these features are either cosmetic or feel-good in nature. And most of these features don’t hold much relevance in day-to-day usage either. However, the HTK is the most affordable variant with a diesel-auto powertrain option. HTX is expensive but worth at its price. This is the variant to go for for those looking to get a premium iteration of the Seltos. While this variant is the most affordable one that offers the 1.5-litre petrol with an automatic gearbox, the diesel engine is only available with a manual transmission. That aside, this variant gets most of the Seltos’ segment-first features and asks for a healthy but rather acceptable premium. The Kia Seltos HTX is a diesel-only offering and gets a whole lot of kit over the HTX variant at an acceptable premium. If you had already stretched your budget till the HTX, then consider getting this as it will not have much effect on your monthly EMIs either. However, all’s not rosy here as despite being a top-spec offering in the Tech-Line trim, it misses out on side and curtain airbags, which is available on the GTX but comes at a premium of Rs around 85,000. If we talk about GTX, the premium is quite steep, but given the extra safety and feel-good features, the GTX is our variant of choice. Apart from a striking looking exterior it also has the safety suite of side and curtain airbags which makes it a great pick in our books. GTX (The top-spec Seltos GT-Line) is available with a bit more premium goodies and safety features but if we were you, we’d skip this unless we were in the mood to splurge. Having said that, it offers some unique features such as a 360-degree parking camera with a blind spot monitoring system (displays feed from the ORVMs in the MID). You may compare all its variants accordingly.
- The Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition will be a limited edition with only 6,000 units on sale. For the bookings, we would suggest you to connect with the nearest authorized dealership in your city.
- DCT stands for the dual-clutch transmission. It is a bit on the heavier side as it has a lot of moving parts and gears. It has two clutches that control even and odd gear ratio with the first one getting an odd set of gear. It also has two transmission shafts that control those gear ratios which are already divided the odd one being inside the even and longer. It also has a part named dog clutches which are close to the gear and engage when the gear ratio respective of them needs to be used. The advantages are the driver comfort and efficiency. The gear switch is so smooth that you will not feel a jerk while changing gears. And as there are no breaks in transmission it has better efficiency.
- As of now, there is no official update from the brands end. Stay tuned for further updates.

- Since you average running with the car is on the lower side, we would suggest you to opt for the petrol-DCT option over the diesel one. The diesel cars are more efficient when it comes to fuel economy and provide more torque, therefore, are preferred for a person who drives more than 60kms. The petrol engine would be a god option for you as it has a low service cost, more life span, generally have a well-controlled NVH level and are cheaper in cost than the diesel engines. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

- Choosing the right fuel type depends on your usage and average running of the car. If you drive less then 50/60kms in a day then we recommend you to go with for a petrol car as they are easy to maintain, have a longer life span and they cost less then the diesel car. On the other hand, the diesel cars are preferred if the average daily running of your car is more than 60kms which makes it a viable option for a purchase. The diesel cars are more efficient when it comes to fuel economy and provide more torque, while the petrol engine has a low service cost, more life span, generally have a well-controlled NVH level and are cheaper in cost than the diesel engines. Do take a test drive of the car before making the final decision. Follow the link for dealership details.

- But sir company is saying rear brake is drum in petrol variant
- But in petrol youtube video it is showing drum in rear brake
- In seltos htk plus variant four wheel disc brake available or not ?
- As per my understanding, Creta suspension is more on softer side as compared to Seltos which is stiff. So you may feel more comfortable in creta on uneven roads but on the other hand Seltos gives you more enthuastic feel while pushing the accelerator as compared to Creat even though they have same engine specifiction but there is a difference of fine tunning.
- Creta gives a car type riding feel where as Seltos give a sporty crossover feel

- There is a lot of difference in Petrol 1.4 and Diesel 1.5. If you want performance and a punchy engine then go for 1.4 petrol and if you want fuel efficient car, then go for 1.5 diesel. Please remember, service cost of diesel engine is slightly more than petrol engines. Also keep in mind the difference between fuel cost per ltr of petrol and diesel. All the best

- No it does not, but the SX does have gaudy, distracting 'party' lights in the door speakers that sync with the music played on the Bose sound system. Go figure!
- Not in seltos ,but you get it in the Kia carnival.

- No chance, almost 54 % cost of seltos is due to multiple layers of taxes. 28% GST, 14% cess, 1% TCS, 10% Road tax, 18% GST on insurance. Will the government reduce above taxes? In fact the government makes more money than the manufacturer.

- Gtx is powerful
- All lower & mid variants come with Arkamys music system, while all higher variants come with Bose system.
- Yes, if it's done outside, but doing it in Kia authorized service center will not affect warranty, but again it's very expensive, around ₹40,000.
- I have replaced the projector head lamp with LED at Kia dealer for 7500/- six months before for my HTK plus D AT.
- Company saying that there will be no extra fitting from there centre
- Fabric seat covers are available in basic & mid trim versions only, in higher trim you get leather seat covers.
- No. Kia doesn't offer all colors across all variants. In Seltos black color is available in HTX plus and above variants. Kia is the only company which puts so many restrictions
- 1 to 2 months, it also depends on the colour chosen. Red & white are easily available, but for other colours, waiting period, varies.
- Black color available in seltos htk g petrol variant.?
- Not significant effect on mileage, but odometer may give false reading because it has been calibrated for 16 inch wheels. Again, the quantum of false reading is not significant (neglible).
- 2019 kia seltos is not available in showrooms, because kia produced only 4000 seltos in December 2019, against confirmed booking for those willing to take December delivery in domestic market. Around equal number were exported to overseas markets in December 2019.It's difficult to get base petrol model in the used market, but you can still try it out, as some may be willing to sell, due to financial stress or going abroad for employment etc
- Performance is superb, along with driving pleasure & comfort. you may test drive the petrol automatic & the manual, though it's rarely available for test drives.
- Definitely, exchange facility is available with all kia dealers. But take a test drive of seltos variants & arrive at your choice,.
- Absolutely no difference between manual transmission & automatic transmission variants except for the automatic transmission, IVT, DCT in petrol & Torque converter automatic in diesel. You pay extra only for the automatic transmission.
- No, you get it only in Kia carnival.
- Automatic transmission is available as intelligent variable transmission (IVT) & 7 speed Dual clutch transmission (DCT) in petrol & Torque converter automatic in diesel. Test drive all the 3 automatics & take your pick.
- I filled 58.15 litres today in my gtx+ petrol. The range in my odometer was still showing around 30kms, which means it still had around 2 litres in the tank. Don't know whether it could take 60 litres or did the fuel station dupe me...The starting meter was 0..so no defrauding there!
- I have filled 62.5 liter petrol in our seltos htx .the dealer said it was due to vacuum and expansion of tank due to over filling even after auto cut off but the mileage shows only 576 kilometers after running the vehicle more than 150 kilometers the tank filled with 22 liter how it is possible?
- We are managing one petrol pump in Mumbai. Even we have filled 57.75 liters in customers car kia seltos. Customer is arguing with us. We have computer generated bill approved by government.
- Ask for petrol automatic (IVT) intelligent variable transmission or DCT (Dual clutch transmission) in petrol or Torque converter automatic in diesel. As far as sun roof is concerned, it's not useful or practical in dusty, hot, humid, rainy & city pollution conditions in india & can be used only in exceptional circumstances. So be practical. But if you want a sunroof plus automatic version, it is certainly available.
- Gt line desiel automatic transmission costs 24 lacs
- Without an iota of doubt, kia seltos is the best, no wonder, it sold 15,000 seltos in January 2020. Go
- In Verna you sit within the body of the car, while in Seltos (suv) you sit above the body of the car, giving good vision of the road ahead.Seltos is comfortable to drive
- You better go for automatic transmission
- 1) Heating issues are due to faulty driving. Please assimilate the art of driving a DCT (Theory) from Google & put it to practice. There will be absolutely no heating issues.2) odd even gear slipping is not seen in the present crop of cars, though this has been reported in early cars. If at all, it is present, a software updates at the service center will solve the problem.3) kia offers 5 years extended warranty (limited warranty to 1.20 lakh km & unlimited km warranty) so you have nothing to worry.4) just buy a seltos & enjoy life, it is Badass & really in a class of its own. I suggest you test drive both petrol & Diesel version, auto & manual & also the DCT, before you take a final decision on the variant.5) you will appreciate the comfort & power of DCT, only when you test drive the other variants.
- There is no chance of decrease in prices, prices are expected to further increase in future at around 4 to 5 %. So, choose your seltos among the 20 variants available at ex showroom price range from 9.80 lakhs to 17.30 lakhs & buy.Seltos is competitively priced Taxes account for 55 % of the on road price. GST 28 %, cess 17%TCS 1% GST on insurance 18% Road tax 10%.
- BMW services & spares cost a bomb, terribly expensive. Better to get a top end seltos & enjoy the comfort of your car & pocket friendly maintenance for the next 10 years.
- No, Diesel engines is same 1.5 Litre turbo, you get manual transmission as well as Torque converter automatic transmission. 7 speed DCT transmission is not available with Diesel engine. DCT transmission is available only in 1 litre Turbo petrol.
- 1.2 litre Petrol
- 1.4 l prtrol

- Global NCAP just tested the Indian seltos and it scored an average 3 stars in adult safety. They tested the base model with 2 airbags, but the passenger compartment and footwell is not stable under high impact.
- NCAP rating not done so far, however in ANCAP it has received 5 star rating.
- ANCAP rated seltos is advanced as compared with Indian Seltos.
- Seltos is 5 seater, 7 seater version will not be available. However u can buy Kia carnival 7/8/9 seater versions are available for purchase right now. Bookings are open.
- Kia seltos in 20 variants both petrol & Diesel, Manual & automatic transmission, ex showroom price varies from ₹9.80 lakhs to ₹18 lakhs. Exchange facility for your swift 2018 model is available at kia showrooms or you can get it outside. Remember seltos comes in BS 6 versions, while your old swift is BS4.
- If engine check lights keeps on blinking, it is a very serious issue, stop the car on the spot & call the kia for roadside assistance, else if you drive serious, expensive engine damage can occur. Now the above case is minor & have been reported by several owners & is due to BS4 diesel used in BS6 engines. Kia has tested seltos on Indian roads for over 20 lakh kilometers & seltos is Badass by performance & durability. A work horse indeed. The BS6diesel engine has been tested on BS4 fuel & is designed to run a lakh kilometers, but not more, by then BS6 diesel should be available. Nevertheless, all owners of Kia seltos diesel, who face the issue of continuous engine check lights on, episode should, take it to kia service & get a free engine scan to diagnose the problem. Most probably it would be due to BS4 diesel & in that case nothing to worry. You can also get a software update on ECM. If the DPF (Diesel particulate filter) is clogged, it can be replaced for ₹6000 or do it for free during warranty period. It pays to take extended warranty..
- Sir I have SELTOS HTE DIESEL. I've strange vibrating noise in the dashboard at immediate throttle at 4,5,6 gears.Seems to be DPF clogging.(back pressure and exhaust gas temperatures increase within the turbine housing.)How to solve this. I'd like to know DPF location in seltos and price. Is it advisable to clean or replace.
- If it is due to DPF filter clogging, you can run your seltos diesel on 3rd gear above 3000 rpm for 30 mins and light should be gone.
- No, exchange, from kia, but you can do it from outside.
- What type of wheels are in kia sonnet HTK+
- What type of wheels are in kia sonnet HTK+
- I am an owner but mine doesnt have the issue. You can only feel the shifts when you go hard on it,but otherwise it is not noticable
- Yes it does often
- Absolutely no problems at all & No heating issues at all. However entertainment systems may hang, due to Vodafone / Idea connectivity issues. The fault lies with Vodafone connectivity & not with this car.Heating issues have been reported only in the petrol turbo 7 speed DCT automatic. Again this fault is due to the ignorance of drivers & not the DCT. You have to learn the art of driving a DCT from the Google (Theory) & put this assimilated knowledge into practice, while driving the DCT, other wise heating issues occur.
- Certainly you can do it. Kia showrooms offers exchange facility.
- Very Good
- If you want more mileage, go for diesel automatic, else go for petrol automatic. If you are not at all concerned with maintenance costs & mileage but want supreme driving pleasure the turbo petrol 7 speed DCT (Dual clutch transmission) is the best. However please assimilate the art of driving a DCT (Theory) from Google & take a test drive of all the 3 automatics at your nearest kia showroom. Bring your driving license for getting a test drive.
- R16 steel wheel exchange to 17 alloy wheel with tyre
- Seltos main spare wheel 16inch ka Kyun hai
- Seltos main spare wheel 16inch ka Kyun hai
- Not at all its the best for city use
- I) its a dry clutch DCT, No heating issues 100 %. 2) However most people are ignorant about the art of driving a DCT & end up with heating issues in extreme conditions & is due to their ignorance & not the fault of the car.3) I suggest you assimilate the art of driving a DCT ( Theory) from Google & put it into practice, while driving. There will be no heating issues at all.
- It's not dry gear box. Oil sealed gearbox, over heating problem is soled & now they use minaral oil in gearbox instead of synthetic oil. This is in my knowledge. you can confirm with Volxwagen service center with out hesitation to clear your dought
- Been 7 months i bought gtx plus turbo dct, no such issues fortunately no heating at all, took it for long trips also, no issues. Only problem rather a small one is the fuel efficiency, which is like 7 to 8 in city. Highway 13+. Biggest issue is service time and quality.
- Already available from October 2019.
- CVT and all wheel drive
- No 4x4
- At present, service centers do not offer upgrades to either kia original 16 or 17 inch alloy wheels. So you will have to procure the alloy wheels from outside & get it fitted from authorized service center, after getting prior consent from the Manager or SA.
- Yes, definitely you can upgrade.
- Not available in mid trims & below. Available in HTX & above.
- Htx and above
- It's a premium variant with all the bells & whistles, safety & comfort. However it is not value for money. Also maintenance & service costs will be higher than other models.. For those who can afford the price, it is the perfect 👌 buy.You cannot blame kia for the pricing. Almost 49 % of the ex showroom price of the car is constituted by taxes, GST, cess, TCS etc, all multiple layers of taxes.Add insurance costs & Road tax, on the ex showroom price, taxes constitute more than 53 % of the on road price of the car.Now if you are a salaried person, you are buying this car, after paying 30 % income tax on your annual salary. Again you pay 53 % taxes to the government on the on road price of the car. Is it not looting of the honest tax payer by levying multiple layers of taxes? especially in the modern world, car is a necessity & not a luxury.
- Three automatics in Seltos1) IVT or CVT (intelligent variable transmission in petrol2) DCT ( Dual clutch transmission) 7 speed in Turbo petrol3) Torque converter automatic in diesel. With your driving license, go to a kia showroom & test drive the 3 automatics to experience the pleasure of driving.Special Remarks DCT is a class apart. Assimilate the art of driving DCT ( theory) from Google & then drive the DCT variant.
- 1) IVT, (intelligent variable transmission) in petrol2) DCT (Dual clutch transmission) in Turbo petrol3) Torque converter automatic in diesel. Please note, there are no AMT in Seltos, all are fully automatic systems.
- Kia seltos is a midsized Suv, while Toyota Raize is a subcompact suv. I suggest you to go for the kia seltos, either diesel or petrol, Manual or automatic transmission, available in over 18 plus variants, one for every Indian. You may visit, any kia showroom, with your driving license & ask for a test drive of both petrol & Diesel, Manual & automatic & iam certain you will fall in love with the design & comfort & safety of seltos. Most important is the driving comfort in Seltos. It is a pleasure to drive.
- This is Toyota RAV4 rebadged as Raize
- This is Toyota RAV4 rebadged as Raize
- Your focus should be on the driving pleasure & comfort, which HTX diesel manual provides. However if you want the benefits of wireless charger, be prepared to shell out a lakh rupees plus on the HTX plus variant, which gives you the wireless charger.
- Nope
- For value for money, budget buyers, even after the price hike, the base model, both petrol & Diesel is a steal. However waiting period can vary for 3 to 5 months after booking for a token amount of ₹25,000. Kia does not make money on base variant & so you have to patiently wait. Now here is the secret. The base variant is fully equipped with ABS, EBD, air bags, power windows, reversing sensors, both disc brakes (only in diesel variants) plus BS 6 engines. Now if you want to upgrade to DRL, alloy wheels, reverse camera etc, you can get it done by spending a few thousands.
- Yes. it's a value for money product.u can also modify it and you can give your personal touch
- Base model color
- It is powerful enough. It's not underpowered. Kia is owned by Hyundai & you will get a more premium service than Hyundai, though it will take a few months for the service set up to be scaled.Test drive both the petrol & Diesel versions as well as the petrol DCT version after assimilating the art of driving DCT from Google & then take your pick.
- 1)for the pleasure of driving GTX DCT is the best. However you have to assimilate the art of driving a DCT from Google, ( assimilate the theory & then put it into practice) How ever in city, bumper to bumper, mileage can be as low as 8 kmpl & 18 kmpl on high ways.2) Diesel automatic gives 12 kmpl in B to B traffic & around 18 kmpl on the high way. Driving comfort & pleasure is supreme.3) Learn the art ( Theory) of driving DCT from Google & go to a kia showroom & test drive, both versions & you get your desired companion for the next 14 years.Remarks, Maintenance costs & fuel costs will be substantially higher for the DCT version.
- At 60 k km per year, you can get diesel manual or automatic. Undoubtedly if money is not your concern, GTX is the best.If you value money (value for money) variants are 1) HTX for top variant 2) HTK plus for mid variant 3) HTE for the base variant.
- If you are doing highway driving more often then safety should be priority number 1 for you, and not the looks or gadgetory advancement (bells&whistles)... In my ground opinion you should go for either Toyota, Tata or Honda vehicles.
- This reply is meant for the original question and it's question maker. Wrongly entered as reply to Bala krishan.
- Kia seltos is 5 seater. If you want 7,9,11 seater go for kia carnival
- All over India, BS6 seltos is available. No BS 4 variant in Seltos. However it can run on BS 4 fuel up to 1 lakh km.
- Total 18 variants, both petrol & Diesel, Manual & automatic transmission. Soon it will go to 20 variants.
- Yes, if you do it in authorized workshops. If you do it outside, it will void your warranty.
- What could be cost of the same ?
- Suspension is designed in such a way that seltos feels firmly planted on the road, with no body roll, but on bad roads, certainly you will feel little bit of bumps /shocks creeping in.Another major factor is test drive & new cars come with 50 psi pressure. If you reduce it to 35 psi, will give more comfortable rides reducing bumps /shocks from the suspension to a major extent.
- Both the petrol & Diesel are a pleasure to drive. Driving comfort is superb. Diesel torque is addictive. Both manual & automatic transmission, are very comfortable. For driving DCT ( dual clutch transmission) in petrol, you need to assimilate the art of using DCT from Google.
- Hi Balakrishnan, During test drive experience, it is observed that rear wheels suspension is not good. I can feel the shocks for little uneven roads also. This is quite demotivating for an SUV buyer..Any comments or fixes available for this known issue?Regards,Ramki
- With seats 433 Litres, with folded rear seats, around 900 litres.
- No, lower & mid variants get Arkamys, while higher variants get Bose.
- Kia Seltos does not feature paddle shifters with any of the variants. Click on the link for more information.
- In kia seltos can modify to paddle shift?
- Yes
- Maintenance cost depends upon the engine type for 1.5 petrol it is between 3 to 4 thousand for a normal yearly service with oil change and other minor works . Seltos got 5 star rating in ANCAP rating.
- ₹6000 for every 10,000 km for Diesel & ₹4000 for petrol. Safety 5 star. ABS, EBD, 2 air bags, all disc brakes in basic variants & plus more in mid & higher variants.
- Saltos super+ features
- Always creta🔥🔥🔥and nexon and brezza budget friendly
- Increase your budget by approx 1.5 lakhs and buy saltos
- Nexon
- 1) Diesel will have slightly more maintenance costs than petrol version, however this is offset by distance travelled over 15,000 km per year, AC usage, full load of passengers looking, luggage etc.2) However maintenance & servicing of DCT is expensive, because of the Nature of the components, high cost of spares, replacement, consumables of the DCT.3) Further DCT is a premium version & Naturally servicing & spares will be substantially higher, when compared to other versions.4) DCT variant is for premium segment, those who are willing to spend money for luxury, sporty feel, high power output. Those looking for economy should avoid DCT & gofor petrol or diesel. Also kia makes maximum margin on the DCT variant. 5) That said, I emphasize that DCT variant servicing & maintenance will be substantially higher, but it will not cost a bomb, like Audi, Skoda, Mercedes etc so test drive a DCT & if you love it, go for it, without regrets.
- 1) if you drive more than 15, 000 to 20,000 km per year go for the diesel.2) if your driving kilometers is less than 15000 per year go for the petrol.3) if you are addicted to the torque of diesel, get the diesel variant, irrespective of annual kilometers covered.4) if you are a connoisseur, to get maximum pleasure of driving & not bothered about the mileage or maintenance costs, go for the DCT ( 7 speed Dual clutch transmission) in Turbo petrol.Special Remarks, Assimilate the art of driving a DCT from Google ( Theory) & grasp the gist of it, before you test drive a DCT.

- HTX gets Sunroof, Automatic Climate Control, 17' Alloys, Air Purifier, D cut leather wrapped steering wheel, All LED Lights
- 2 air bags in HTX plus diesel manual. All variants of seltos from base variant to the top gets 2 air bags. However the top most variants in both diesel & petrol gets 6 air bags.
- Diesel manual
- 6 airbags
- Kindly visit your nearest Kia authorized dealership
- Bhai csd ke naam pe teko hasi kyu aati h
- 😂 😂
- Petrol 1.5 Litre IVT (intelligent variable transmission) in HTX model, on road price is ₹16. 80 lakhs. This includes insurance & 3 years extended warranty & fast tag.For the Turbo petrol 7 speed DCT, on road price will be ₹20. 26 lakhs.
- 15 .38lacs petrol IVT HTX
- Launched give comparison
- Nice car in the india
- In HTX PLUS DIESEL manual ??
- 8 kmpl in bumper to bumper traffic, 12 kmpl in city & 18 kmpl on high ways. However you have to assimilate the art of driving a DCT from Google ( Theory), before driving the DCT variant.
- I don't have GTX+ DCT mine is Manual
- What is its’ mileage
- Only top end variant. You should discuss the base as well as mid variant. Stop advertising and start providing real information.
- No bro...it just drives like a sedan...smooth and steady..i own HTK diesel..much steadier thn maruti cars
- Diesel has torque converter unit and not IVT and yes you can use DCT in city also just keep shifting to neutral when in traffic and don't use creeping function as other automatics as it can get really hot inside gearbox making it to give warning to stop and this is not only for seltos dct but other cars too having dct gearbox . Talking about smoothest automatic gearbox it is IVT you wont feel any gearshifts but yes you will feel gearshifts in DCT just have a test drive
- I have only driven Petrol GTX+, it is very smooth and have a very good response in city conditions. It gives the thrill for driving, I have done 300 kms a day in difficult roads it doesn’t hurt you at all. In heavy traffic and tight city roads the manoeuvring is very easy even with fingers you can control the steering. Mirrors are helpful, 360 degrees camera is awesome and inly discomfort we feel is from the under thigh support, mainly for short people.
- They should launch a IVT petrol htx+ under 16 - 16.5 lacs on road price as the current IVT Petrol costs 15.38 lacs on road
- Yes Kia should launch HTX plus petrol automatic.
- Go for HTK plus Diesel
- Give proper reply.. Question is not is service cost of seltos same as creta
- Same as hyundai Creta 1.6 diesel
- 265 PAN india. There service network is okay now but will improve soon
- 1) 115 ps power and 250 NM Torque in 1.5 litre Diesel engine 2) 115 ps and 144 NM torque in 1.5 litre Petrol version 3) 140 ps and 242 NM torqu in 1.4 litre Turbocharged Petrol version
- Definitely. Iam a proud owner and very happy with my seltos
- Kia seltos is compact by disgn, more features and more as Ford Ecosport
- Buy diesel version. Diesel engine is more punchy.
- Less compared to my Honda City. But my 1st 3 services were free so hopefully from next service onwards I'll know better. mileage is defiantly better than my Honda City. City gives 11 km/pl and Seltos 14 km/pl.
- I have done only first service so can’t tell right know
- Yet to do paid service as I have only availed first free service
- No don't put CNG if available. Not good for engine and will void warranty. In india we do not have company fitting CNG. All are aftermarket. Even some showroom has option but same all aftermarket.
- No , petrol & diesel. Electric version in another 2 years.
- NO it is not a TAXI
- Same as hyundai Creta
- SELTOS is based on hyundai creta’s unibody platform but with more width , more length and more longer wheelbase than hyundai creta
- 1.4 litre turbocharge with 242 NM torque is best if you are planning petrol version. 1.5 litre petrol with 144 NM torque feels underpowered while overtaking because Petrol engines always have low torque if they are not turbocharged
- Automatic
- 15 16 lakh
- There is no waiting period for kia seltos. It is readily available. My friend who bought selos delivery was given in 2 days. There is sharp fall in sales of seltos. They make people fool like our earlier customer order got cancel hence we are offering you this car immediately and all. So no more charm for seltos in market. Pay and get the car. Still there is ni discount. By march car will b ready and at discount will b available.
- There is no waiting period for car. One of my friend bought the car and delivery was given in 2 days. There is sharp fall in sales of seltos. Dealers make people fool by saying earlier order got canceled and all. However there is now no charm for seltos. And wat i predict is by march it would b cash and carry with discounts.
- I have booked Seltos Diesel on 10th September 2021, in Mumbai and almost after six months the car is not delivered. The reasons are given as the particular model is not manufactured yet. The other showrooms are calling and stating that we have the model ready but it has accessories worth 1.25 lac installed. Just wondering, are they selling accessories or finding alternate ways of selling cars to other customers?
- Get a HTX plus diesel seltos. Value for money compared to the premium price tag of creta. Design is the new benchmark in Seltos with supreme driving comfort & pleasure of driving. I suggest you to go to a kia showroom with your driving license to get a test drive.Creta is obsolete with BS 4 diesel engine & is also put under premium price tag. The next generation creta will come with BS6 engines, but again put under premium pricing.I suggest you to test drive both seltos & creta, with your family, to arrive at a decision you will never regret.
- Buy Seltos diesel 1.5 because SELTOS is fresh design and looks more beautiful than creta and bigger than creta also. Performance of KIA seltos diesel is same as Creta 1.6 diesel in terms of 0-100 , 20-80 & 40-100 kmph speed. Mileage of diesel seltos is better than hyundai creta 1.6 diesel. So Seltos makes more sense to buy
- Kia seltos HTX PLUS D
- HTE petrol version is cheap to buy and it will cost you around 11.60 lakhs onroad in almost all states and upto 11 lakh in DELHI
- Please buy diesel version because it is most fuel efficient among all versions as well as most Torquy engine among all. It has 250 NM torque available from 1500 rpm and because of this the SUV feels very punchy. My diesel seltos is returning FE of 15-17 kmpl in city driving and 20-22 kmpl on highway driving with speeds upto 110 kmph in 6th gear.
- For a daily drive of 50 km & above or 15,000 km or above in a year, you can definitely go for a diesel.
- Go for diesel
- Maintenance cost of KIA SELTOS will be definitely higher than NEXON Because KIA is costly brand as compared to TATA. maintenance cost of Kia Seltos will be same as hyundai creta because both are sibling groups. But as far as prompt service is concerned then definitely atleast for few months it will take some time for KIA to improve spare parts availability but that will be also for less commonly required parts like bumper , lights n all. Otherwise running parts like brake pads , suspension , clutch plates , fuel filters are in stock in every KIA workshop even today. So practically you won’t face any issue after buying seltos
- Don’t cancel your booking. I have clocked 5800 km on my diesel 1.5 seltos and i have faced NO problems at all till date. The only problem with seltos is in case you meet with an accident then it will take some lil bit more time for spares to arrive in workshop but it is obvious as the brand is new. Seltos is perfect package according to me and iam happy with my Seltos. Even i had cancelled creta 1.4 crdi booking after seltos was launched. And iam very happy that i bought KIA SELTOS. Just go ahead for seltos without a second thought
- For your information KIA Seltos and Hyundai Creta both are built on the same platform. If you are concerned about the crash test ratings then you should know that Creta would have performed similarly in the crash test due to the same build. So yeah, If you are looking for a safer option consider may be harrier or XUV 300
- Plz don’t buy seltos . Now Indian crash test has given only 3 stars to seltos . you should surely go for creta.Even brezza is been given 4 stars . I have seltos GTK 2019 model . As soon as I saw the rating given in Indian crash test I feel bad for my decision.plz think before buying .
- Engine of Kia seltos diesel is supremely refined and it is refined at higher rpms also. Performance of diesel 1.5 seltos is even better than Creta 1.6 diesel because Seltos does not have turbo lag and 250 NM torque is available right from lower rpms. So driving is most pleasurable in Seltos Diesel 1.5 and reliability of seltos diesel engine is as same as any hyundai diesel engine because hyundai & Kia both use Hyundai you series Crdi diesel engines.
- Please can you provide more details like from where to get this etc. Will it be fit locally or only from showroom.? Many thanks in advance
- Frame cost is around Rs800 and music system cost is Rs7500 Android with Bluetooth.Enquired from local market
- Frame cost is around Rs800 and music system cost is Rs7500 Android with Bluetooth.Enquired from local market
- Plastic is normal quality, seat covers are ok. Head rest stitching is poor. Floor mat is poor. Entertainment system(Boss) clarity is superb, subwoofer is waste. Air purifier God only know what is it for. Navigation is very good.
- I WOULD GIVE A 7 OUT OF 10.
- Seltos is almost similar to Creta. Both share the same engine and few other parts. Compared to Creta, the Seltos has great looks and feels more premium.
- Excellent and superb as compared to others. NO problems at all
- In terms of features it's god of all but in terms of safety it's trash
- GTX+ have, not in GTX - in petrol versions.
- HTX plus and top GT Line
- Top model only
- Go for Diesel engine with mannual transmission. It most fuel efficient as well as power is also very punchy in diesel version and diesel engine of seltos is most refined among all engines
- Good condition best mileage car daily travel so plz help me to purchase the car What are the dimensions of the car? How is the fuel economy…
- There's not much difference in petrol and diesel prices anymore. From a cost perspective, petrol would be better for you.
- I mean which one of the two variants is most value for money seltos hte di4 or ktk petrol because both are the price range
- If you are tight on budget, For Deisel - HTE, Petrol - HTK
- Htk diesel
- Isn't kia Korean
- Black colour option isn't available for htk+, its available from htx.
- Why did you avoid the question on heating issue of DCT?
- You avoided on the heating issue
- 1.5 Litre petrol & 1.5 Litre turbo diesel along with 1.4 litre Turbo petrol, engines are shared with Hyundai.
- BS6
- Which one is better, Kia Seltos HTK diesel and HTK plus diesel?
- I second your opinion
- GT LINE DESEL TOP MODEL
- If daily travel is 50km then you must go with the Petrol one
- For some reasons my videos (when I connect via apple Carplay) aren't getting played on the screen. Any hack?
- Is the same applicable to HTX+ also?
- Yes
- Please tell me also. What are those tool kits?
- If you are passionate about the power and thrill while driving a car then you should go for petrol 1.4 Ltr petrol which has Turbo changer which boosts the engine power when you need to throttle. But If, punchy engine is not your prime requirement then go for 1.5 Ltr petrol engine. Also pls note that the service cost of 1.4 ltr will be slightly more than 1.5 ltr engine due to turbo charger installed in it.
- As you know dct is dual clutch tx this enables extremly fast changing of gears. its a gdi ie exremely rich fuel mixture (because of turbo ) sprayed into the cumbustion chamber, there is no input manifold this enables better performance. gdi also have their draw back. over all its fun also in a sober mode driving its a king. some have clocked 15 to 17 average on high way of course.
- If you want the car to pull you back while extreme acceleration then you should go for 1.4 petrol turbo.1.5 petrol has a better mileage but you will not get that punch. I have personally bought 1.4 petrol Dct, it gives me abt 8-9kmpl in city but give me a thrill to drive.
- Thanks for the reply...i know all the specifications...just wanted to know which one is of better value and a better car to drive, maintainence cost in the long run...fuel economy, peace of mind...etc...im getting both cars for 12.4 lakhs, on road price...seltos htk 115ps petrol and duster rxz 85ps diesel older version...test driven both and both r good...is duster rxz a steel noting that the price is 14.4L on road with around 2 lakhs discount...or is seltos htk a far better car with 115ps and petrol having lower maintenance...which car is more stable, more refined..better ride quality n handling..etc...it would be great to get a detailed response
- Kia Seltis
- Kia Seltos
- Even I am looking for the top end GTX+ Model with all black interior. All black interior looks amazing. The Beige/black is also tough to maintain given the Indian condition/s.
- Kia has tested seltos over 20 lakh km in india. No issues at all. However if you use BS4 fuel ( Diesel) & commute in top gear ( 6th usually & rarely 5th) & also commute frequently long distance, the yellow light, shows up & you will have to take it to service center & clean / replace DPF (Diesel particulate filter) due to clogging, done free of cost. However take care, to tank up at reputed fuel outlets & keep away from adulterated pumps. Regarding your purchase, grab the seltos at the earliest, & also take 5 year extended limited warranty of 1,20,000 km. Now if you take 5 years unlimited km warranty, the cost goes up by ₹5000.
- I own a HTX IVT 1.5Petrol and my car is due for second service on 2nd December completed 5000kms . Performance is good engine does not feel underpowered at all no issues during overtaking highway performance is also good i have done a long drive from ahmedabad to delhi and back faced no issues at all & it gave a mileage 18kmpl which is good for a car of this size and i am getting a mileage of 11 - 13 in city also
- Thanks for the reply, however, still does not answer my question on engine performance after 1st or 2nd service. Would appreciate if you or a Seltos owner could share their experience.
- Does HTK variant come in Black color..
- Yes
- Do 6 airbag compulsory in all car
- Yes, all the kia cars in India are manufactured in anantapur, India. by the way it's a south Korean car company.
- F dsfds fsd fsddf
- Yes but company is Korian
- HTX GTX And GTX PLUS
- Kia
- Kia seltos
- GTX PLUS petrol has sunroof
- Only 2WD
- It is manufacturered at Anantpur in AP INDIA.
- It is same.
- Yes sure
- All versions petrol & Diesel are BS6.
- BS6
- Not sub 4 meter but all engines are BS 6 Compliant
- ARKAMYS in middle trims and BOSS in top model
- Yes
- Then its perfect
- Yes
- One more difference. The HTX desiel variant will have all 4 disk brakes, while the petrol variant will have front disk & rear drum brakes.
- Even we had that confusion my mum wanted the diesel seltos because the diesel engine was an older and reliable engine, the diesel engine doesn't heat up as much as the the petrol engine too, then another advantage is more mileage. But the petrol variant has way more power and it comes with those transmission modes in the GT line. There is a high chance of diesel cars getting faced out in a few years, so in this scenario if you have bought a diesel variant, in the future the car may lose its resale value and it would be harder to maintain. In the end, go for the petrol as we did, it's absolutely mind boggling (#faisalkhan lol)
- Diesel...Don't worry about govt policies as any registered vehicle will be allowed to complete it's full registration period , according to ministry of transport.(i think,it is 15 years for diesel cars)By the way seltos is already a BS VI standard car.
- 1.5 litres diesel variant.....
- For me, power is not an issue. I just want to know that Kia Seltos 1.5 petrol engine can run on CNG fuel ? Is there CNG fuel kit available in India to run Seltos 1.5 (tech line varients) petrol engine ?Please advise, it would be great helpful.
- Same here I don’t give a damn for power in delhi the traffic is massive so considering mileage must be good
- Yes thr is an option for fitting CNG kit for seltos and it's available in Coimbatore.
- 1) petrol version gives 14 kmpl in city & 18 on high ways & 12 kmpl in bumper to bumper traffic.2) Diesel gives 16 kmpl in city & 20 kmpl on high ways & 12 kmpl on B to B traffic3) Turbo petrol DCT gives 12 kmpl in city & 18 kmpl on high ways & 8 kmpl on B to B traffic.4) Automatics usually gives 2 to 3 kmpl less compared to their manual counterparts.
- I drive an IVT seltos, the mileage is around 8-11 in bumper to bumper traffic, with AC on and with car idling in summers when we're waiting or eating in car.. that's the least i have seen on daily basis. seltos shows you daily drive mileage.. and overall it is around 12-15 depending upon how much highway driving i do..only on the highway it is around 17-18..i would say it's smoother and efficient than the DCT, way better to drive and has got amazing power, too
- I own a diesel variant. Its around 14.5 kms in the city. And around 18.5 kms on the highway
- HI, I AM USING THE HTK MODEL SINCE 2 WEEKS AND THE SOUND SYSTEM IS VERY BAD AS THE SPEAKERS ARE FLAT AND I NEED TO CHANGE THEM.. RIGHTLY SAID BACK SPEAKERS ARE HARDLY HEARD. THE NAVIGATION CAN BE USED WITH ANDROID AUTO...I.E.. WHEN YOUR PHONE IS CONNECTED VIA USB PORT TO THE SYSTEM.HTX MUSIC SYSTEM IS ALSO SAME... AS I SAW ONE MORE HTX OWNER CHANGING THE SPEAKERS FROM THE SAME SHOP. ONLY MODELS FROM HTX+ AND ABOVE HAVE BOSE SYSTEM. :(
- I am using HTX variant and the sound system is highly disappointing. No sound in back door speakers, sound is audible only when the sound bar is set at the maximum of 45. You won’t find any demo or video of this Arkamys system fitted in Kia Seltos anywhere online. Highly disappointing. Returning the car back.
- Highly disappointed with the sound loudness... It needs to be tweeted... As rightly said u can only really hear it well once the volume is set at 45..i need to head to after market speakers now for better quality cause the current music output sucks big time.
- Can we replace steel wheels with hyper metallic alloy wheels in kia seltos htk variant
- Yes
- In HTX Plus what type of speaker is available
- Klkjlkjlkjl
- What type ogykia seltos htk plus speakers
- Gtx plus MT
- GTX +
- Does HTX come with six airbag and boss speaker system ?
- No. HTX has 2 airbags and Arkamys speakers
- Mr.Arjun,i am also confused for buying car same like u.I observe and see over OLx and CARS24 which provide direct customer selling pre owned cars. I see that most of newly cars like KIA and MG Hectors only few km run. and these are mostly AUTOMETIC Verson.I don't know the reason but customer sell out at even at cost of 15 to 20 lakhs. So,too much Research is require before buying AUTOMETIC verson
- It would be very helpfull if you tell the performance of the car as your expertise in it and is there any lag in the IVT engine?
- No
- Wrong answer
- Thank you very much. I will test drive the ivt but would have been helpful if experts like you guys could review and share the experience.
- Where can i get the test drive of 1.5 petrol model? There's no test drive of that car anywhere as told by KIA salesman.
- The following are the speaker brands of Kia Seltos variants- HTE : ArkamysHTK : ArkamysHTK+ : ArkamysHTX : ArkamysHTX+ : BoseGTK : ArkamysGTK+ : ArkamysGTX : ArkamysGTX+ : Bose
- HTX+ and GTX+ has Bose speakers. All other variants are equipped with ARKAMYS system.
- WORST !!.. don't KNOW THE MANUFACTURING COMPANY THOUGH.
- Why there are no on-road reviews about HTX IVT?
- No sunroof is in manual top
- HTE is the base variant, gives most value for money for budget buyers. Gets 2 air bags, ABS EBD, power windows, reverse sensors, BS6 engines, disc brakes on both front & rear wheels (only in diesel) waiting period is 4 to 5 months after booking with a token amount of ₹25,000 as kia doesn't make money on the base variant. you can get additional fittings like DRL, reverse camera, alloy wheels, for a few thousands. If your budget is higher, you can get the HTK or HTK plus.
- Go for HTK diesel. In HTK Version you will get roof rails , ARKAMYS 8 inch touch screen music system with 6 speakers , Projector Fog lamps , LED turn signal indicators in side mirrors , electronically adjustable ORVMs , rear view camera , DRVM camera use while driving. The only thing missing in HTK is alloy wheels and rear parcel tray. You can for HTK PLUS’s OEM kia alloy wheels at 40,000 INR and your car will look like Top Model
- Obviously HTE Diesel, as there is a mysterious extra load of Rs 90k for HTK diesel when compared to petrol.HTE Prtrol-Diesel dif. 30kHTK petrol Diesel dif. 120kNobody will explain you this 90k is asked what for??
- There is no difference
- Power
- Yes it has
- No
- Yes it has
- Yes18 +
- No there is no 360 view camera in HTX + variant
- They provide only 2 airbags in diesel top varianr no traction control no ESPNO VSo
- Diesel top model is very disappointing in concern of safety
- What about safety
- Yes it is available.
- Yeah
- Yes
- Automatic petrol version have sunroof?
- Auto petrol version not yet available
- There are two variants of Kia Seltos with sunroof. Tech line : HTX+GT line : GTX+
- SELTOS LOOKS LITTLE UPDATED WITH STYLING AND INTERIORS. AND ALSO CRETA IS 1.6 AND SELOTS 1.5. I FEEL SELTOS IS LIGHTER THAN THE CRETA WHICH IS A BAD SIGN. (QUALITY MAYBE BETTER IN CRETA AS COMPARED TO SELTOS) OWNERS OF CRETA CAN PUT SOME LIGHT ON THIS.:)
- Seltos has stylish design, more length, width & boot space, in comparison to creta though height is a few mm less than creta. Further seltos comes with BS6 Diesel & petrol engines, while creta continues with BS4 engines.
- Yes it is available
- Yes it is available.
- Not a available
- Yeah
- I) seltos is a midsized Suv, Hector is over sized suv with a substantially higher price & weak engine. Moreover the British legacy of the Hector is obsolete, it is currently owned by the Chinese. If you are a business man with lots of merchandise to carry to your shop or a joint family, go for Hector, otherwise seltos is the best choice.
- Yeah more competition is there but Kia seltos is best than MG hector because MG HECTOR uses BS4 Compliant engine and Kia seltos uses BS6 Compliant engine. After April 2020,all the vehicles will come BS6 Compliant. So Kia seltos is best.
- Kia is owned by Hyundai and has poor built quality even though the new owner's of MG is Chinese still MG has better built quality and a powerful engine
- I own a 2021 Kia Seltos 1.4TGDI DCT model. In terms of performance it's one of the best I have driven. On open roads it can easily beat the likes of Innova, Fortuner and all big guys with its sheer speed and Dual clutch just makes you zoom past other cars while they figure to get the car in right gear. Power is in its dual clutch and turbo engine. The Dual clutch is the best, it's like someone is choosing the right gear for you constantly. Features wise one of the best and the 360 camera quality is on par with high end cars. I have not driven the diesel automatic on highway but it will not be as quick as the 1.4TGDI especially with torque converter. If you enjoy driving a good car this is the best you can get, the top end petrol variant. Mileage average I got is 13kmpl with half aggressive highway and half on eco mode in city combined. I will take that anyday with the performance the car is giving. I went for top end petrol because of its performance and dual clutch which I know is drivers best friend. I didn't choose diesel because the same engine is being offered from base variant of Sonet and all the way upto top end Seltos. There is no value for money in the top variant for diesel. You can get the same engine for much less cost.
- Value for money buys1) basic variants HTE, both petrol & Diesel.2) mid variants HTK plus both petrol & Diesel.3) top variants HTX both petrol & Diesel.4) The top most variants HTX plus & GTX plus, both petrol & Diesel are the best, but not value for money.
