It's just that alcazar comes with a bigger engine of 2000cc while carens commes with a 1500cc, same one as in creta, this adds to giving more mileage in cares and also very quiet cabin, also, a small engine doesn't mean the car is laging in power..... The carens can do quite a bit of off roaring too(if you are careful enough) although what I'd miss in my carens when compared to alcazar is the projector headlamp setup that lits up the road very well ahead of your alcazar.... But on the contrary, the carens gets a halogen 50 watt setup on all its models other than the top trim where it gets an led/hid setup.... Although you could replace the halogen bulbs with an aftermarket relay an 100/120 watt bulb combo or get the osram CBI pro projector bulbs or hid bulbs from any aftermarket car accessories shop..... These were certain observations i made while buying the carens and comparing it to the alcazar in the showrooms...... Youre welcome...😁
