About Hyundai

History

Incorporated in 1996, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Company (HMC). Hyundai currently has two manufacturing plants in India, located at Irungattukottai and Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, with an annual combined production capacity of 7.65 lakh units a year. In 1998, the Korean manufacturer began manufacturing the Santro followed by its launch. The carmaker is known for its diverse product portfolio and a wide service station network. It is the second largest carmaker in the country by volume and also one of the largest exporters.

Product portfolio

Hatchbacks: Hyundai has a varied lineup of hatchbacks – right from affordable models like the Santro to sportier versions of the Grand i10 Nios and the i20.

Electric Vehicle: The Kona Electric was Hyundai’s launchpad in the Indian EV market. It rivals the MG ZS EV.

Sub-compact SUV: The Hyundai Venue represents Hyundai in the sub-4 metre SUV segment. It goes up against the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Kia Sonet.

Compact SUV: Hyundai has one of the best selling compact SUVs in its portfolio - the Hyundai Creta. It faces stiff competition from rivals like the Kia Seltos, MG Astor, and the Volkswagen Taigun.

Mid-size SUV: Hyundai offers the Tucson as a 5-seater mid-size SUV that goes head to head with the likes of the Jeep Compass. It also offers the Creta-based Hyundai Alcazar SUV available in 6 or 7 seater configurations. It rivals the likes of Tata Safari as well as the Mahindra XUV700.

Sedan: Hyundai currently has three sedan offerings for the Indian market; the sub-4 metre Hyundai Aura, the Hyundai Verna and the Hyundai Elantra.

Greatest Hits

Hyundai’s top products in India have been:

Hyundai Creta: Introduced in 2014, the Creta disrupted the compact SUV segment and quickly became one of the best selling cars in the country.

Hyundai Verna: Hyundai stepped up the game for Indian sedans with the launch of the Verna in 2006.

Hyundai Santro: One of the longest running and popular hatchbacks in the country.

Hyundai i10: One of the best compact hatchbacks from Hyundai.

Hyundai i20: A more premium hatchback offering from Hyundai, the i20 is known for its styling and features.

Future Plans:

Hyundai has stated that it plans on bringing six EVs in its Indian lineup by 2028. It already has the Kona EV on sale in India and is looking to bring a mass market EV to rival the likes of Tata Nexon EV by 2024. Apart from EVs, Hyundai is also planning to launch the mid-life refreshed versions of the Venue and the Creta as well as the new-gen Hyundai Tucson in the near future.

    Purchased New Creta Sx model

Purchased new creta sx model 2024 just couple of weeks ago.First of all the look, The looks are amazing.Be it front or back rhe car looks amazing from every angle. The inside of the car is also amazing and looks premium.Automatic climate control, Big touch screen wireless charger is good to have features.Sunroof is also a nice to have a feature but doubt that would be much of use in indian conditions. The legroom in the backseats is also very good.Ac air vent for the rear seats is there and so is charging ports which is type c.But one thing that i felt was under thigh support on rear seats on hyundai venue is much better which is lower segment car in this comparision. The boot space is very good for carrying for even 3 full size trolley bags. The one thing which i really didn't liked the seat belts are open and not within the pillars, Though seat belts come with height adjustment. The driving experience is also great and handling is amazing.Had to mention about the breaks just another day was in a situation when had to apply sudden brakes and the brakes were very responsive and had a ful control over the car.Haven't done a exact mileage test but the mid shows an average mileage of 13.3 kmpl, Which is mostly highway run.The average i guess will improve over the time after the service and more of driving experience. The throw of the head lights in the dark is amazing. The sales person was very helpful and really guided very well and provided with a very good sum of discount. As first service of car is still not due so won't be able to tell about that.

Adventure with Style, Comfort, and Innovation

With the Hyundai Creta, a fragile SUV that is raising the bar for comfort, Looks, and invention, i can review City disquisition. The Creta's internal room and melodramatic surface Design are both intended to wow. This SUV delivers an instigative and comfortable driving experience, whether i am venturing off the beaten path and speeding through metropolitan Highways. Plus, you may travel with peace of mind thanks to its Modern technology and security features. The Hyundai Creta is the ideal car if i am set to take my City adventure to the coming position.

    superior in every segment

Hyundai exter is such a mesmerising car model that has become so popular these days for its convenience and smooth operation. So many people have this car on their wishlists and so did I and that is why I went to purchase this as soon as it was launched. Its price will range between high numbers and is great besides being a bit expensive. The mileage is good and so is the ground clearance. I have got the white colour car which looks quite attractive.
