Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying BRV

Q. What is the reserve tank capacity in BR-V?
  • I think 2.5 Litres (Diesel) because I have driven it for 30 Km after orange light indication of low fuel and blink of last fuel bar was not blinking. : By Arun | 4 months ago
  • The whole fuel tank is about 36 litres don't know about the reserve fuel tank don't know even if it has one : By Israr | 1 year ago
  • It has a fuel tank capacity of 42 liters and you can expect 4-5 liters reserve fuel in the tank. : By Zigwheels | 1 year ago
Q. How is the performance - BRV?
  • Well if your talking about the diesel engine than its okay I would say mediocre well probably bad compare to creta or nexon, but if we are talking about the petrol engine then we'll the perfomance of the petrol brv is just good yes it doesn't have low end performance but you actually won't feel it because of the gear ratio you can out it in 2nd gear and drive in traffic without changing down but on highway my God the performance is brilliant 120 hp and 145 Nm @4600 rpm and rwd lines at 7600 rpm just when you get past the 4000rpm mark you feel the acceleration and brilliance of the 1.5 vtec engine in the brv and 0-100 kmh takes place in 10.8 seconds it's slightly slower than Honda city because brv is a bit heavier, ride and handling is good specially high speed stability is awesome even at high speed of 150 kmh the car feels planted handling is good for the size of the car bodyroll is their but very well contained, most people would say it doesn't have pickup but it does but at the top end you have to take it upto 4500 rpm and you'll enjoy the car and when carrying 8 passengers it still has good amount of pickup I have actually tester 0-100 kmh while having 7 passengers in the car and it did it in 11. 7 seconds, so perfomance is good but some people prefer Hyundai 1.6 diesel and can't blame them because 1.6 has good low end but okaish top end : By Israr | 10 months ago
  • I own a CVT, most people say it's like jagjit Singh, but that isn't true, I have seen 0-100 in 11 secs or less in D mode. S mode is fun only when you get used to it, it isn't sluggish at all, it all depends on the driver and how well you know your car. Overall satisfactory on Indian roads and traffic conditions. I do Bangalore to Mangalore a lot and I can say it performs well. If you are an enthusiast I would say I have given XC40 a run for it's money : By Utham | 10 months ago
  • The performance is better than my earlier vehicle. My earlier car was esteem. It was giving 12 within the city. BRV is giving 13 within the city. In terms Security aspects, it is very secure and technology has been used very effeciently. : By Shivaramakrishnan | 10 months ago
Q. Does BRV has hill-start assist?
  • Not sure, haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. But the manual for CVT says that the car doesn't roll back for few seconds which I think is the same feature and it is true as per my experience : By Utham | 5 months ago
  • Yes It has Hill Start Assist. : By Aseem | 3 days ago
  • No, it misses out on hill assist feature. : By Zigwheels | 1 year ago
Q. I'm planning to buy BRV petrol top model as we r 6 family members. Is it a good buy and hows its off road experience?
  • Well it's not exactly a Suv which can go off roading but I have taken it to some bad roads in ooty and some worst roads in Hyderabad outskirts and I was impressed I think it's because it has more ground clearance than duster and creta thats why it good at tackling bad roads and I have taken 8 members of my family in that car for about 1200km journey and it was decently comfortable and we all are healthy so for 6 people brv will be more than enough for your family and main advantage of brv is its really fun to drive its handling is really great for Suv or mpv whatever you like to call it and acceleration from 1.5-litre vtec engine is really good 0-100 kmh in 10.12 which is same as Hyundai creta and even Honda crv diesel so... Brv is really good car for family and for some fun on the road : By Israr | 9 months ago
  • You will never regret after buying BRV. I owe this car and I m using this car from past 3 years. I never found such issue regarding this vehicle...Go for it : By Rishabh | 9 months ago
  • Yes, it's perfect vehicle for 6 to 7 people. : By Abdul | 9 months ago
Q. Please advise how is this car, in terms of Mileage, safety, style, maintenance and road grip - BRV?
  • The BR-V has got the basics right. It has seven seats, rides well and has proven engines. However, that's where the good bits end. The BR-V's ride is forgiving and absorbs most of the undulations our roads will ever throw at it. It is stiffly sprung, but not up to the point where the ride becomes jarring. At low speeds, the 210mm of ground clearance and the India-friendly suspension dismiss the potholes and broken roads without a hiccup. The ride is slightly bouncy at the second and third row but is tolerable for shorter journeys. The diesel engine is amongst the most fuel-efficient engines of the lot. The ARAI-rated mileage stands at 21.9km/l. In terms of safety features, the car gets dual front airbags as standard while ABS is available in all the variants except the base trim.Other safety features that are spread across the variants include a driver seatbelt reminder, security alarm and impact sensing door unlock. Honda is really very good when it comes to maintenance and steering feel is very good and although tires offer average road grip, the car is capable to hold on its own. : By Zigwheels | 1 year ago
  • Honda brv car system not good. : By BINA | 4 months ago
