Sept 02, 2016 : According to BimmerToday, the final Z4 rolled out of the factory floor on August 22, 2016. Rumours about its replacement have been doing the rounds of the Internet for quite a while now. It gained further momentum when BMW collaborated with Japanese carmaker Toyota. Both automotive brands are planning to develop the next-gen sports cars for their stable. The successor to the Z4 will allegedly share its underpinnings with the much-awaited Toyota Supra. While we hope that the Z4 replacement will have the same design recipe of a long-bonnet and a short deck, the Supra could very well be based on the stunning F1-concept that the Japanese firm revealed some time ago

The BMW Z4 Roadster comes at an asking price of Rs 81.80 - 82.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and as the name indicates, the distinctive feature of Z4 is its soft-top configuration. Long bonnet and short rear further add to the style while the seats placed near the real Excel provide an excellent feel of the road to the driver. Inside the cabin, the Z4’s features include BMW connected app, dual-tone interiors, park distance control, navigation system professional, electric power steering, and brake-energy regeneration. The BMW Z4 Roadster comes powered by 3.0-liter V6 twin turbo petrol engine capable of putting out 306 bhp along with 400 Nm, mated to a 7- speed dual clutch transmission breaching 0-100 kmph in 5.1 seconds while delivering fuel-efficiency of 10.37 kmpl. In the Indian market, the BMW Z4 is competing against the likes of Audi R8, Bugatti Veyron, Audi TT, Ford Mustang, and Mercedes Benz SLC among others.
