Both are good bikes and similar. Hornet is lower priced. Yamaha's braking is better. Hornet is more powerful. The biggest problem with fzs is during rainy season mud will splash in the legs of the pillion rider due to poor rear design.

Both bike are in same price,and about to choose you,if you wants good looking and power then you should go on for fzs v3,bt if you wants mileage lower price and avg looking then you should go for hornet 160R depends on you

I also had the similar confusion. specs are almost same. but when I saw the pillion seat comfort , there was a huge difference between the two and went for FZS FI V3 ,and no regrets at all

I have both the bikes . I will prefer you hornet because the low end performance in fzs is very lagby and you might face problem in traffic . But in term of comfort fzs is clear winner

Both r good bike.. But you will understand the difference when u cross more than 100 speed.. Go for hornet.. You will get more stability, breaking capacity and comfortable..

I also a Hornet owner getting 45-47km/lt. Honda's engine is much refined. I ride most of time proper Kolkata. Close your eyes and go ahead for Hornet 160.

More pick up and power Honda is good but it won't have the same comfort as FZS FI V3.0 can give you. Also the higher the CC less the milage.
