TVS being actively associated with racing in India. From its immense learnings from the track have incorporated it in its Apache series of bikes - the latest of them being the RR 310. In terms of performance, the bike draws power from a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that puts out 34PS at 9700rpm and 27.3Nm of torque at 7700 rpm. You need to learn how to position yourself while driving this bike.. you cant drive this bike unless you understand its dynamics.. once you understood you can go up to 300-400 Kms in a day without any hussle.( I DID Many Times) If someones seating position is not right even 50km will give sever pain and numb palms .. This is Solo tourer sports bike.. if you just need tourer bike..go for Dominar.. I need both so chosen this bike..as I do go on long rides but majority of time I enjoy sporty ride in streets :) there is an article on TVS site on learning how to drive this bike that will really help u to take this bike on long rides.

  • Q. I am concerned about the vibrations which many owners are reporting. Has it been fixed by TVS - Apache RR 310?

The motor feels almost vibe-free between 3000rpm to 4000rpm, and this is good because you will find yourself in that rev range for most city riding conditions. However, rev it harder and the vibes start creeping on to the handlebars and foot pegs. The bit that really puts you off is the surge of vibrations felt on the seat between the 6000rpm to 7000rpm mark. Otherwise, the vibrations felt on the handlebars and pegs at high speeds is something you can expect from the RR 310 as standard.

  • Q. I am 15 years old going to turn 16 Only using for college purpose, am I capable of handling this biike - Apache RR 310?

First of all kid, you're still 15 and you are not eligible to have a motorcycle license so better keep yourself to a bicycle. You can drive a motorcycle after you turn 18 and you acquire a proper motorcycle license. And this is for the fellow riders who suggested this kid that he can handle the bike, you people forget that he's a kid. Do not encourage kids to do something they should not do for their age and out of the rules. And kid, stay away from motorcycles for now because you might be behind bars for violating the rules and you might get into a serious accident if you do such things.

  • Q. Apache RR 310 and KTM 390 cc, which is better for performance?
    Rahul
    Rahul | 6 months ago

Rr310 is an all around bike with enough power and looks along with ride confort and less aggressive sitting position. If you are asking for duke 390, it is also a good and powerful bike but it lacks the sporty look, going with rc390 will add that but the sitting position is aggressive and not comfortable for long rides. Both duke and rc are slightly more powerful than rr310, but as i said it is all around bike.

  • Q. What is the maintenance cost for Apache RR 310 and I heard that chain problem is there in RR310.
    Ralte
    Ralte | 10 months ago

For the first free servicing i've spend around one thousand rupees, oil changed, etc. Until now i don't have any kind of problem whatsoever except for the fact that the RHS pilot lamp is not working since its around a month old. Its definitely a manufacturing defect, but didn't get any replacements or warranty news from the dealers, even though i've reported it way back. Chains, i've cleaned it regularly myself, no probs till now. I've done around 1600 kms, up and downhill everyday.

  • Q. Is the braking good for high speed, does the bike stops quickly at high spèed - Apache RR 310?
    SAI
    SAI | 8 months ago

Apache RR310 has dual channel ABS and the brakes are very good except they lack the initial bite. The Bybre brakes offer good feedback and you can be pretty confident at triple digit speeds also. However, disk brakes need more care than the regular drum brakes. You need to make sure to check the brake pads every few thousand kilometers as they tend to wear quickly when compared to the traditional drum brake setup. The brake pads on the Apache RR310 are also costly so keep these things in mind.
