It is quite a good bike. Apart from the engine, the bike is a different experience altogether, and has a character of its own.The 350 varient weights as much as the standard 500,but amazing performs better than classic 350. Might be a little demanding in raining conditions, but all together the bike stands very much apart in the RE stable . A very cool bike: exudes manliness in a very classy way.

Dominar is a sureshot winner. Highway cruising, city riding, pillion seat comfort, performance, maintenance costs...It beats RE in every single department, practically. And I can vouch for this, coz I've ridden my TB350 all over the country, and clocked over 40k kms.

  • Q. I want to ask which is the best bike for daily 60km ride daily? Confused between a Thunderbird and Avenger 220. The issue is I found a lot of vibrations in Tthunderbird any other suggestion is welcome.

Yes . I have mentioned in my earlier answer, it has a heavy vibration while on ride above 80 kmph and also when go for long drive of more than 100 + km distance , ur shoulders would start getting pain . Also more kms ride , the more pain u receive. So choose ur choice . Still I’m riding my TB 350 for past 3 yrs . But no long drive . I have had enough.

  • Q. When they say Thunderbird gives a Power of 20.07PS@5250, what does this RPM mean? Is it engine shaft, wheel sprocket or wheel ( RIM) RPM ?Actually I want to know wheel sprocket RPM. Can someone pls help?

RPM is Revolution Per Minute , which means the engine rotation as per you give throttle more and more , it’s gives you the more speed and more fuel consumption while the wheels are spinning. When you are running the machine of 350 CC bike , you will have the more pickup and more engine rotation which can cause the smooth and hard working conditions. This is my definition as per my knowledge. If there are some errors in my answer , pls apologize me . THanks for reading .

  • Q. Is Thunderbird suitable for daily travel of 40 kms?

Yes it is If u have an issue with heavy motorcycles,it might be a problem (still u won't feel the weight once the bike gets moving). If not,the upright riding position with ample torque makes the motorcycle an ample tourer without taking a toll on you.

  • Q. I like Thunderbird 350 and have also taken a test of Jawa 42. A bit confused after taking the test drive of Jawa42. It is also a smooth and powerful bike. Technically advanced also. which one to buy considering technical features, durability, mileage and maintenance? Please advise. Jawa's handling is also great. Runs smooth and looks better. But please give an expert opinion on what to buy.

A per the performance and cool looks, Jawa 42 is the good option as it generates a 27.37 PS power and 28 Nm of peak torque with a new retro-look whereas Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 is a well-known name in the tribe of laidback cruisers in India. It offers a comfortable riding position, a commanding road presence. It would be too early to give any verdict on the durability of Jawa 42 as there is a long waiting and will start the deliveries next year around February 2020. So, if you can wait than Jawa 42 will be the good choice to buy but if you need a bike now than you can go with Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350. We'd suggest you take the test ride of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 as well so that you can understand the difference between the options which will help you to make a final decision for your purchase - Bike Dealer

For the one driving and for pillion as well then thunderbird x350 but is a little underpowered or go for Jawa42 dual channel abs will cost around 2.Lakhs but the issue is of service centre and the same for thunderbird 500x is around 2.50L both offers same power but do take a test drive or the best dominar400 but maintain the bike as it may give wiring issue if in the effect of rodents (take a test drive)-my preference!
