To be precise the mileage is somewhat between 40-45 kmpl , talking about comfort You can go for long rides and cruise around in the highway. No problem with the Performance wise. Its pretty good if you are looking for a cruiser. But yes, there is vibration at high rpm U know royal enfield has that thing in their bikes...

I have completed 2200 kms in my Tiago diesel. Mileage is 25 kms plus. Eide quality and engine performance is very good and the mileage makes me very happy. Silent Diesel engine is a plus point. I have changed engine oil twice in 2000 kms.

  • Q. How good is Thunderbird Bike ?
    Athul
    Athul | 2 months ago

It is quite a good bike. Apart from the engine, the bike is a different experience altogether, and has a character of its own.The 350 varient weights as much as the standard 500,but amazing performs better than classic 350. Might be a little demanding in raining conditions, but all together the bike stands very much apart in the RE stable . A very cool bike: exudes manliness in a very classy way.

Dominar is a sureshot winner. Highway cruising, city riding, pillion seat comfort, performance, maintenance costs...It beats RE in every single department, practically. And I can vouch for this, coz I've ridden my TB350 all over the country, and clocked over 40k kms.

To be honestly there is no comparison between the two bikes but in terms of seating comfort its obviously RE thunderbird, but yes there are too much vibration, & not sure whether I can be called high in maintenance, its moderate....

  • Q. When they say Thunderbird gives a Power of 20.07PS@5250, what does this RPM mean? Is it engine shaft, wheel sprocket or wheel ( RIM) RPM ?Actually I want to know wheel sprocket RPM. Can someone pls help?
    Moorthy
    Moorthy | 4 months ago

RPM is Revolution Per Minute , which means the engine rotation as per you give throttle more and more , it’s gives you the more speed and more fuel consumption while the wheels are spinning. When you are running the machine of 350 CC bike , you will have the more pickup and more engine rotation which can cause the smooth and hard working conditions. This is my definition as per my knowledge. If there are some errors in my answer , pls apologize me . THanks for reading .

It has one of the best seating posture among the current indian bikes. But its "X" edition has a little upright posture which is not ideally suitable for long rides.

I've used it for 700km+ rides...If your cruise speed is 70-80, then this bike is ideal....Although vibrations tend to take a toll on the body...

  • Q. Is Thunderbird suitable for daily travel of 40 kms?
    Athul
    Athul | 10 months ago

Yes it is If u have an issue with heavy motorcycles,it might be a problem (still u won't feel the weight once the bike gets moving). If not,the upright riding position with ample torque makes the motorcycle an ample tourer without taking a toll on you.

  • Q. L am looking for a bike, should give rider and pillion a great comfort, best in city rides traffic jams and little offroad. My preffered brand Royal Enfield, Bajaj, Hero and TVS please give me a suggestion! - Thunderbird 350?

    Pritam | 2 months ago

For the one driving and for pillion as well then thunderbird x350 but is a little underpowered or go for Jawa42 dual channel abs will cost around 2.Lakhs but the issue is of service centre and the same for thunderbird 500x is around 2.50L both offers same power but do take a test drive or the best dominar400 but maintain the bike as it may give wiring issue if in the effect of rodents (take a test drive)-my preference!

Bajaj Dominar is the best for City & highway... Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 & TVS Apache also... first take test drive then decide... first take test drive of Dominar then TVS and last RE.... ROYAL Enfield Thunderbird and Dominar TVS are different segments but you will see the difference... this are my personal suggestions.... you can go with you personal choice.... take test drive...
