If you’re keen on owning a fun packed 150cc scooter then the Aprilia SR 150 is the one to go for. Fuel efficiency, refinement and ride quality isn’t the Aprilia’s forte, but it’s a hoot around corners and has a fun element associated with it. Its ARAI claimed mileage is 37 kmpl. Rest it all depends on your riding style and how you maintain it.

  • Q. Is the race edition of the SR 150 is more fuel economical that the standard one as the ARAI claimed mileage for the SR150 race is 43 kmpl?

Aprilia SR 150 standard and Race edition both are same if you exclude the stickering and slight initial pick up...Mileage wise do not expect anywhere more than 30-35 kmpl depending on how you throttle it...

  • Q. Is the braking good enough - SR 150?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

It is integrated with Disc brake in front wheel and drum break in rear wheel which offers efficient breaking. The 220mm front disc and 240mm rear drum brakes offer good bite, while offering a sure footed feel, along with ample retardation. Under test, the scooter decelerated from 60-0kmph in 2.59 seconds covering a distance of 18.72 metres which is astonishing for a scooter. It misses out on a brake lock for the rear brake too, though it does get a pass switch for the headlights, something most scooters miss out on. • Q. Hello, Is SR 150 Race model good for climbing ghat road section with a pillion and small kid? Let's say to ooty or kodaikanal. How good is the pulling power in this scooter to ascend the hair pin bends of ooty or similiar hill stations with two people (one is 65 kgs and another is around 50 kgs, Kid around 10 kgs)?

Absolutely no issues for Hill Climbing (Ghat Sections). Very Easy and Good power. But i would suggest have a Test Ride before finalizing on the SR150 with your Wife and Kid this will help you understand the Hard/Stiff suspension if its ok for you...

  • Q. I want to go for a long tour from my Aprilia 150, so how much km can Aprilia run without giving rest - SR 150?
    Walter
    Walter | 3 weeks ago

Its a forced air cooled Engine. so do not stress is for more than 1 and half hours of a continuous drive...it may go upto 200-250kms without any problems but later the wear and tear of the engine would be increased...

Aprilia 150.. No arguments with that.. Bigger tyre size accounts to ride quality and brakes are efficient with disc at front..go for aprilia and don't invest on toys.
