  • Q. How is this bike - CBR250R?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

Honda CBR250R is powered by a 249.60cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that can produce a max power of 26.5PS @ 8500rpm and a peak torque of 22.9Nm @ 7000rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It comes with optional dual-channel ABS, new graphics, updated styling, and cavailable in 4 color schemes i.e. Matte Axis Gray Metallic with Mars Orange, Sports Red, Matte Axis Gray Metallic with Striking Green and Pearl Sports Yellow. Priced in the range of Rs. 1.64 - 1.94 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi), it is packed with features like LED headlamp, sporty cowl, racing muffler, split seat, and grab rail. Topping the list of features is a futuristic digital console that includes an odometer, clock, fuel gauge, ABS light and service reminder. The Honda CBR250R is now Rs 13,000 costlier than the earlier STD version and Rs 16,000 costlier than the earlier ABS variant. With just the addition of LED lights as the only major change, the hike in prices is not really justified. Add to that the lack of power and torque in comparison to its closest competitor the Apache RR 310, which is a lot more potent. Be it the track, highways or running around in the urban jungle. The CBR250R is otherwise a fair bet to opt for, offering enough pep to keep you thrilled. It’s also got commendable highway and city cruising dynamics, which should make it a good everyday motorcycle. Especially with the more relaxed ergonomics, unlike the KTM RC 200.

  • Q. Which is the best powerful bike KTM RC 200 or CBR250R?
    Soumo
    Soumo | 5 months ago

Depends on what you want to do with the bike. How much of the power on paper can you really use. The bike will always be much more capable than you can push it. So define your ride style, needs, scenarios and what are your limits. Then comes the bike. BTW, KTM and CBR are two very different bikes, not to be compared headon.

  • Q. How's the pulling power of CBR 250 R in hills with rider and pillion with a luggage, consider total weight to be around 140 kgs?

I have ridden my 2018/19 CBR250R to Ooty and chickamagalur hilly terrains with pillion and Rynox saddle bags comfortably. Ridder weight - 75 kgsPillion weight - 50 kgs We rode uphill to ooty through hairpin bends comfortably. I did feel the necessity of ample torque at lower RPMs when I got stuck behind a Honda Amaze in a steep curve. With CBR250R you get ample torque only after 4k-4.5k RPMS.The curve was too steep mostly at 45 to 50% degrees. The car driver was new to hilly terrains and got tensed when his car did nt pickup with four passengers on board. I had almost reached the peak of the uphill road and had to stop due the car upfront and I had to downshift and put it to neutral as car was blocking my way. After finding a way to get out, My Bike did not pick up from 1st gear with the pillion. I did n’t wanted to risk of throttling more to reach 4K RPMs to gain the required torque to move out. The bike felt like suffocating !! I asked my pillion to step down and it picked up easily. Please advise me if you guys feel I could have done better to pick up …

  • Q. Between CBR250R and YZF R15, Which bike is better to go on occasional drive with wife?
    Soumo
    Soumo | 7 months ago

CBR 250R is a 250 cc bike which is configured for semi-committed stance and the BEST PILLION comfort. R15 has more committed stance which will put stress on wrist and shoulders on long rides. Ride them both with the pillion and then decide.

  • Q. Is it worth buying CBR250R in 2019?

Its totally worth spending for quality over quantity.. I have just booked one after a lengthy brain storming between Duke 390, Dominar 2019 & Mojo ABS.. Also rented out all these bikes for a day at least to ride them and get a feel.. Banged up CBR 250R in wicked rides which was vibrating like some bad old dominars .. was so much pleasure riding and zero stress .. all these bikes I have clocked 100-150 kms in a day..Tried each bike one at a time every weekend.. I loved CBR 250R riding posture (weight distributed well on foot, b**t & arms - less fatigue) , Engine humm when you revv it .. the way it keeps you planted on the road with right amount of feedback.. totally worth it.. Yeah I felt old tech and old model investment in 2019.. then I have thought about "The Bullet" RE fans investment.. that point gone puff out my mind..CBR 250R is totally worth it even in 2019

  • Q. Is the CBR 250R be used for daily commute in city traffic and also for highway and Does the seating posture on the bike gives any back and wrist pain?
    Satyam
    Satyam | 11 months ago

CBR 250R has great build up look and seating posture. You are surprised when you took the test drive of this bike. The seating posture is not too lengthy as compared to other bikes like KTM RC 200 and TVS APACHE RR 310. The seating posture looks uncomfortable but it's not. You can sit and travel in city or highway both comfortably. I hope my answer is useful to you.
