TVS Apache RTR 160 doesn’t feel as confident under hard braking as the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 or the Honda Hornet. That said, the Apache RTR 160 4V is not only the most refined RTR we have ridden till date but also one of the most refined 160cc motorcycles to be ever produced in India. On the other hand, in the form of the CB Hornet 160R, Honda now has a competitive offering in the premium 160cc motorcycle segment. It looks the part with its sporty styling and chiselled lines. Performance of the motorcycle is also admirable with respect to its rivals and it offers decent fuel efficiency as well. It seems that Honda have got it right the third time around.

  • Q. Latest version of CB Hornet 160R ABS DLX has single channel abs or dual channel abs? And if we compare the braking system of hornet with Gixxer ABS then which one is better? Please suggest.

    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

Honda CB Hornet 160R and Suzuki Gixxer both comes with single channel ABS. If we talk about braking, Braking performance of the Hornet 160R is impressive with good bite and feedback while the ABS is a useful addition. On the other hand, the Gixxer has always felt lacking is brake feel. The front brake lever is quite spongy, with a lot of travel before braking starts. Thankfully though, braking distances are perfectly acceptable, with the little Suzuki pulling to a halt from 80kmph in 36.90 metres. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride in order to clear your all doubts. Click on the given link to get your nearest dealership details: https://www.zigwheels.com/bikes/dealers

    Pritam

Service cost is same as the other Hornet models. You just have to pay the engine oil price in the first three free service, later you have to pay the service charge which is around 300-500. And you have any breaking issues further you have pay the cost of repairing separately. And ABS breaking system cost is little higher than other models.
