  • Q. What is ABS - Pulsar 220 F?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 3 months ago

ABS or Antilock Braking System is a safety feature which helps the rider to get better control over the vehicle in emergency braking situations. Generally, when a brake is applied in a vehicle without ABS, the wheels get jammed which result in skidding of the vehicle which leads to an accident. In a vehicle with ABS the breaks are connected to a smart electronic unit. When the brakes are applied in the panic situation the electronic unit gets signals from the drive to apply brakes on the wheels but the brakes are applied in smaller time intervals with very fast velocity to bring down the vehicle speed. This helps the vehicle not to skill and rather be controlled by the rider in an emergency situation to steer the right way.

Auto An anti-lock braking system (ABS) is a safety anti-skid braking system used on aircraft and on land vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles, trucks, and buses. ABS operates by preventing the wheels from locking up during braking, thereby maintaining tractive contact with the road surface.

  • Q. How is the braking system of 220?Please tell me.
    Sumit
    Sumit | 1 year ago

Front breaks are too good. If you do not use bike often then rear brakes may loose the grip/air and it will act like ordinary drum brakes. This become frustrating because one starts to loose confidence. Both are disc brakes and you do not need to change disk pads so often. ABS (electronic and manual were not available at least till 2017 so I am not sure Bajaj has sourced ABS in new gen 220 bikes.)

It's well balanced breaking when u k of how to use it... I personally use like 60% back break and 40% front break which works really good even on a emergency fast breaking
