Owning and riding multiple motorcycles is a luxury that few can afford and even fewer can truly enjoy. If the Himalayan is on your shopping list, it’s quite likely that it’s going to be your only motorcycle. And as an only motorcycle, it’s as close to perfect as you can get in this price range -- or even a few rungs higher, for that matter. This really is the Swiss Army Knife of motorcycles -- a capable, versatile, one-size-fits-all motorcycle. Need something to ferry you to the office and back? No problem. Want to cruise the highways on weekends? It’ll do it all day and all night long. It’ll even keep you entertained on the twisty bits of tarmac you’ll find on the way. Short of hooning about on track, this is the one motorcycle that’ll do pretty much any and everything you ask of it, without protest or complaint. Thankfully, even when viewed in isolation, the Himalayan BS6 is a well-rounded package which is now just that little bit better than before. It’s a nice motorcycle to tour the country on, and even if you don’t actually do so, it makes you look like the sort of person who does so with regularity. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.

Yes the majority of the faults are fixed or there’s a workaround. Steering head bearing are still a concern but Hitchcocks uk have a quality bearing replacement part available to order on line.

  • Adventures with My Royal Enfield Himalayan

The Royal Enfield Himalayan has been my faithful companion on many adventures since the day I bought it. Designed for both the highways and the hilly terrains it has lived up to its name. The 411cc engine provides enough power (24.3 bhp and 32 Nm of torque) to tackle almost any road or lack thereof. Its average fuel efficiency of around 30 kmpl strikes a good balance between performance and economy. What impresses me the most is its off road capabilities coupled with comfort. Whether it has a long highway stretch or an unpaved mountain path the Himalayan takes it on with ease.

  • Adventure Companion: Royal Enfield Himalayan

After months of waiting I finally got my hands on the Royal Enfield Himalayan. It has been a year of riding through cityscapes and rugged terrains and here is my long term user perspective. The Himalayan with its 411cc engine, delivering 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm of torque is a beast on the roads and a reliable partner off them. Its suspension and seat comfort stand out making long rides a breeze. However it is not without its down points. The weight (199 kg) can be a bit much to handle for new riders specially in city traffic.

Royal Enfield Himalayan is such a marvellous bike model that has become so popular these days for its convenience and smooth operation. So many people have this bike on their wishlists and so did I and that is why I went to purchase this as soon as it was launched. Its price will range between high numbers and is great besides being a bit expensive. The mileage is good and so is the ground clearance. I have got the jet black colour bike which looks quite attractive.
