I don't know about rc390 but I can tell you about ninja 300 because I own one. Firstly we can talk about price Ninja 300 costs 2.98 lks Ex-showroom and on road it will come around 3.9 in bangalore. So the price difference is around 60 to 70k more than rc390. Then the servicing costs almost 6000 for Ninja and I am sure rc390 costs lesser in maintenance. But recently ninja spare parts are now available in India so spare costs has been reduced remarkably down. Now we can talk about technical specs ninja 300 is parellel twin 296cc engine which produces 39bhp power and 27nm torque at 11000rpm and now it comes with dual channel abs.rc390 have 373 cc single cylinder which produces 43hp power. Initial torque is less in ninja compared to rc390 but when it goes past over 7000rpm it gets it becomes a screamer and sounds like jet engine. In city driving also its very easy to menuver. It gives feeling of big super bike. In 300cc segment ninja is king according to me. Since its prices are reduced it became more affordable. Braking is also good before it was having nissin caliper brakes now it comes with endurance brakes. Both bikes are good in their own ways. But we need to compare right bikes in right segment. For Ninja 300 truly it's competitors are r3, bennelli300, tvs rr310. I have test driven them but after you test drive you will realise which bike suits you best. Then go for don't listen anyone.

If you have budget issue then you can choose RC390 but if budget is not an issue then you can choose Ninja 400

RC 390 is specifically Racing Machine, too much committed and raw power. Ninja is subtle.

Excellent bike to ride, Need some time to fit in for me as i use to ride deo and passion. It was not scary as such but i was very cautious at the beginning but soon realized the bike is very friendly and forgiving in low to mid rpms.Definitely a head-turner.I have not yet fitted any custom exhaust, Still, It just brings a positive smile.Doesn't seems much but has a good torquey engine.I cruise at around 50kmph @3500-4000rpm in 5th gear, With no issues with the engine (heating or knocking).People say that the ground clearance is an issue, But i never had any scraping even on some old bumpy roads in kolkata.Service cost is a bit too pricey, I agree, But in the end, The smile on your face costs a little more than the extra 4-5k you are paying for the service.

Spares are very costly besides features are very less compared to new edge bikes.Performance and handling is too good.Twin cylinder smoothness is unmatched which is the only reason to still keep this bike with you.
