• Q. Is it ok to go on high speed on interceptor before 1st service

    It is advised not to ride at higher speeds before the first service or a certain amount of time as the engine takes time to get accustomed. The newly formed pistons and bore aren't at the best and require some time to smoothened out. Also, it is advised to ride the bike at lower RPMs. Doing so would result in better overall performance of the bike and better fuel efficiency returns.

    Myself i drove my INT 650 within 100 km/hr till 5000 km. I trust the engine should be seasoned in gradual way. May be conventional method. But my engine is refined compared with other INT 650

    I would recommend you stay at or below 4000 rpm, but don't lug the engine either. Between 2000 and 4000 is the limit. 4000 rpm means around 60 mph.
