  • Q. I am planing to upgrade my motorcycle from 150cc to 300cc and as an job holder my usage come 80% in city riding in medium traffic conditions in Hyderabad and 20% will be touring. I am confused in 3 bikes, new Gixxer 250, CB 300R, Interceptor 650. Which one would be great for me and my height is about 5’6”. In lower maintenance great value for money which would be the best for me - CB300R?

I am renting out the interceptor this weekend to see how it handles in Bangalore traffic. though i don't want to ride a 650cc twins in everyday traffic so not leaning towards that. Gixxer SF250 i will take test ride this weekend because many people said that its an under rated bike. If they had given a USD Fork, Dohc, slipper clutch, liquid cooled, etc i might have liked it more. any way let's see after this weekend. I am also taking RR310 for rent, just its pillion seat is what i miss

Honda cb300r is very easy to manoeuvre as it's a naked bike, mileage is fine if you know the shift in gear according to the speed . And service part, if you are in the vicinity of 22 Honda Wing service stations . But I would not suggest Interceptor 650...so the engine capacity so the mileage ... In the mid-sized segments better than RE 350...

Go for Honda CB300R, lowest maintenance cost, low spare parts cost, I am 5 feet 3 inch and driving this bike since one year, amazing flickability in city, low engine heat .
