In this price range, Dominar is the best of its class. For the price, u get the best power and comfort. Unlike RR310 or Duke 390 where the heat from the engine burn your leg and will come up to our mainstream that will ruin our future generations, Dominar's engine does not heat up in traffic. You can even wear short and ride Dominar in cities. It's a great value for money bike. And for long ride, it's amazing. If you raise the height of handlebar a little, then it's one of the best comfortable bikes on the road. But then again there are some drawbacks. But those are something thst we can get used to. Like the turning radius. Taking a U turn in cities is very difficult. You will feel like you are riding some big bike like Harley and all. I mean in terms of the turning radius. And it's very heavy.

What is your budget mate? There are a number of tourers in the market but nothing comes closer than a dominar under 2 lakhs for a 400cc bike. Yes go ahead and buy and then like me upgrade to a Kawasaki Versys 650 cc.

Depends on your budget. within 2.5 lac it is best. but if your budget is 3 lac than go for duke 390 or interceptor 650.

I basically use the bike for touring and commuting between Pune and my home town, UDWADA, GUJARAT distance 333kms one way. Have not done a lot of milage on it as I had to go through an open heart bye-pass last year. I personally maintain this bike as I had a bad experience with the Bajaj service as they charged me for oil replacement but did not put the required one litre of oil. I rode down towards Lonavla and found difficulty in downshifting. I did not find the oil in Lonavla so took the train back to Pune bought the oil, very little oil came out from the drain, put fresh oil and the bike was as good as new. After that I have replaced the oil, filters and now at the 10,000 km mark will again change the oil, filters and the spark plugs. But overall I am very happy with the bike.
