I am using it for the last 1 year and I am happy about the performance of the bike. I am getting a milage of about 53 when maintaining speeds of 50-60. Engine feels silent till 55KMPH speed and from 56-75KMPH speed you can hear a sporty exhaust. after that engine is a little bit noisy. But even at speed of 105 I am not able to feel any vibrations in hand or at footpegs. Braking could have been better. Ride comfort is also good but not the best and this entirely depends on your height and your seating position. Before buying you go for a test drive or ask a friend and ride the vehicle for about 100KMS. You will know whether the ride is comfortable or not

The Honda CB Hornet 160R is powered by the same motor seen on the Honda Unicorn 160 but the powerplant has been tweaked to extract more power, 1.9PS more to be precise. The 162.7cc air-cooled motor churns out 15.9PS of max power and peak torque of 14.8Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel by a 5-speed gearbox. The Honda CB Hornet 160R employs a diamond-type frame with telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by petal disc brakes along with the option of CBS (Combined Braking System), which engages the front with some pressure, once the rear brake is applied. In the form of the CB Hornet 160R, Honda now has a competitive offering in the premium 160cc motorcycle segment. It looks the part with its sporty styling and chiselled lines. Performance of the motorcycle is also admirable with respect to its rivals and it offers decent fuel efficiency as well. It seems that Honda have got it right the third time around.

The bike is good at performance. The engine redlines easily which allows you to use the power available with ease. After 6,500rpm the engine hum changes to a grunt which encourages you to redline in every gear. The 162.71cc engine delivers 15.7bhp at a slightly higher 8,500rpm, the peak torque is 14.76Nm which is delivered at 6,500rpm. The five-speed gearbox does its duty smoothly and didn't fumble once during those five kilometres for which we rode the bike. Ride quality is firm and handling commendable, but it was too brief a ride to really put the Hornet through its paces.

Quite satisfactory. Little rough at low rpm but between 4k to 7k it pulls effortlessly. Very light in handling. You can manoeuvre it easily in dense traffic. You can ride it around 80 kmph all day long. Though engine heats a bit but it doesn't affect performance. 40-45 kmpl can be achieved at 4k to 4.5k rpm that is around 55 to 60kmph

Performance is good but I'm little disappointed with the pick up .. overall running is good .. At 68Kmph you'll hear the valve sound rising at where you will throttle ... overall it's a good one for city ride .. it struggles little at terrain area . .

Maintenance cost is less than Yamaha Fzs and pulsar too but i don't know much about the maintainance cost of Gixxer and Apache. So ask some local people or at any showroom garaze where other person are present with their bikes๐Ÿ™‚
