Q. I currently own a Aprillia SR150 for 1 and half years clocked 7.5k km so far, I have plans to give this to mom and get a bike so confused between Suzuki Gixxer 250 vs CBR250R ABS models as Honda price is too costly on road its 2.27 L in Chennai and Coimbatore its 2.30 and it may discontinue anytime said dealers so I'm confused Gixxer cost 1.80 on road Chennai and 2.00L Coimbatore. So will Gixxer and CBR offer pillion comfort and rider comfort in city and highway. I drive 70% city and 30% highway expected mileage is 32kmpl. I plan to keep the bike for next 5 years should I go for those 250s will they feel underpowered after some years or it will be sufficient or should I go for interceptor?

CBR 250 has less takers now mainly because of being over-priced and a dated design no major changes....Bike is stable at high speeds but being on the heavier side it becomes tiring to move around in stop and go traffic...whereas Suzuki Gixxer offers good mileage as well as new looks and light weight causing easy ride for daily commute. But i would rather suggest you may go for a test ride and then decide on your own.

Honda cbr 250 has a much refined engine. It is better than the Gixxer any day and will give you a good mileage with remarkable servicing.Honda Any day.Honda bikes even last long and they give a better milage for city rides.Just opt for CBR it'll never disappoint and by the way CBR will never be discontinued

Both bikes are different in character but well built. One is better for performance, other for easy riding.
