• Q. Have been waiting long for either Honda or Yamaha to launch its maxi scooter in India. Now my patience has weared out. Do these motorcycle greats think India is not fit for maxi scooter launches. Waiting eagerly for X Town. Will it be really launched here or is it some sort of a gimmick - X-Town 300i?

For Honda Forza, it's much more expensive here in Singapore. For Yamaha T-max 300cc, it is assemble in indonesia and it is cheaper than Honda Forza. Yamaha T-Max rear suspension is not good in terms of comfort and pillion support. Many Singaporeans changed the rear suspension of Yamaha. If were to compare between Honda forza and yamaha i would rather take Honda Forza though it might be more expensive it is still worth the extra bucks. The honda forza has better front lights design which makes it very noticeable for car drivers to view in terms of safety. Lastly, kymco x-town 300i it is a very comfy bike to ride for long distance and has a longer wheelbase for riders to stretch their legs. The meters, tactometre and front panels are simple and very clear to see. As for the seat it is soft not firm or hard but comfy, buttocks won't feel numb. It is cheaper than Honda and yamaha. Also, it is assembled in taiwan. As for speed, it might lose out to both models but not much i believe around 20 to 25 km. Bottom line is who cares for speed if people chose to ride m**i scooters ya...if speed people wants than chose motorcycle. For me i feel kymco x-town 300i is very reliable, stable at 120km speed, comfortable, total relaxing, design looks cool, maintenance low cos there is no oil filter, only 1 litre of engine oil and transmission gear oil. Remember use 98 unleaded if you want smooth power and better acceleration. But it won't give you higher top speed....Lastly, kymco used to partner with Honda. Kymco engines are also used in Kawasaki J300, BMW C400, BMW GT400 and BMW GT650 you can goggle to check...See ya
