- Both the bikes are good in their forte. In nearly every aspect, except maybe ergonomics and braking, the Yamaha FZS-FI v3.0 fails to impress. While its motor offers better fuel efficiency compared to the previous-gen model, it lacks grunt. If you have around Rs 1 lakh to invest, you're better off with say a TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 or the Suzuki Gixxer. Whereas, the Yamaha MT 15 BS6 is more than just the R15 v3 sans fairing. The naked looks sharp is light and can be a hoot to commute. However, the compact riding posture might be a bit too tight for large riders. What is also disheartening is the poor switchgear and build quality as well as the lack of dual-channel ABS. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- The recommended engine oil grade for Yamaha MT-15 is 10W-40 API service SG type or higher, JASO standard MA and has an engine oil capacity of 0.85 liter.
- U fool its not .85 liter its 1 liter of oil and 850 grams it is. 1 liter oil is 850 grams due to density

My Adventure with the MT 15: An Owner's Tale
When I first laid eyes on the Yamaha MT 15 it was love at first sight. The aggressive design and the 155cc liquid cooled engine promised thrilling rides and it has delivered on every count. With its 18.5 PS power and 13.9 Nm torque it is a beast on open roads and the Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) ensures smooth acceleration regardless of the RPM. The LED headlights not only look sharp but illuminate the road well during night rides. Also the 10 liter fuel tank means frequent stops for refueling on long trips.

A Tale of Power and Minor Setbacks
After months research I finally decided to bring home the Yamaha MT 15 and what a ride it has been. Right off the bat the 155 cc engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology stole my heart. The smooth acceleration and the enough power of 18.5 PS at 10,000 rpm make city commutes and occasional highway sprints an absolute joy. The bike's aggressive stance paired with the LED headlight gives it a mean look that turns heads wherever I go.The bike's somewhat stiff suspension has been a bit of a letdown particularly on the rough patches of Indian roads.
