TVS Radeon Latest Updates

TVS has retained the prices of its entire lineup, including the BS6 Radeon, for June. The commuter motorcycle is priced from Rs 59,992 (ex-showroom Delhi). The TVS Radeon is one of the most popular commuter motorcycles from the Hosur-based brand, renowned for its no-nonsense design, peppy engine, and fuel efficiency.

TVS Radeon Specifications

The TVS Radeon BS6 is powered by a 109cc single-cylinder engine with fuel injection. Working alongside a four-speed transmission, the powerplant produces 8.19PS at 7350rpm and 8.7Nm at 4500rpm. TVS claims the updated fuel-injected engine offers 15 percent more mileage than before. That said, the underpinnings have been unchanged. It continues with a telescopic front fork, twin rear shock absorbers, front 240mm petal disc or a 130mm drum (depending on the variant), and a rear 110mm drum brake.

TVS Radeon Design

The Radeon looks pretty much the part of a typical commuter, reminiscent of the Hero Splendor. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing as the Splendor’s spartan looks are favoured by buyers who prefer a no-nonsense commuter motorcycle. Having said that, the Radeon also makes its presence felt with several chrome elements all over the bodywork. The bike offers a comfortable riding posture thanks to the single-piece seat, tank grips, and upright handlebars. The fit and finish is superb, and the bike feels like it is built to last. The instrument, although a full-analogue unit, is neatly laid out and easy to read at a glance.

TVS Radeon Features

The TVS Radeon comes with a halogen headlight and a horizontal LED DRL. The indicators and the tail lamp are all bulbs. There’s a side-stand indicator, a USB charging port, and an all-analogue instrument cluster showing the speed, fuel level, Econometer lights (Eco and Power, which light up depending on the throttle input), odometer readings, and other tell-tale lights.

TVS Radeon Competitors

The BS6 TVS Radeon goes up against the Hero Splendor Plus and the Bajaj CT110. In its price bracket, the Radeon also competes with the Honda CD 110 Dream and Hero Splendor iSmart 110 BS6.

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Radeon

Q. Why is the price mismatch?
  • The price which is shown on the website from different cities give an approximate idea but they do not include dealer handling charges, logistic charges, accessories charges, or third-party insurance. So, the final quote will be shared by the authorized dealership. We here at ZigWheels, try to get close to the on-road price by including all the basic charges like RTO, standard insurance, etc so that one can make a road map before buying a vehicle.
Q. What is the mileage this bike?
  • The mileage of TVS Radeon is 73.68 kmpl. This is the claimed ARAI mileage for all the variants of Radeon.
Q. How is braking system ? Is it a safe bike?
  • The brakes continue to be a downer, with the Radeon taking almost the same braking distance to come to a dead halt. We were testing the front drum-brake variant, and we thought it lacked braking ferocity. Hopefully, the disc version won’t disappoint. The Radeon still remains a fairly accessible motorcycle for riders of all heights. There are no changes to the stance, with the rider still sitting upright and relaxed. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and riding comfort. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.Read more:- [TVS Radeon BS6 Commuter Of The Year Edition: Road Test Review@https://www.zigwheels.com/reviews-advice/reviews/tvs-radeon-bs6-commuter-of-the-year-edition-road-test-review/41328/

Q. Which bike performance is better among Hero Splendor Plus and TVS Radeon?
  • Selecting the right bike would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. The Splendor is one of the most iconic motorcycles in India and also one of the best-selling. It has proved itself as a dependable workhorse and is backed by a massive sales and service network. However, it remains to be seen whether the Splendor Plus BS6’s sales success will survive the sizable price hike. Hero Splendor Plus is powered by a 97.2 cc engine that generates a max power of 8.02 PS @8000 rpm and a max torque of8.05 Nm @ 6000 rpm. On the other hand, if we talk about TVS Radeon, it is one of the most efficient bikes we’ve tested, comes with a supple suspension setup, soft and well-padded seat is super comfortable. Radeon is equipped with a 109.7 cc engine that generates a max power of 8.19 PS @ 7350 rpm and a max torque of 8.7 Nm @ 4500 rpm. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.

  • Passion 110
