In terms of competition, the Access 125 goes up against the Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter, and the Yamaha Fascino.

If that doesn't catch your fancy, Suzuki also has a Special Edition variant on offer which gets exclusive styling elements, including a contrasting seat cover, chrome mirrors and a brown floorboard. The Suzuki Access 125 competes against the Honda Activa 125, Honda Grazia, TVS NTorq 125, Hero Maestro Edge 125 and the Hero Destini 125

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Access 125 BS4

Q. My daily usage 50km in city, so shill I go for Aprilia SR 125, Access 125 or shill wait till TVS Creon. Please suggest me I need my every ride should good in all comfort, handling, braking and millage.
  • Aprilia sr 125 , storm 125 ,sr 150 (2019 all bs 4 versions) in all these models are equipped with faulty drum brakes, these have CBS system which is completely ridiculous, in terms of engine performance this scooter is very good but when brakes are faulty and not at all prompt then no need to consider those vehicle which have max power but failed to Stop machine promptly, if you are paying extra from all its rivalry segments then its waste for money.....i tried to communicate so many times in written to company but they call us in service center with no solution...there are several reasons why company cannot survive in market and have to bind-up their setup due to their silly mistakes, we have several examples in indian market.. there is no comparison of Activa, access with this scooter and its balancing but due to faulty brakes it gives bitter taste...
Q. Does Suzuki Access 125 have pass switch?
  • The Suzuki Access doesn't have a pass switch. However, the TVS Jupiter hi beam/low beam - c*m pass switch can EASILY be replaced with stock dip-dim switch . The origibal TVS Pass switch is available at Rs. 92/-.Also, the head light on/off switch (of Honda Activa switch) to Suzuki Access can also be fixed at the provision provided (tight hand side - near throttle). The original Activa light switch is available at Rs.54/-.Still interesting is the engine/ignition k**l switch can also be fixed to Suzuki Access. The 'Anupam' on-off switch is available at Rs.35/- per switch. You have to cut the panel at right side of the handle bar (just above the additional switch provision given by company). A good auto electrician can fix all these switches without any problem. The labor charges may be paid by bargaining his demand.Though the pass switch and headlight switch can be fixed with less wiring work, the fixing of engine k**l switch will take more time and energy.

Q. Please explain braking system of Suzuki Access 125, I have been using 125 for last ten years, going to change, please advice for very moderate type driving in Pune city, daily average is 50 kms.
  • You can go for the new Access 125.Someone has already explained the braking system, so I will not go there again. Now, the new Access is much better than the older one. It has a better mileage and is much lighter. As you know from your experience with the older Access, it fully metal and is very heavy, and that also affects its mileage. You can go for the new Access. However, if you have buyer's fatigue about it and want something different, I totally understand. If you want that, a good upgrade for you would be Ntorq 125 or a Vespa. Yes, they are costlier than Access, yes they have lesser fuel efficiency, but these scooters are definitely and UPGRADE over the Access. If you don't want an upgrade and want something similar, then Access 125 and Activa 125 would be good bets.I have an Access 125 Special Edition and ride about 50km a day. It gives me a mileage of 55kmpl on normal fuel and 60kmpl on higher octane fuel. You can also go electric. Bajaj is about to launch its electric scooter on 16th October. You can also look at that and others like Ather, Okinawa, etc.
  • New Access125 is with combi braking system that means once you apply rear wheel brake automatically front wheel also slows down because of this you need not apply front brake .Excellent concept for city running this is best and vehicle will not slip /slide
  • Access 125 will come with drum breaks, disk breaks & CBS (combine brake system). Better you take scooty with disk breaks.

Q. Which is better, Honda Activa 5G or Suzuki Access 125 in terms of mileage, performance, maintenance and service?
  • I dont have any experience with jupiter. But I own honda activa. the power in the vehicle is sufficient but when it comes to the comfort and mileage then it is nowhere especially the front suspension of honda activa is more than worst. The balance and the comfort of the access 125 is also good. The engine of the access is very decent. Overall the honda activa is not a worth buying vehicle.
  • On paper activa does have an advantage it seems when it comes to the to mileage but in real life both activa and access 125 does similar numbers 50kml so access having bigger engine and better ride quality I would say access has better mileage
  • I hv owned aciva 5g before 3 months and regularly using it , I ride it 150 km daily . Its great on 70 to 80 km/hr speed . Engine sounds is less . Great controll , with cross winds . But its morning starting troble with self .

Q. How many problems do you face as a ACCESS 125 owner please mention each and every problem whether it is minor or very big issue. Even I want to buy a scooter I am looking to buy access 125 or else TVS JUPITER.
  • Suzuki access 125 is the worst scooter to buy Used it for 7 long years and I faced the below problems1.starting problem2.engine shut off while vehicle slows down3.automatic acceleration during rainy season4.low mileage5.water enters inside air filter and pick up of vehicle stops mainly during rainy season6.battery died 3 times in 7 years7. Worst headlight nothing can b seen8.odometer died a lot of times9.oil used to drain within 15 days offcourse I used to travel above 2500 kms in a month but tht too much cost consuming10.chok was totally useless and later on it Got stuck ,everyday morning kick start ,self button was a routine task and it used to take 10-15 minutes to start itWon't recommend anyone to buy this scooter
  • I have bought ACESS 125- BS6 IN june 2020. And now service center mechanic has informed me that BS6 model has inbuilt issue, they have encountered HIGH RPM problem which can be corrected by Japanese technicians only, They themselves cannot do anything as this is something related to internal software and not as usual work they do on previous models. Just because of this, self start is not working properly once engine is heated. It's just 3months now, what will be going to happen in next 2-3years, can't imagine and i really not going to suggest anyone to go for access 125.
  • Acess 125 bs6 ... Bought it in jan 2020(pallavaram chennai) as soon as it released . Now july 2020 battery died , never expected that suzuki would give the worst quality in top model scooters .. And its mileage is around 40-50 depends on where you drive .Dealer said it will take minimum 1week for battery replacement till that i cant use my scooter ..!! Personally i woukd say bs4 acess is far better than bs6

Access 125 is the best in it's scooter segment with respect of reliability, cost, performance, pickup and mileage. It's giving me 45 k.m./ltr of petrol and yet to go for first service. Light weight, easy to handle, bike like pickup.. all are excellent. Mine is BS 4 edition with disk brake. However, I had incorporated some changes/additions in my Suzuki Access 125 to get more utility from the vehicle. Though the following actions of mine may void the warranty on my vehicle, I'm not bothered about it.1. Changing of headlight bulb:-Got changed my stock hologen bulb - A.C. 35w with 42w LED Bulb (D.C.) - cost Rs.600/- with slight wiring. Now my vehicle headlight gives me almost 5 times more light then stock bulb.2. Installation of Headlight on/off switch:-There is a provision provided to fix a switch in the right hand side (near throttle) of the Suzuki Access 125. I got fixed Honda Activa headlight on-off switch (cost Rs. 60/-) with slight wiring. Now as soon as I start my vehicle, the front parking lights glow (at headlight off position) thus complying with BS 4 standards. And I can switch on & off my vehicle headlight at my wish.3. Replacing stock parking and indicator bulbs with LED Bulbs:-I had replaced these bulbs with LED Bulbs at a cost of Rs.180/- without any wiring work. A flasher (Rs.70/-) has been fixed along with a buzzer (Rs.30/-). However, back side break light remains A.C. stock bulb only.4. Replacing stock city-cum-highway light switch with Pass switch:-A TVS Jupiter Pass switch is replaced (cost Rs. 98/-) against stock city-cum-highway light switch which perfectly fitted. This will work for all 3 functions i.e. city light, highway light and pass light. Slight wiring is done.5. Fixing of Engine off/kill switch:-This needs careful electrical skill for wiring. An "Anupam" brand on-off switch (cost Rs.35/-) has been installed just above the headlight on-off switch. Now without touching my vehicle key, I can switch off the running vehicle with gentle press of my thumb.6. Replacing stock single horn with double horn:-Replaced with Minda double horn (high & low) at Rs.325/- with cut out (Rs.120/-) by slight wiring work.7. Got fixed mobile Charger-cum-holder at Rs.500/- to my left mirror. The total labour paid for electrical work is 1k.I just purchased and yet to know the mileage of the vehicle. But I'm totally satisfied with the top class performance of engine and above additions.

I purchased in April-2016 and now almost 4 Years & 35,000 KM have been completed of my Suzuki Access 125. I have done all the services in Company Service Station only and Yearly Service Cost is around 2500/- with all spares and oil charges. In this 4 years only major maintenance cost I faced for New rear Tyre and Battery which is quite normal things in vehicles. The only problem is that mileage of my Access is drastically getting down day by day and by today mileage dropped to around 32 KMPL which is economically not good. If service station will not help to improve the mileage then I think for long run this will become useless and I have to purchase a new Vehicle. Also sound of engine is become more aggressive and smoothness is almost finished. Although quality of Body parts & Performance of engine remains excellent and I never faced any break down in this 4 years. If you planning to use this vehicle for 5 years then this is good option for you. For daily use this scooter is more comfortable then its competitors.

The suzuki access 125 is the most practical scooter in the entire scooter segment with the best mix of performance, comfort and practicality.Like every Indian individual I also bought an Activa , the 125 cc one which within the frst week started showing its true colour .. it started rattling the mileage was low and the performance was just a bit better than 110cc activa ... then I bought the access 125 and was really happy with it .. the throttle response was crisp and it takes of the line quicker than many 150cc premium commuters and has also got a decent top speed of about 95kmph and will do 100kmph on the speedometer. Im a keen rider and ride at higher speeds most of the time ane the scooter remains stable even at its top speed and feels stress free while achieving it ... with my kind of riding I manage to extract a mileage of 52 to 55 kmpl whereas if you ride like a normal person it will stretch to about 58 to 60kmpl which is a lot better than the Activa 125 which to date returns a mileage of just 38 to 45 kmpl and doesnt even go over 85kmph . The longer seat and bigger underseat storage is the icing on the cake . I have till date clocked 17000kms on my Access 125 and its still going smooth and strong .😃

Access 125 is best in any road from my experience, like I own many other scooter and when I ride access,it's just give comfortable and for a fast rider like me,the handle bar is like holding an R1 steering, and mileage is the best one for me like I ride it everyday and even the petrol metre say it is empty,I still can go around in my city 2/3 times, also I even catch up with speed 150cc bikers and sometimes I win🏆💪,also maintenance is cheaper than I think, most of all, when I ride at bad road,it feels like sitting on a comfortable car😊if you read this I recommend you to buy it and check it out
