- Dear Yashwant, I also decided to buy Thunderbird 500. As you said, I can wait until they launch in BS6 version. But, what I heard is \'RE will stopped their 500CC varients of bikes in BS6 version\'. Really is that true? Because I would like to buy 500 not 350 or 650. So could you say anything up to this?
- There is no cosmetic difference between 500 and 350 the difference you feel is all about the milage and power but if you wait for a while Thunderbird is going to come in bs6 version and with abs so you will have more value for money. please wait for a month in October it's going to come.
- My opinion is don’t buy RE bikes . Nowadays RE is making only profit out the ppl money and there isn’t any improvement on the vibrations and better pick up. It’s gonna cost more and more on servicing and spares . Look for something Jawa or similar one . But No RE . My experience. They jus wanna manufacture in mass quantities and not a better bikes .
- Mileage will comeout to be 22kmpl, maintainance cost is high, insurance for an year would cost u around 3200. If driving in a city ir small distances the comfort level is the same 350 would be good pick for u
- I think it would suit your personality. Go pick up
- If you can spend more money for maintenance you can go!
- It depends for what purpose you want to have a bike. Surely Himalayan is the bike with less vibrations from Royal Enfield house. Better go with Himalayan if you like adventure riding and Off roading.
- Tb 500 driving comfort I dont thinks so. it vibrates. alot. take a test drive if both. I would suggest u for the himalayan
- Trust me the himalayan is much more comfortable and has far less vibrations than the Tb500There is simply no comparisons.Himalayan is a far better bike.also it is cheaper to buy and maintain
- Try classic 350, jawa cant be trusted so early in the market and tbd 500 would please u on the highways U can also opt for the 350 variant of tbd
- I'll certainly suggest Thunder Bird. Don't get carried away by past glory of jawa. Enfield are experts in four stroke engine manufacture. Or else wait to see if jawa performs to win people's minds.
- Technology jawa is probably BS 6 . Engine I mean power and for long ride and tall guys TB 500
- Very much.it will take u any where just maintain tyre pressure at all times
- You must make some adjustment to the seat position
- Certainly yes
- Well classic is more comfortable than Thunderbird Cz the handle is slightly upwards, its more cruisesable in classic.
- Don't know
- Classic.
- Yes you can , as far as you drive it responsibly and avoid speeding in possible traffic areas. And initially u will need to get use to the bike first . Slowly you will get it that it's all about technique .
- Yes. Go ahead.
- Certainly yes

Great pleassure
Feel great to ride thunderbird 500, Best cruise bike, You can ride whole day comfortably. The mileage is decent you can expect 30 plus on highways and the service cost is less than 3k.
-
Engine performance
Driving this 500cc bike was fun.Engine performance was great with mileage of 30kmpl.Seat was not comfortable for long rides.Maintenance of enfield bikes are high.Specially the fuel pump will stop working after 5-7 years.Replacement from re service centre also does not guarantee a long running fuel pump.Rust on body parts is a major issue in re.Overall good to ride but high on maintenance.
