Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Ninja 1000SX

- Both bikes come in different price ranges. Kawasaki has done a smashing job of making the Ninja 650 a whole lot sportier than before. This sporty vibe stems from its Ninja ZX-6R-inspired looks and builds further with the revv-happy motor that surrounds you with a lovely raspy soundtrack. The suspension setup too is well-tuned to tackle bad tarmac stretches. There are a few drawbacks like the erratic ABS intervention, low ground clearance and tyres that don’t perform too well in wet conditions. The latter two can be solved by taking extreme precaution over oversized speed humps and by swapping out the tyres for something grippier. The ABS calibration issue can be a bit unnerving but you will have to pay more heed when grabbing the brakes. As a whole though, the Ninja 650 BS6 certainly appeals to both the mind as well as the heart, making it a good option for someone who wants to go out there and buy their first proper big bike. On the other hand, If budget is not a issue and looking for a better power performance at a price and often go for long rides, Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX would be a good option. However, it is a bit heavier side and a bit difficult to handle in narrow roads or in city conditions. Apart from it, it offers better feature list, riding modes and better road grip. Also, it is the cheapest bike in its segment that delivers 142 PS/111 Nm. You may compare both bikes accordingly. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is powered by an 1043cc inline-four motor makes the same 142PS at 10,000rpm and 111Nm at 8000rpm as before, mated to a 6-speed transmission. Check out the following article for more details: Kawasaki Rides In The New And Improved Ninja 1000SX BS6.
- The mileage of Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is 9 Kmpl. This is the claimed ARAI mileage for all the variants of Ninja 1000SX.
- Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is a liter-class sports tourer motorcycle. It is powered by a 1043cc inline-four motor that makes the same 142PS at 10,000rpm and 111Nm at 8000rpm as its BS4 counterpart. You may check out the following article for more details: Kawasaki Rides In The New And Improved Ninja 1000SX BS6.
- The estimated top speed of Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is 250kmph.
- 410kmph
- Kawasaki Ninja 1000 has a decent seat height of 815 mm and it would be comfortable enough for an average rider. As per your height, you may find comfortable enough for short rides but sitting for long hours might make you a bit uncomfortable. Do take a test ride for better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.

- Lot of folks I know started with 1000 or larger bikes. It only gos as fast as you turn your wrist. That being said how good are you at taking it easy?
- First go for 650. Then go for 1000. 411cc and 1043CC alot of differrence
- First to ninja 650 then to a1000ccyou can directly jump if you respect speed and power.
- I own a ninja 1000 and frequently take it out on trips. Highway fuel efficiency is around 19 kmpl if you cruise at speeds around 100-120. This bike is not meant for the city hence pointless discussing city FE which will be around 15 kmpl.
- I get 18 kmph on highway. And city 15. Average i get 16.5 + kms
- 15 to 20 km per litre if you don't rev hard.

Perfect bike for both touring and weekend rides. Looks and feels great to ride and packed with features. Most value for money superbike and an amazing do it all bike. If you can have just one superbike and want to do it all then this is it. Only thing you've gotta look out for when riding in the city is the ground clearance, at 135mm it's a little too low for our monstrous speed breakers. The up and down quick shifter, TFT display and cruise control are amazing additions ❤️
