Q. Which one is best Benelli TRK 502 or Versys 650?

Answer

I think, there was a comparison video done by Overdrive.. Check in YouTube. Being a Versys 650 owner, I would not prefer TRK502 due to its weight, under power engine, reliability issues and past history of the brand Benelli in India. You must look between V-Strom 650 and Versys 650 if you are in market to buy one.

Q. What is service cost of Kawasaki versys 650?

Around 7k for every 6000 kms....then you can add tyres and brake pads and other wear and tear parts as extra.

I would Reccomended you the Vstrom650. Reason... global riding you need as light as possible , I ride a GS1200 And a TIGER800Xcx. / but on found a rented v-storm 650 I had in Thailand a God sent. Reason is you are going for long terrain hilly mountainous roads . Many time can get traffic clogged . The vs650 move at slow speed extremely well , much better in fact than the tiger and GS I feel. Also Much less clutch work. Seem to have a higher low end torque (maybe due to the vtwin) for slow hill climbing and engine braking than the Tiger. And the vtwin is really a gem of an engine . Top end speed is also no slouch . More than can legally handle. Ride comfort was superb with that amazing seat (better than the GS). Cheap easy to push around , parts pebbly easier to get also . Maybe you loose out at the top end speed and handling. But you are not going to do that in a globe trek tour. Hands down bro .

As per your requirements, you may go for Kawasaki Versys 1000. It delivers great power and it is comfortable too. It may not be the sharpest tool in its segment in every aspect, but its long-range comfort and inspired handling go a long way toward getting you (and a passenger) from point A to a far-away point B with a smile on your face. Q. I am planning to buy my first bike. My shortlisted choices are very small Vulcan S650 and Versys 650. Considering Indian road conditions, which bike would you recommend me? My budget is around 6.5 lakhs INR. Any other options are also welcome.

These are entirely different types of bikes - Cruiser and Semi ADV. Secondly Versys is more expensive and it isn’t available for Rs 6.5 Lac (assuming you are not buying a used one). I paid Rs 7.08 Lac for Vulcan itself (Bengaluru). Both are big bikes. Versys is a little more gigantic/bulky than Vulcan making it difficult to be a daily commuter. Vulcan May be slightly better on this aspect, but it has a pathetic 130 mm ground clearance which makes it somewhat difficult to ride over speed bumps and potholes in Cities. But Versys is a better All-rounder compared to Vulcan since it has some off-roading capability.If you are ok with the might/bulk of Versys and its higher Price, Versys May be a better choice.( I wanted Cruiser, so I chose Vulcan ).However, if your rides are a good combination of daily commute and touring, Z650 and Ninja650 are better options compared to Versys and Vulcan.

Yes.. You can either install an Aftermarket exhaust or get ‘fork raisers’ installed.. Since I live in Bengaluru where cops seem to be very strict about aftermarket exhausts ( and also due to these exhausts being very expensive ), I got ‘fork raisers’ installed which raise the frame by a couple of inches thereby increasing the ground clearance by about an inch..Note that these fork raisers are not some standard accessories you can buy.. These were fabricated and installed at a workshop owned by a member of one of the riding clubs, so you need to check if such fabrication and installation can be done by someone in your city..

Hi,I would suggest you to decide priority and need first .Every segmented bike have different purpose .Versys meant to be for off touring purpose including some off road capabilities.Vulcun is good for city ride and for daily commuting but sometimes it will create problem as ground clearance is not so good.Ninja 650 is a good sports tourer with comfortably adjusted upright clip on handlebar also you can enjoy weekend rides in city as well as on highway.Decide what you want take test ride of all the bikes and choose accordingly

Q. Is any permission required from any authority to buy bike more than 500cc - Versys 650?

In India, I don't think so. All you need is a two wheeler (with gear) license.

Q. I want to buy a good adventure motorcycle my budget is 20 to 22 lakh but I am confused should I go for 1 bike which would cost me around 20L like the Tiger or Africa Twin or should I go for two mid size adventure bikes like a Versys 650 and a V-Strom 650 which would both come under my budget?

Q. My height 5.3 ft, will it be comfortable me - Versys 650?

It will be comfortable to RIDE but you may have problems touching your feet full flat on the ground as the seat height is high.

It's a tall bike. I am 5'10 and just about to tiptoe. However there are lowering options available. Once on the move it's one of the easier big bikes to handle. Do have a test ride and decide.

Question 8

Q. I am 5' 5". Will I be able to climb the bike easily and handle it stably I am more concerned about climb and getting down from the bike since it is 890 mm height. Please suggest. - Versys 650?

On straight road, its not a big problem. Only in traffic and other off-road areas, you will feel the seat height a major issue. Its 840mm and seat is bit wider which makes sitting comfortable but flat footing difficult. Test ride and decide if it suits you.
