Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying CBR250R
Q. When will the Honda launches CBR250RR in India and what will be its price?
Q. I want to buy an used bike and use for some time. I have shortlisted the Honda CBR250R and pulsar RS200. I am confused between these. My main requirements are, the bike should be reliable for long drives and comfort, good ride quality and easy maintenance and a good engine refinement. Are ther any other options that you could suggest me in this segment?Saheb | 2 months ago
CBR250R should be the choice. It is perfect and reliable for long rides. It is pretty comfortable and has a good ride quality. It has a much more refined and dependable engine when compared to a Bajaj and requires lesser maintenance than a Bajaj. CBR250R should be the choice.
Q. Can I go for a long distance journey without the first service of CBR? Does it give any issue in future?Soumo | 3 months ago
The first 3 services are very critical in maintaining a healthy engine and its components in the long run. The engine parts "sets" in this time and a lot of sharp/unwanted parts are cut and floats in the oil, which is why the oil needs to be changed frequently in these first few services. Rising long distance without first service could harm your engine and components due to high stress and heat. Better get the 1st Service DONE before you undertake a long journey, even if enough KMS are not yet clocked.Zigwheels | 3 months ago
Generally, the first service of the bike is required just after a few hundred kilometres. As the bike's engine get acquainted with the oil and riding conditions. You may go on a long tour before the first service with your bike but it is recommended to ride in the economy speed zone(40-60kmph). Riding more than 60kmph may rather decrease the bike's performance in the long term use of the bike.
Q. WHICH ONE IS BETTER TO BUY KTM Duke 200, PULSAR 220 OR CBR 250?Abdul | 6 months ago
It depends on your requirements, so you sould describe you requirements in details. Most important: These are high speed machines. >135 km/h.In most of our roads you will need ABS for these speed. The only bike which provides ABS is CBR 250R.If you will ride within 40 minutes on daily basis then go for CBR 250R as its seating position is slightly leaned forward.
Q. WHICH BIKE HAVE HIGH MAINTAINCE COST AMONG CBR 250 AND ROYAL ENFIELD THUNDERBIRDSoumo | 5 months ago
RE has niggling issues, very high NHV specially above 80 kph, and high maintenance. CBR250R is proven smooth bulletproof Honda engine, very well put together bike and moderate maintenance cost. Any highend bike will have some maintenance cost - oil, filters and periodic changes are required.
Q. Is it good for long commute? Second is it better than Apache rr 310? And lastly any problem in service - CBR250R?Debasish | 8 months ago
I took test ride of RR 310 before I bought my 2018 CBR 250. The main plus point of RR310 is 1. Great design which reminds me the Italian bike the panigale. 2. Lots of feature in instrument console like lap timer etc. 3. A powerful engine from BMW which is more powerful that The CBR. 4. Good tire. But It inherits the one character of the maker-TVS: the vibration. The feel and feedback when you ride a CBR is much better. May be it does not have all the cutting edge feature. But the heart of the bike- that quarter litter butter smooth single cylinder engine is the best in class. There is no vibration at all. You can Ride it all day at a speed of 80-100. The seats are too good and soft. It is good enough to take care of your back. If you want to buy, take the test ride of both and then take your decision.Soumo | 8 months ago
Yes it is a good bike to long commutes or city rides. I use it daily for one-way 35 km commute in Mumbai. ONE thing to remember is that this is no traffic-cutter - you cannot cut aggressively through traffic - this bike does not have that tight turning radius, and I have slipped a few times in such situation. APACHE 310RR is similar with a shade more power and weight. I have test ridden the 310 RR and found it to be similar to the CBR250. HONDA Service has no problems, the bike has no issues, service is not expensive and available at major Honda service centrers. AVOID outside service please.
